Third Person's POV

"The Fight for Freedom seems never ending" Aleena narrated as the doors of a factory opens and a tank appears "And it was not suprising that sometimes our children could get discouraged" Markus narrated.

"Let's do it to it!" Sonic said as he and Brody jump through a rocky path followed by Sonia and they run towards the factory "Hedgehog and Wolf!" A swatbot said and the three separate going different ways and the two swatbots split up going after them allowing Manic to get to the factory "Time to rock and roll!" Manic said unveiling his drums set and bangs them loudly but infrequently causing a rumbling effect while the robots pursue the wolf and other two hedgehogs.

"Yeah!" Sonic and Brody said as Manic juggles his drum sticks hitting his drums much more frequently as Sonic, Brody and Sonia run towards eachother and turn at the right moment making the robots hit eachother and explode. Manic then hits the drum with all his might makig the rumble disintegrate a mountain, and eventually a building. "Nice work!" Sonia said "You got the beat Manic!" Brody said "Like taking Wing nut from a swatbot!" Manic said when he hears a noise "Huh? Incoming!" He said as an aircraft shoots a laser at the group and they all hide in different places. Inside the robot is Dingo and Sleet, with the latter holding the controls "You got him Sleet!" Dingo said and Sleet looks to the right seeing something and snickers. Sonia's handbag is seen on its own "We just make sure" Sleet said as the aircraft crashes behind a rock and the duo explore whe Dingo spots Sonia's handbag "Look!" Dingo said "They are toast!" Sleet said "born again, Sleet!" Sonia said as the four angrily approach them with Sonic and Brody holding their guitars "By a landslide!" Sonic said as the twi shoot their guitars as Sleet and Dingo duck and the shots hits a rock behind them and crumbles knocking them down "Hey, Sonic, Brody. Why have you two caught Sleet and Dingo buried up to their necks?" Sonia asks "Not enough rocks?" Sonic and Brody causing the four of them to laugh.

*Later at Robotropolis*

"You have failed me again!" Robotnik said "But sir? I can explain" Sleet said "Silence!" Robotnik said "But but sir?" Sleet asks "What part of 'silence' don't you understand?!" Robotnik asks "I created a new weapon" he said "A new weapon? You're so clever" Sleet said and Robotnik growls making Sleet giggle nervously "I've named it 'Artificial Robot Technology' but you may call it ART" Robotnik said pressing a button that opens the doors to his new creation "Behold the future. Powerful, deadly, unstoppable!" He said moving aside to reveal his creation, it was a slim robot about half Robotnik's height and Sleet looks down at it and laughs with Dingo "That's going to wipe out the resistance?" Sleet asks "A demonstration please" Robotnik said and the small robot touches a wall and it conducts electricity and destroys the entire wall. It then emerges from the carnage and grows massive "Not only is he strong, but he will think, and will continue to learn. ART is like a son to me, he is my hedgehog and wolf eradication proect!" Robotnik said "That is so brilliant, Dr. Robotnik! When do you want us to start using it... erm... ART?" Sleet asks "Oh no. ART works alone, but I do have some dirty business for you" Robotnik said "Dirty business? Ooh, that's right up our alley" Sleet said and Dingo laughs. Robotnik ends up having them clean an alleway with Sleet morphing Dingo into a vacuum cleaner "Alley! Why did I have to say 'Alley'?!" Sleet asks.

*Meanwhile with the heroes*

Manic is tapping his drums in annoyance "Man, what's keeping you?" Brody asks "It's just well..." Manic said and hits his drums "I've been thinking... we beat, Butt-nik rebuilds. What's the point?" He asks "Hey, we just munched a solid-fuel installation. That's not too shabby" Sonic said "Yeah I guess. Seems like nothing really changes" Manic said with a sigh "Guys, big trouble" Sonia said putting a chip into a machine playing a recording "Check this out!" Sonia said.

"If we can increase the..watch out!" A mobian said as ART breaks through the wall and approaches them. The two mobians shoot at ART but to no effect and ART grabs them with their vines "I am ART. You are next, wolf and hedgehogs" ART said as the recording ends.

"What was that?" Manic asks "trouble" Brody said "Big trouble, and if we beat this thing, Buttnik will just send something else!" Manic said angrily "Manic I know how you feel" Sonia said putting her arms around him "but we can't just give up" she said "Check this out" Brody said rewinding the recording "This thing always dodges to the right" Sonic said "Hmm, interesting" Sonia said.

*Later*

Inside the van, Brody is looking through a telescope in search of ART "There's no sign of him" Sonia said as ART detects infra-red images of the three hedgehogs and one wolf through its sensors "Wolf and Hedgehog: bad. Must destroy Wolf and Hedgehogs" ART said. Manic still annoyed tossed and catches his sticks"Manic!" Brody snapped when suddenly ART's arm punched through the wall "Oh gosh!" Sonia said "Yeah, he's cutting through the wall!" Manic said and the four get out the van "It's that ART dude. Go on! Brody and I'll keep him busy!" Sonic said and Sonia and Manic run away. Brody and Sonic summon their guitars and try the tactic but it didn't work and ART wrapped the two with its vines and started dragging them away but they spin breaking free "Hey. How you get away?" ART asks "You figure it out, bolt boy!" Brody and Sonic said running off "I will. You'll see" ART said.

*Later*

The four are walking on a platform "Let's check this place out" Sonia said "Great" Manic said rolling his eyes "Lose a tooth bro!" Sonic said "I wonder where that ART creature is" Sonia said "Well, you don't have to wonder anymore" Brody said as ART showed up and after a tense fight Sonic and Brody managed to drop him in a lava cauldron and the four heroes leave unaware that ART survived and hits a wall restoring his body "Destroy wolf and hedgehogs. No problemo" ART said.

*Later at the hideout*

"We really kicked some bot butt!" Sonic said "Yeah but I bet buttnik's already working on something better" Manic said annoyed "Oh get over it Manic. Come on! Let the music move ya!" Somia said "Yeah, you're right sis" Manic said and the four start playing their instruments. Unaware that ART's vine emerges through a vent and wraps itself around the four heroes and lifts them in the air "No spin. I told You I would learn" ART said "Ok, you got it. So go ahead and take us in!" Manic said "First make more of that....noise" ART said "Noise?!" Sonic and Brody ask struggling "The noise you were making" ART said "That was music! Something Buttnik prohibited!" Sonia said "Buttnik, buttnik. Oh. Robotnik. Robotnik. Buttnik, hahahaha, that is very funny. Now play that noi-music" ART said setting the heroes down and the four play a song.

*After the song*

"You're actually letting us go?" Sonia asks "Yes. I have learnt, about freedom and friendship" ART said "Dude, come on, before it changes his mind" Manic said "Wait please!" ART said "Oh right I knew it was too good to be truth" Manic said "No. You may go. I just want.... to be a Freedom Fighter. Robotnik taught me to capture Freedom Fighters. That was wrong. I must fix that" ART said "He's a fast learner, so what do you guys think?" Sonic asks "I think we bring him on board!" Sonia said "I think the same" Brody said "How do you know we can trust him?" Manic asks "Because we're the priority one hedgehog and wolf, and he's not dragging our butts to Robotnik, right big guy?" Sonic asks "Right Sonic. You do not trust me Manic?" ART asks "Suspicion is good when you're on the run guy" Manic said and sighs "but you gotta trust somebody sometime. Okay you're in" he said "That makes me feel.... something" ART said "Feelings too? Getting better and better!" Brody said "Now if you can make chili dogs you'd be perfect!" Sonic said.

*Meanwhile at Robotnik's Base*

Robotnik sees ART helping the Sonic Underground "I can't believe it! My own creation! Sleet, get over here!" Robotnik said and Sleet walks over to him "Yes sir?" Sleet asks "Destroy that bot!" Robotnik said "Yes, sir!" Sleer said.

*Back with the heroes*

"And then the Oracle told us about the prophecy" Brody said "Prophecy? What's that?" ART asks "It's a foretelling of the future. This prophecy says that someday we'll reunite with our parentd and defeat Robotnik!" Sonia said "That would be good?" ART asks "Yes, but my question is when? For all we know, it could happen twenty years from now. Why bother!" Manic said annoyed  "Hmm... why bother?" ART asks as Sonic runs to a wall anf pushes a button and it opens the computer and starts typing "Message coming in. It's from Cyrus" Sonic said and Sonia looks "Oh my gosh! Robotniks captured our parents!" Sonia said.

*Later*

The heroes break through the fortress with ART's help till they reach the high security facility and find Aleena and Markus in a cell and ART unlocks it and the five get in only for them to realise those were holograms and Sleet reveals himself in hologram form and starts a trap that makes the room start caving in trying to crush the group. ART tryes to shoot his lasers at the wall but it doesn't work so he then extends his arms out wide to both sides of the room and tries to push the walls with all his might "Nice try but those hydraulics are much stronger than you. You are about to become a hunk of useless metal!" Sleet said laughing vanishing.

"Get.... the... back wall! It is the weak point! Use weapons!" ART said and Sonic, Sonia and Brody summoned their instruments and shoot at the wall "Let me try!" Manic said summoning his drums and starts playing it forming cracks in the wall "Get that spot with your weapons!" Manic said putting his drums back and Sonic, Sonia and Brody shoot again making a hole in the wall and the three go through "Come on ART. Let's go!" Manic said "I will stay. As you say, why bother. My actions will not defeat Robotnik" ART said "Maybe not this time, but you gotta try!" Manic said and realizes something "Oh, ok I get it" He said  "Yes, Manic. ART is not the only one who learns.  Now go" ART said "Come on, man. I learned my lesson. Let's get out of here!" Manic said "It is too late  if I try to leave I will be smashed. But it is alright. I have fought for freedom and I have made music" ART said "Thanks to you hedgehogs and wolf, my life had value. Now... go" ART said "Later man" Manic said sad and left "Goodbye....friends!" ART said and uses his laser to open a hole in another wall for the heroes to escape but he gets crushed in the end. Sonia and Manic hold on to Brody and Sonic and the duo runs away.

*Later*

"Where is he? The supply depot's just around the corner!" Sonic said "It shouldn't have taken Manic this long to set those explosives. Maybe we shoumd-" Sonia said when Manic arrived on his hoverboard "Finished!" Manic said "What took you so long?" Brody asks as Manic jumps off his hoverboard "I added fifty kilos to the load!" Manic said "Fifty?! That's gonna vaporize the place!" Sonic said as a large explosion is seen in the distance and the four watch "Just thought I put on a little light show" Manic saud chuckling sadly "In memory of ART!" Manic said "In memory of ART!" Sonic, Brody and Sonia said hugging Manic as this chapter comes to an end.
