Third Person's POV

"Everyone has a place that their heart yearns for" Aleena said "A place they call 'home'. Manic is about to find such a place. But his newfound home may mean the end of the Sonic Underground" Markus said.

Brody, Sonic, Sonia and Manic where walking through a forest "Some birthday party! Please remind me why we're celebrating the date of our birth tracking down a fairy tale" Sonia said as a branch hits her "Oof! In a forest where even the grubby old trees have a bad attitude, ugh!" She said "Grubby, yes! But whether Mobodoon's a fairy tale remains to be seen" Brody said "Come on, sis! You know the word is the Oracle said we were born there. And when the moon's full on the second even day of the third month, bam, it shows up just like clockwork! Today's the day and I just know when Mobodoon shows up, so will Ma and Brody's dad!" Manic said "I wanna see mother as well as you. But all I see now are dirty trees, yuck!" Sonia said panting "In that case, the Super Sonic and Super Brody tree-trimming service!" Sonic said as he and Brody spin around cutting down the dead trees clearing a path for them and then they all moved foward.

They run into Dingo morphed into a tree but they managed to sent him flying onto Sleet "Looks like Robotnik believes in the legend too" Sonic said "Yeah or else he wouldn't have sent his pet goons" Brody said "Lucky their bark was worse than their bite!" Sonia said "Heads up! Mobodoon could be showin' up any minute" Manic said "And mother and Brody's father...just might be there waiting! Dirty or not, Mobodoon, here we come!" Sonia said as Sleet morphs Dingo into a motorcycle and the chase after the heroes run off crossing through a portal-like fog along with Sleet and Dingo to Mobodoon.

Sleet and Dingo ended up splitting up, Dingo stayed to spy on the heroes while Sleet goes get back up.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Mobodoon" Sonic said "I can't velieve it. It really exists!" Sonia said "Totally digging! Now the only thing we need to make this birthday complete is-" Manic said "Mom!" "Mother!" "Dad!" Sonic, Sonia and Brody said "Hm, yeah.." Manic said stealing an apple "Yum!" He said "Wait!" The mayor of the city said walking to Manic who gasped "Trying to get us thrown out of here?!" Sonia asks "Whaddya doin'?" Brody asks "Oh, it's cool! It's not what you think! I-I was just-" Manic said "This one's not ripe yet. Here, take this one. It's better!" The mayor said switching the apple with another one "Uh, thanks ma'am, but I....don't have any money" Manic said and the mayor chuckles "We don't use money in Mobodoon! Everyone's welcome to all our town has to offer" she said "Really?" Sonic, Sonia and Brody asked "In that case, there's a beauty spa that's playin' my song!" Sonia said and Sonic and Brody sniff "And Sonic and I could swear there's the distinct aroma of chili dog on the breeze!" Brody said as the two take off and Sonia goes to the spa while Manic stays eating the apple "Wait Manic! I have something to show you" the mayor said "Hey! My....you know my name!" Manic said and the mayor snickers "Of course I do! I know all four of you" she said "How?" Manic asks "You'll learn everything in due time. Please, won't you come with me? First let me introduce myself. I'm Mayor Whinnyham, leader of Mobodoon. And if I may say so; it's good to finally have you back where you belong" the mayor said as they walk through the street "So you're telling me?" Manic asks as he sees a large jewel "What is that?" He asks "Our Power Stone. It gives us the ability to return to your world from our own dimension. As well as energizing the special beauty of our very special town!" The mayor said and takes Manic inside a house with four baby cribs, each with the face of Sonic, Sonia, Manic and Brody "Is this...?" Manic asks "This is where you were born. It's your home" the mayor said and Manic gasps.

"Aw man! Someone really cared! About Sonic, Brody, Sonia....and me! Wow.... I never thought I'd see this day. Sonic and Brody have always been cool, havin' their mondo world as their home always together. And Sonic, heh! With all those servants and stuff, I always thought she had too much of a home! But me...*sniffs* I always wanted to just have one place where I really belonged. A place I could call my own" Manic said "You have that now, Manic. Truly you do!" The mayor said.

Meanwhile Sonic and Brody where waiting outside, Brody was sharing his chili dog with Sonic "Wow! These chili dogs are worth a four year wait. Suprelo to the extreme!" Sonic said as he and Brody take a bite "Hmph, I feel so much better!" Sonia said walking out when Dingo still as a motorcycle runs along and splashes Sonia "What?! Sonia Spin!" Sonia said spinning like a tornado and sends dingo flying to a dumpster and heads back in the spa.

"We're waitiiiiiing!" Brody and Sonic said "Sorry Sonic and Brody but there are just some things you can't rush" Sonia said walking out "Where as some people are just naturally good lookin'!" Brody said brushing his hand on the fur top of his head and Sonic giggles and the three start walking "Where's Manic?" Sonia asks "Good question sis" Sonic said "We'd better track him down before Buttnik's henchgoons do" Brody said when they walk past the building Manic is in and Manic pulls the three inside startling them "Guys look! You're not gonna believe it! Can you dig where we are?" Manic asks as Sonic, Brody and Sonia gasp seeing the cribs "Is this....nah, couldn't be!" Sonic said "You serious?" Brody asks "It's the place where we were born! We're home! And I'm here to stay" Manic said suprising the three "Huh?" Sonic, Brody and Sonia ask confused.

"Manic, get serious! You can't stay here" Sonia said "I hate to say it, but she's right! What about the Sonic Underground?" Sonic asks "what about our freedom fightin' cause?" Brody asks "I can relate to that. But what about finding Ma and your dad Brod? Isn't that important too?" Manic asks "Of course, but what does-" Sonia said "Listen and learb, dear sis. Mayor Whinnyjam was here when we were born" Manic said "Wait a Mobius minute!" Sonic said "That means you know my dad and their mom as well?" Brody asks "They're two of my very bes friends" the mayor said "Which means you'd also know if it's true that they come here when-" Sonic said "For all I know, they may have already arrived" the mayor said "You see?" Manic asks and they all walk out.

"Wow! Oh man! This town is incredible!" Manic said as the crowd cheers them "Oh, sure, but where's the adventure?" Sonic asks "Can you imagine being stuck with all this bliss for years with nowhere to go?" Brody asks "Not only that, but I haven't seen a single designer boutique! On the other hand, it is the most beautiful place I've ever seen" Sonia said "So I say we introduced ourselves to our hometown homies! Sonic Underground style!" Manic said as the four summon their instruments and they play a song.

After the song, Markus and Aleena watch from afar as many ships and a big vehicule piloted by Sleet reached the city "can't you do anything right?" Sleet asks morphing Dingo back to normal "How dare you and your metal misfits barge uninvited into m town!" The mayor said "How dare I? This how I dare! I have come in my official capacity as tax collector extraordinaire, representing Doctor Robotnik, supreme tyrant of Mobius! Here's an assessment for Mobodoon's back taxes. Unpaid since the last time you showed up in our world!" Sleet said "Nice try Sleet-meat! But Robuttnik has no jurisdiction here" Brody said "Au contraire, my little yellow one! These swatbots say he does" Sleet said "But Mobodoon doesn't run on money! How could we ever pay this?" The mayor asks "From where I stand there are plenty of items of value in this town. But that's not really your concern" Sleet said and rips the key from the mayor's sash "Because you've just been officially imoeached as mayor of Mobodoon!" He said "You're not taking anything from Mobodoon, dog-breath!" Sonic said "Security! Front and center!" Sleet said "It's time to rock 'em and sock 'em, gang! Sonic Underground Style!" Brody said as the four try to summon their instruments but can't "Oh no! The medallions are still drained from our song" Sonia said "Well, well, well!" Sleet said "Slight change in strategy guys. Let's juice, jam and scram!" Sonic said as they run off.

"It's moments like these that I live for. Anything that has the least value, sentimental or otherwise, haul it away!" Sleet said as the swatbots take everything of value in the town, including whole houses "Paradise, hah! This town is history! But we mustn't forget the most important thing" Sleet said "What's that?" Dingo asks "This incredibly valuable-looking whatever it is" Sleet said as the swatbots take the power gem and the city's plants started withering.

"If only we recharged our medallions on the Power stone before Sleet and his goons-" Brody said "It would have been too dangerous. The energy surge would have destroyed the entire town. On the other hand, without the power stone, Mobodoon will possess only a pale remnant of its former glory. And once it fades from this world, it will never return" the mayor said "Aw, man! I can't believe it! I finally find a place to call home and now Mobodoon is.... Mobodoomed!" Manic said.

"Oh, our poor town. It's lost so much of its life and beauty, and soon it will fade from your world forever!" The mayor said "Listen up, Underground. We gotta regroup, recharge, wreak maximum havoc on our mangy paks Dingo and Sleet, amd bring the Power Stone back where it belongs" Brody said "You must hurry, before Mobodoon fades from your world for good!" The mayor saif "Brody and I'll stall the convoy while you slowmos catch up" Sonic said "Adiós!" Brody and Sonic said running off. "But what about your plans to stay in Mobodoon?" Sonia asked Manic "Hey, if we don't save the Power Stone, Mobodoon won't be worth staying in for anyone" Manic said "You know, there are times when I don't half mind being your sister. Now if Mayor Whinnyham can just help me with some supplies, we can be outta here!" Sonia said "What? Like hair spray, nail polish...?" Manic asks "Yeah, along with grappling hooks, rope, not to mention high explosives. If you got 'em!" Sonia said "Oh, I had no idea they taught that kind of stuff in charm school!" Manic said as they walk off.

"Excelente! We've got you right where we want ya" Brody said as they see the trucks and Sonic a d Brody run pushing a tree in the middle of their causing the trucks a d swatbots to stop "Why are we stopping for a punny tree?" Sleet asks as Brody and Sonic show themselves "Ah, that's why. Eliminate them!" Sleet said as the swatbots shoot and Sonic and Brody run dodging "Nuh-nuh, missed us!" Sonic and Brody said piling more trees on the road block "Ram those trees!" Sleet said and the truck tried but failed and the other two trucks behind crash into the first one while Sonic and Brody get on a tree branch and Manic and Sonia arrived swinging on a vine.

"Stylish entrance sibs!" Sonic said "I have to say your delaying tactics show a certain flair as well" Sonia said "Do we know this girl?" Sonic asks "Trying to save Mobodoon seems to bring out the best in us all" Manic said "You got that one right, bro! So what's the plan?" Sonia asks "I'm glad you asked! Manic you take our medallions and recharged them with the power stone. Sonic, Sonia and I will keep them busy" Brody said taking off his medallion and so did Sonic giving them to Manic "How do we know he's not just gonna sell 'em at some pawn shop?" Sonia asks jokingly handing her medallion "You don't!" Manic said jokingly.

The trio of Sonia, Sonic and Brody kept Sleet and company distracted while Manic sneaked in the truck and got to the Power Stone and recharged the medallions and quickly got out as the Stone made a small explosion and Manic reunited with his friend and siblings.

"If Mayor Whinnyham's right..." Brody said as they summoned their instruments "Only one way to find out!" Manic said as the four start playing causing the stone to shine bright as try destroy swatbots "That awful noise! I can't take it!" Sleet said running away "Okay! Let's get this convoy up and back to Mobodoon, while there's still a Mobodoon to get back to" Sonic said as he and Brody get on one truck, Manic on the second one and Sonia on the last one as they drive back to Mobodoon.

When they arrived Sonic and Brody grabbed the Power Stone back in its place returning life to Mobodoon "How can I ever repay you?" The Mayor asks "You can take good care of our brother" Sonic said "But of course!" The mayor said "Good luck in your new home, bro" Sonic said "Quick you three! This is your last chance to go!" The mayor said as Sonic, Sonia and Brody walked to the exit "Wait a second guys!" Manic said "We're waitiiing! But make it snappy" Sonic said "Don't forget to visit" Manic said "Like we'd ever forget our bro!" Sonic said as the three stepped out but stopped "Wait a minute! What about our Mom and Brody's dad?" Sonic asks "Yeah! Did they ever show up?" Manic asked "Oh, I almost forgot! They dropped by while you were saving the Power Stone. They are sorry they couldn't stay, but they said to wish you all a very happy birthday!" The mayor said "Whoa! Gotta jam!" Sonic said as he, Sonia and Brody walk away looking down "Why all the long faces guys?" Manic asks walking up to them causing Sonic, Brody and Sonia to gasp "Manic!" Sonic said "You're back!" Sonia said "Yeah, how come?" Brody asks "See the thing is, Mobodoon's a beautiful place. But I finally figured it out. My real home has always been... with the three of you! Besides, Freedom Fighters all over Mobius are counting on the Sonic Underground. And without a drummer you guys couldn't play your way out of a paper bag!" Manic said as he, Sonic and Sonia hug "Yes! We're family again! Together at last!" Sonia said "Yeah! Together again, all right!" Sonic said "Catch ya next time, Mobodoon! What are you guys hangin' around for? We've gotta jam if we're gonna catch up with mom and Brody's dad!" Manic said as the four run off and this chapter comes to an end.
