Third Person's POV

"Sometimes, in the fight against tyranny..." Aleena narrated "We find friends in the most unlikely places" Markus narrated.

"Dude, talk about the middle of nowhere! Couldn't we have just sent these guys a card?" Manic said as he drives them through a desert "It may not look like much, but the nomads out here have been fighting Buttnik for years! Legend has it the tribe's chef Ifyoucan was captured by Buttnik, but escaped. The Resistance needs anyone who can get away from Buttnik!" Sonic said "But how can anyone live out here? There's no water, no shade, no air-conditioned malls, and you go through an awful lot of sun screen" Sonia said with a fan turned on and sunscreen "Ugh!" Brody said and the three look to see him flopped on his chair panting with his ears pin down and sweating "You three are lucky, meanwhile I can't stand this heat!" Brody said "Oh yeah, your fur makes heat tougher on you" Sonic said "But yeah, it is toasty!" He said "I'm having a meltdown!" Brody said when they engine beeps "So's the engine" Manic said as the van stops and Brody groans annoyed "Uh, S-Sonia, uh, how much of that sun screen did you bring?" Sonic asks as the four get out the van.

"Brody can you fix the van quick?" Sonia asks as Brody was looking in the van "No. This heat is killing me, plus I don't got the tools to fix" Brody said "Looks like we're walking" Sonic said "Great. A million square miles of beach, and no ocean. Show me the city! I can't stand all this wide open space! Show me the city!" Manic said "Get over it bro! Nobody said being in the resistance was a walk in the park" Sonic said "I just want some water and I'll be set" Brody said with a sigh "Don't worry love, we'll find water.... I hope" Sonic said patting Brody on his back "But this wasn't supposed to be a hike through the desert, either. What good could a bunch of nomads who live in a sandbox be to the Freedom Fighters?" Manic asks when a group of swatbots show up "Swatbots! Its juice and jam time. Stand back!" Sonic said when the four hear something and they see Nomads appear and take down the swatbots "Whoa, these guys are good!" Manic said "Fortunately you, we came along. I am Ifyoucan, chieftain of the Azcan Tribe. These are my bodyguards: Amir and Jamal" Ifyoucan said "Hoho, like this guy needs bodyguards" Manic said "Come! We must go quickly, before Robotnik sends another patrol" Ifyoucan said "Uh, Ifyoucan? Think you could give us a hand with our van?" Sonic asks "Certainly!" Ifyoucan said "I gotta hand it to you guys, this ride's pretty smooth and the fuel mileage is rocking!" Manic said as the bodygards set up a blanket to act as a boats' flag.

*At the Nomads Camps*

"What brings you here to this dangerous desert?" Ifyoucan asks "We've heard that your tribe has no love for Robotnik" Brody said while wiping sweat off his forehead with his towel " 'Tis true. Robotnik and the swatbots are our sworn enemies!" Ifyoucan said "Well we're freedom fighters, and the Resistance needs your help against Robotnik" Sonic said "If you are truly an enemy of Robotnik, you must still prove yourself worthy to be an ally. One of you must join our tribe" Ifyoucan said "Where do we sign up?" Brody and Sonic asks.

*Later at night*

"Something abput Ifyoucan gives me the creeps. I don't trust anybody who hides his face all the time" Manic said as they where following Ifyoucan "Get your eyes checked, bro! Did you see how he blasted those bots?" Sonic asks as they arrived to a big crater "Sonic the hedgehog and Brody the wolf wish to join our tribe" Ifyoucan said "But first, they mist pass the initiation test!" He said suprising the heroes "Test? Wait a Mobius minute there!" Sonic said "Nobody said anything about a test!" Brody said "To join the tribe, you must defeat.... the Kar-lek!" Ifyoucan said as a creature was in the crater "Why did I know you were gonna say that? Brody will you be okay?" Sonic asks "Yeah, I still have some stamina left" Brody said "Then we'll be back in a Sonic second!" Sonic said as the two jump in the pit and after some running around they spin around it forcing it down knocking it out and the two get out as the crowd cheers "Hey, no biggie" Brody and Sonic said fist bumping.

*Back at the Camp*

"Sonic the Hedgehog and Brody the Wolf, you are now a member of the Azcan Tribe!" Ifyoucan said as the Nomads warbling and cheer "Thanks! We are honored" Sonic and Brody said "Three cheers for Sonic and Brody!" The nomads said "Congratulations, Sonic and Brody!" They said "I think thid calls for a serious jam!" Sonic said as the four summon their instruments and start to play a song.

*After a song*

"I still don't trust Ifyoucan. First he hides his face, and then he didn't dance when we played!" Manic said as the four where in their tent "You worry too much, bro" Sonic said "Give it a rest Manic! If I don't get a good night's sleep, my eyes will get puffy" Sonia said falling asleep "You sleep if you wany to but I've got a chief to check out" Manic said and walks out the tent and opens the flap of Ifyoucan's tent "Okay Ifyoucan, let's see who you really are" he said and sees Ifyoucan's robogic eye making him gasp "Roboticized! Oh no, I've gotta warn-" Manic said when Jamal grabs him and covers his mouth and Manic shouts muffled.

*The next day*

"Manic?" Sonic asks "Manic?" Brody asks "Manic?" Sonia asks as Sonic and brody get back from running around "Any sign of him?" She asks "Not eve a drumstick and we've been all over camp!" Sonic said "Hmmm Manic said he was gonna check out Ifyoucan. Maybe we'd better talk to the chief" Brody said and the three enter his tent "Have you seen Manic? We've looked all over camp for him" Sonic said "I have not seen your brother. Perhaps he went for a walk and became lost" Ifyoucan said "We'd better go look for him" Brody said "No. My people will search. The desert is much too dangerous for those who do not know its ways" Ifyoucan said wqlking behind a curtain "I've got a bad feeling about this" Brody said "Yeah, Manic wouldn't just wander off- he hates the desert!" Sonic said "You're right! It's not like him. Maybe Manic was right. There may be more to Ifyoucan than appears!" Sonia said "Yeah, I think we'd better find out what he's hiding under that hood" Brody said "You did WHAT?!" Ifyoucan asked catching the trio's attention "We had no choice. We had to leave him in the desert" Jamal said "Without food or water?! Manic is the brother and friend of two members of the tribe! Or did you forget that?" Ifyoucan asks "But he saw you Ifyoucan! If he told the tribe your secret...." Jamal said "You would be an outcast!" Amir said "Time to face music, Ifyoucan! Where's Manic?" Sonic asks and Ifyoucan looked at them and Sonia gasps "Roboticized! I don't get it! You're supposed to be Buttnik's enemy" Brody said and Ifyoucan explained the roboticizing process malfunctioned allowing him to keep his free will and only Jamal anf Amir know his secret and how he's scared that if his secret is known the tribe wouldn't accept them and apologizes "Hey 'sorry' doesn't chill the sauce, know what I mean? We've gotta get Manic back!" Sonic said "Amir and Jamal left him in the Sun Snare Drum" Ifyoucan said "Sun Snare Drum? At least he'll feel right at home" Brody said "No! It's the hottest part of the desert. He will not survive there for long! I will show you the way. We must go quickly!" Ifyoucan said and he, Sonic and Brody went to save Manic.

At the same time Sleet and Dingo found the Nomads camp by following the Van's tracks.

Sonic, Brody and Ifyoucan found a passed out Manic and Sonic gives Manic the water and he drinks it recovering "Mmmmm, that's the wettest water I've ever tasted! Thanks bro!" Sonic said "Come I'll carry you" Brody said "Yeah, I could use a lift dude" Manic said and saw Ifyoucan "Hey, don't you work for Robotnik?" Manic asks "He's on our side" Sonic said "Always has been. He let us out here to save your sorry butt. Now unless you'd rather be sandblasted, let's haul!" Brody said picking Manic up and Sonic gets Ifyoucan on his back and the two run back to the camp.

When they got back they got in a tent to find Sonia and the Nomads tied up as Sleet and Dingo revealed themselves but Sonic and Brody spindash through a wood log making the tent fall on all them allowing Sonic and Brody to free Sonia and the Nomads getting out and the heroes with the help of the Nomads they all destroy the swatbots and scare off Sleet and Dingo causing them to run away.

"Thanks Jamal! That oughta do it" Manic said "Sonic and Brody, we want to thank you and your siblings for your help. After yesterday, Robotnik should not trouble us for quite a while" Ifyoucan said "Hey, we couldn't have done it without ya" Sonic said "And I apologize for the way your brother was treated" Ifyoucan said "Hey chill, Ifyoucan, no harm done" Manic said "No, I take responsibility. I no longer deserve to be chief. I have deceived you" Ifyoucan revealing himself and the Nomads gasp "By the tribe's lae, I will go now to wandet the desert as an outcast. You two must elect a new chief. Sonic and Brody, ad newest members of the trive, you two must cast the first votes" Ifyoucan said "We choose..... Ifyoucan!" Sonic and Brody said and everyone else agrees "But, my robot parts... They are..." Ifyoucan said "Hey, do you lead with your body or your mind?" Sonic adks "You're a great leader no matter what the package looks like!" Brody said "YES!" Ifyoucan said and everyone cheers as this chapter comes to an end.
