Third Person's POV

"Though the land was under a dark cloud" Aleena narrated "Our children still found time to kill. But Manic had a lesson to learn.... about teamwork" Markus narrated.

Manic was riding his hoverboard above the clouds "Is this cool or what?" Manic asks as he rides his board down to the lake "Ya-hooo!" He said and lands on water "Yeah!" He said as a swatbots spots him amd gives him chase shooting at him and Manic gasps "Hang in, bro!" Manic said as Brody runs over "Yippee ki yi yay!" Brody said wrangling the swatbot's leg with a rope and pulls it backwards "Think you're gonna take down the wolf, huh swat-butt? I don't think so!" Brody said running pulling the swatbot away "That's my dude!" Manic said as Brody runs in circles making the swatbot spin and throws it at a group of rocks making it explode "My main wolf! Yeah!" Manic said as he crashes to the ground "Whoa!" He said.

"You'd better bring a lotta help next time pal" Brody said and he hears Sleet's voice from a radio "huh?" Brody asks and walks to the swatbots parts and grabs the radio "swatbot 27, this is Sleet. Queen Aleena and King Markus have been spotted in Quadrant 10. Check it out and report back. Do you understand?" Sleet asks "Affirmative. Check Quadrant 10. Over and out" Brody said in a monotone voice and breaks the radio "Brody! A little help here!" Manic calls put and Brody turns around and gasps running to Manic's location and only finds the hoverboard "Yo Manic! Where are ya, man?" Brody calls out "Over here!" Manic said stuck in the cliff, Brody gasps and tries to pull him out the cliff by his legs "Argh, argh!" Brody grunted and Manic breaks out "Whoaaa!" Brody and Manic said "Oof!" Brody said landing on the ground and Manic was about to land on him "Yaaaahhhh!" Brody yelled "Look out below!" Manic said and lands on Brody "Wanna tell me what you were doin' out here alone?!" Brody asks as Manic spits some dirt "Surfing some awesome thermals" Manic said and tries to free his board "Yeah and what happened to the buddy system?! Next time we go together and I'll show you how to shoot thermals" Brody said and helped Manic pull the board out "You surf thermals?" Manic asks as Brody gets on the board and he watches Brody go around "All right!" Manic said and Brody gets next to him and off the board "Man, you're at Brody the Surfwolf. I can surf thermals standing on my head" Brody said throwing the board at Manic "Hop on! I heards some news about Queen Aleena and my dad. We gotta find Sonia and Sonic!" Brody said and starts running giving Manic a boost on the hoverboard as they head back.

"Man, that stinks!" Manic said driving the van "You can always smell when Robotnik's been somewhere can't you?" Sonic asks "These wells have been burning for months! Why would Mother and King Markus wanna come to a place like this? Eww!" Sonia said "I don't know but-" Brody said "Manic look out!" Sonia said as they hit a pothole "What is it with you and potholes bro? You never get enough of them!" Sonic said "I don't know how many more my teeth can take" Sonia said "Or my tail" Brody said "Come on, you guys, how many have I hit?" Manic asks "Thirty-eight!" Sonic, Sonia and Brody said "Wrong, forty-two. So button it up with the backseat driving, all right?" Manic asks "How much farther?" Sonia asks "Twelve miles" Manic said "Aaaaarrghh!" Sonic, Brody and Sonia said as Manic droves over another pothole.

*Later*

"Huh?" Sonia asks as she sees a car heading their way as they stopped driving "We've got company guys" she said "Huh?" Manic asks "Show yourself, whoever you are!" Sonia said as a guy gets out the car "You Sonic and Brody?" The guy asks "Who wants to know?!" Sonic and Brody ask walking up to him "Name's Rudy. The party's at Mother's" Rudy said whispering the last part "And the musicians are down the hall" Sonic and brody whispered back "I'm Sonic and He's Brody. This are Sonia and Manic" Sonic said "We heard Queen Aleena and King Markus were headed here!" Sonia said "Nah, I aint seen them and that's a good thing" Rudy said "Why?" Sonia asks confused "Something strange is going on here" Rudy said.

"Last night I was coming home when I saw a swarm of bright orange bugs flying away from my village. Looked something like bottle flies" Rudy explained. "Suddenly one of me mates, a Freedom Fighters, same as me... turned on me" Rudy said "A bunch of my frienda wanted to take me to Robotnik. I think it's got something to do with those bugs" he said "This stinks like Robotnik!" Brody said "We could do wihh a bit of help here wolf and hedgehogs" Rudy said "You got it, Rudy!" Sonic said "First we gotta get one of those bottle flies "We need to go to your village" Brody said "Brody, why don't you and Sonic check it out? And when you get one of those bugs you can see how it works" Sonia said "No prob! We'll be back in a flash" Brody said "I'm with ya, dudes!" Manic said wanting to tag along "Sorry guy, no times! This calls for a speed warp" Sonic said as the two run off. Manic grabbed his board and told Sonia that if Sonic and Brody can go solo so can he and he left.

*Later*

While Sonic and Brody arrived to the village and saw no one and they capture one of the bugs in a jar they headed back, at the same time Manoc was flying in the sky with his board when one of the bugs stung him on the nose and he became dazed and said he has to report to Robotnik so he headed to Robotropolis.

Soon Sonic and Brody returned to Sonia and Rudy "It's us!" Brody and Sonic said "My village. Did you two see-?" Rudy asks "Sorry bud. Iy's burned. Gone! No sign of Freedom Fighters!" Sonic said "Noooo!" Rudy said "We'll find them Rudy" Sonia said comforting him "We've got to stop them. It's those flies" Rudy said "Oh yeah almost forgot" Brody said taking out the jar with the bug as Sonic looks around "Where's Manic?" Sonic asks and Sonia explained where he went "They are robotnik's flies alright" Brody said holding the bug "Brody, how do the fly-bots make you loyal to Robotnik?" Sonia asks as Brody took off half of the robot out and saw a liquid inside "It's cause of this serum. They inject you using their stingers and then you are loyal to Robotnik" Brody explained.

Meanwhile Manic arrived to Robotnik under the trance, so Robotnik decided to take advantage of this and in order to prolong the effects of the serum he put an upgraded fly-bot in Manic's fanny pack and sent him back to the heroes.

"Yaa-hooo!" Manic said arriving on his board "Bout time man! Whetr ya been?" Sonic asks "Er, I'm not exactly sure" Manic said "I know you want to help, bud, but disappearing ain't cool" Brody said "Sorry" Manic said "Er, what's the plan?" He asks "Check out the heavy hitters" Sonic said pointing at the new additions ontop of the van "Whoa, awesome! Where'd you get those?" Manic asks "Remember that stealth bot that was on your tail?" Brody asks "We scavenged the parts, and Rudy with Brody patched the lasers back together" Sonia said "Brody and Sonic are gonna lure the fly-bots into a trap then we'll blast them out of the sky" Rudy saix "How we doing ut?" Manic asks "By the oil wells! At dawn" Brody said.

*Later at Night*

Manic was stung by the bot in his fanny pack and stepped out the van and contacted Robotnik saying where they were and then went back to sleep. Sonic and Brody woke up later hearing noise and saw Robotnik, Sleet and Dingo on trucks going after them so they woke up the others and Brody drives them away.

Sonia saw Manic going to the bathroom as Brody was heading to a cave and Sonia spotted Manic contacting Robotnik and stopped him.

"Manic? Talking with Robotnik?" Sonic asks as Brody drives inside the cave and walks to the others "He's obviously been stung by one of those disgusting fly-bot things" Sonia said and Manic woke up confused and they explained the situation and Sonia open Manic's fanny pack flying around and Sonic summons his guitar shooting the bot destroying it  and Sonia took an antenna from the fly-bot "This one's radio controlled!"  Sonia said and Brody kneels down infront of Manic grabbing his fanny pack and sees it's been pierced a lot "It's been stinging Manic since he got back!" Brody said "Oh man, I feel like roadkill" Manic said "Robuttnik's gonna pay for this, bro!" Sonic said "Oh, we'll get him all right! But firsy we need a plan" Sonia said "Plan? Huh. Plan's my middle name!" Brody said "Yeah, sure" Sonia said "No listen! Rudy and I have been talking about it" Brody said "First, we use the van as bait, so the fly-bots follows it to this place I know" Brody said "Strike zone, here we go" Rudy said as Sonia, Sonic, Brody and Manic summon their instruments "A one, two, three, and...!" Sonia said and they start playing a song.

*After the song*

Brody yawns laying on Manic's board as he was in the place when lightning bolt strikes him in the butt setting his on fore "Argh! Ooh!" Brody said and blows the fire away "Whoo! Ooh!" Brody said and gasps seeing the fly-bots arrive "Well, it's about time you got here! Let's see... this should be a good spot for a fly roast" Brody said flying off and lightning obliterates the entire swarm of fly-bots "YESSS! Bye-bye bug buds!" Brody said standing proud when lighting strikes him on the tail and butt again "Ow!" He yelled and started to fly away and gets strucked again "Oww!" He said and was struck again "Ah, oooh; ah!" He said groaning.

"I think we got them all" Rudy said I hope Brody took care of the rest" Sonia said "Ow!" Brody said arriving rubbing his backside and whistles with his eyes closed "Bridy! Are you okay?" Sonic asks worried as Brody gets down "Course I'm okay!" Brody said as smoke leaves beginning from his tailand Sonia gasps as Brody walks to Sonic and grabs his hand "I just wanna be alone with Sonic" Brody said dragging him inside the van with him "Huh?" Manic asks "OWWW!" Brody yelled "there there" Sonic is heard comforting him.

*At Rudy's village*

"Everything's gone" Rudy said "Rudy, look!" Sonia said as they see some survivors come out and a girl rushes to Rudy "Sheila, you're alive!" Rudy said "Rudy!" Sheila said "Rudy!" Sheila said "Oh, I'm so glad you're safe" Rudy said "Oh, it's great to see ya, mate! Swatbots burned the villagenbut we got away" Sheila saod "Where are the others?" Rudy asks and Sheila takes him to the other survivors.

"Well, we got rid of the fly-bots, but we missed Mother and Rody's father again!" Sonia said "No biggie. We'll catch up to them" Brody said "But in the meantime...." Sonic said and looks at Manic "Now bro, about you going solo..." Sonic said "I know, dumb idea. From now on, it's all for one and one for...Robotnik. must contact Robotnik" Manic said pretending to be intrance "Oh my gosh!" Sonia said grabbing Manic's left arm and Sonic and Brody grab Manic's right arm "Gotcha!" Manic said and the four start laughing together as this chapter comes to an end.
