Third Person's POV

"We like to think that the past doesn't have any effect on us" Aleena narrated "But ignorance of the past can be as dangerous as a ticking bomb" Markus narrated.

"This is a bad idea. Someone's sure to recognize me! I know everyone here!" Sonia said as the four were in white suits in a rich people party acting as waiters "Take a chill pill, sis. The message we got said Buttnik's gonna make a big announcement that could mean trouble for the Resistance" Sonic said "We gotta be here! Besides, none of these rich guys'll pay any attention to a waiter" Brody said "Just remember if anyting bad happens, I told you both" Sonia said "Don't forget we're here to serve snacks, not cruise the crowd for wallets and wristwatches" Sonic said to Manic "Oh, whatever you say, bro. I live to serve" Manic said.

"Doctor Robotnik usually asks my opinion on occasions like this. He's a brilliant man, but socially, he's a très nouveau. A society event like this needs careful planning. I always tell him. He wouldn't want the wrong class of people to get in" Bartkeby said as Sonia walks away with the platter if hirs d'oeuvres "Where is that waiter?!" Bartleby asks.

"Attention please!" Robotnik said "I'm sure you've been wondering why I ordered.... invited you here tonight. You've all heard the legend of the lost city of Mobupinchu. Well, it's no legebd!" Robotnik said asna pair of swatbots pull off some sheets to reveal two artifacts "These are the first artifacts I recovered fromMobupinchu. Priceless treasures from Mobius past, and they can be yours if the price is right. Oh, so beautiful! So rare! It makes you just want to possess it! What is the opening bid for this priceless piece of Mobian history?" Robotnik asks "Five hundred Mobiums" a mobian said "One thousand Mobiums" Bartleby said "What do you think this is?! A FLEA MARKET?! The bidding starts at one hundred thousand Mobiums!" Robotnik said and the crowd gasps "Don't be such tightwads! All the money will go to build more swatbots. For everyone's peace of mind and security here in Robotropolis. Anyone who doesn't bid will be suspected of being in the resistance!" Robotnik said.

"Mobupinchu's the most sacred place in Mobian legend! If Buttnik's found it, we can't just let him loot it to raise more money for swatbots!" Sonia said "What does Buttnikbcare about legends? He's already a legend in his own moind" Brody said "We gotta stop him!" Manic said "Sold! To the lucky bidder for a mere one million Mobiums" Robotnik said as Bartleby steps up to claim his prize "You got this one cheap. Bid higher on the next one" Robotnik said and Bartleby gulps   "Stand back! We wouldn't want anybody to get hurt" Sonic said as he and Brody grab plates with foods and they spin around tossing the plates at the swatbots in great speed destroying them amd the guests panic and flee.

"It's that wolf and those hedgehogs! I need more swatbots! More swatbots!" Robotnik said running away and Sonia took the artifact from Bartleby "And next time remember to thank your waiter!" Sonia said "Destory that wolf and those hedgehogs! Oh, butbdon't hurt the artifacts. Theyre worth money" Robotnik said to swatbots and they started shooting "Hey! Who invited them to the party?" Sonic asks as a shot nearly hits him "Whoa!" He said "Huh?" Manic asks and picks up the orb artifact"The resistance needs you more than Buttnik does" Manic said hiding it in his bag "Time to jam and scram!" Brody said the quartet open a metal container with parachutes "Guess we'll have to skip dessert" Sonic said as the four run and jump of the building opening their parachutes.

*Later at Robotnik's base*

"Those meddlesome hedgehogs and wolf have stolen the artifacts! I want them back! Catch those hedgehogs and wolf and teach them a lesson once akd for all!" Robotnik said "Consider them caught and taught, your evilness" Sleet said "Er, how do we catch 'em way out here?" Dingo asks "Have you been breaking rocks with your head? I'll go to Mobupinchu and oversee the digging myself! You two nitwits just recover the artifacts and bring them to me!" Robotnik said "And what about the wolf and the hedgehogs?" Sleet asks "Roboticize them. What else?" Robotnik asks.

Meanwhile with the heroes "We've got to stop Buttnik from digging up more stuff and selling it!" Sonia said "But how do we stop him if we don't know where Mobupinchu is?" Sonic asks "There might be a clue on this. I've got a professor at Mobius University who might be able to help" Sonia said "Er, why don't you go without me? Besides, I got other stuff to do" Manic said "Okay, later dude" Brody said as he, Sonic and Sonia walked off and Manic took out the artifact he stole "Better fortune for us than for Buttnik" Manic said walking off.

*At Mobius University*

"Hm... curious. Very curious. Hm, very curious indeed" the professor said "Can you tell us anything about the location of Mobupinchu, professor, we have to find it and stop Robotnik!" Sonia said "Mobupinchu, eh? Well, you know, that's what made you such a good student, Sonia. You always asked the tough questions. So inquisitive, hm!" The professor said "And I just thought she was a nosy busybody!" Sonic said "The Gamma Spectrul Analyzer should give us the answers. Yes, hm, trace elements. I could tell us something about where it was buried" the professor said activating the scanner "Oh, I say, this is curious. Very cutious indeed!" The professor said "What is it Professor?" Sonia asks "That artifact is not from Mobupinchu. It's only about five hundred years old. It's from the last Mobian War, or at least, er, the last one 'til Robotnik came along" the professor said "Wouldn't Buttnik's own experts tell him it's not from Mobupinchu?" Sonic asks "If Robotnik asks you a question, would you give him an answer he doesn't want to hear?" The professor asks "He's got a point there" Brody said "This is just an old Mobian shell case. If it were in better condition, it could explode!" The professor said and the three heroes gasp.

*Meanwhile with Manic*

"It's from Buttnik's private collection" Manic said "Hmmm....I wonder if there's something inside" a mobian named Vince as he took the artifact and pressed the buton turning it on starting a counter.

After he sell it, Manic took off the disguise and started counting the money "One thousand nine hundred, two thousand! Wow, there's a lot the resistance could do with this. Wait 'til Sonic and Brody get an eyeful of all these bucks!" Manic said arriving at the university "Yo bro, what took you so long? I thought you were gonna meet us at the Prof's lab" Sonic said as he, Sonia and Brody walked to him "Oh, I had a little job to do for the resistance. What did Sonia's old teacher say?" Manic asks "The joke's on Buttnik. Those artifacts of his aren't worth a Mobian dime" Brody said "They aren't even from Mobupinchu. They're bombs from an old Mobian Army ammunition dump" Sonia said and Sonoc chuckles "If we're lucky, Buttnik'll find one in good condition and it'll blow up in his face" Sonic said "Oops" Manic said "What do you mean 'oops'?" Brody asks "Well, while you guys were busy with the swatbots, I took that ball thing Buttnik had" Manic said "You mean the orb? Where is it?" Brody asks "I, well, like, wanted to raise some money for the resistance, so I, er sold it to a guy I know" Manic said "I hope he likes to travel, 'cos he's gonna be scattered all over Mobius if that bomb goes off" Sonic said and Sonia gasps "Don't blame Manic. He didn't know. We've got to get the orb back and get rid of it before it explodes and someone innocent gets hurt!" Sonia said "Let's go!" Manic said as the four run off.

*Later*

"Deal's off Vince! I want the orb back" Manic said taking out the money "Here's your two thousand back" he said "Hey, you're too late! I already sold it. I got an art lover who wants to see anything that comes my way" Vince said and Manic gasps "So who's the guy who made the buy?" Brody asks "Er, maybe you wanna cut in on my action? Maybe next time you wouldn't need old Vince to sell it. I gotta look out for my future. No way" Vince said "If that orb explodes, whoever bought it won't have a future" Sonic said "Eh, it's his problem. No refunds" Vince said "Now wait a Mobius minute!" Brody said as he and Sonic spin around Vince sending him crashing into a wall "all right, I'll talk! Just don't spin me again! I....I sold the orb to some pompous rich guy, er, Boodlehead or something" Vince said and Sonia gasps "You mean... Bartleby?" Sonia asks "We've gotta get that orb back!" Sonic said as the four run off "You can't do that to me! I'll show you, I'll get even! And I know just the person who'd pay to learn where it is" Vince said.

*Later at Robotnik's base*

"And, er, this kinda information doesn't come cheap. I gotta look out for number one, you know what I mean?" Vince asks "Of course. Name your price. I'll make sure you get everything that's coming to you" Sleet said "Okay, Bartleby's got the orb. And Sonic, Brody, Sonia and Manic are on their way over to his mansion to get it back" Vince said "You have done well, my criminal friend" Sleet said "Eh, it's a pleasure to serve Robotnik and, er, make say, er a thousand Mobiums?" Vince asks "You should have asked to be paid... before you told me who had the orb. Grab him!" Sleet said as swatbots grab Vince "Hey! Hey, wait! Hey, what are you doing?! We had a deal! Look, I told you everything I know! You can't do this! SLEET! Noooo...!" Vince said "I said you'd get what's coming to you" Sleet said roboticizing Vince "Hm. With all the money we saved Robotnik on snitches, he should give us a raise" Sleet said "You mean.... we're getting paid?" Dingo asks "Er, I've been meaning to tell you about that, but not right now. We've got some hedgehogs and wolf to round up" Sleet said.

*At Bartleby's Mansion*

"You must get a real bang out of your art collection" Sonic said "Huh?" Bartleby asks "You'll hand over the orb if you know what's good for ya!" Brody said "Y....you can't threaten me!" Bartleby said "It's not a treat Bartleby, it's a warning. Your art treasure's a bomb. It could explode at any moment!" Sonia said "Oh, please. Don't you think someone with my refinement would be able to tell the difference between a genuine artifact and some silly little bomb? You just wanti it so you can sell it to raise money for the resistance" Bartleby said "That might have been the idea... once" Sonic said "When are you going to grow up, Sonia, and stop fighting Rob9tnik? Your brothers and friends are bad influences! You used to be such a nice hedgehog" Bartleby said "Oh, blow it out your ears, Bartleby!" Sonia said and they gasps when Sleet and Dingo appear with swatbots. Sleet and Dingo captured Bartleby and run off as Sonic and Brody take out all the swatbots "Where's Bartleby?" Brody asks and they gasps "We've got to get the orb back before Bartleby's hurt. He may not be my fiancé anymore, but I don't want him blown up!" Sonia said as the four rush off.

Brody drives the van till they are at the bottom of a mountain and they get out as Sonic and Brody grab Sonia and Manic and run up to the top and they got into a fight with the swatbots as Sleet morphed Dingo to look like the bomb and to end up getting them mixed up but when both bombs get sent flying Sleet morphs Dingo back to normal and a swatbot catches the real bomb and Sonic destroys the swatbot and the bomb lands near Bartleby so sonic and Brody run to it and throw it away as it blows up creating  a hole with an entrance to a cave as the bad guys and Bartleby run away and the heroes went inside the cave.

"Whoa!" Sonic and Brody said "Wow!" Sonia said as they all saw the real Mobupinchu "Man we found it! The real Mobunpinchu!" Manic said aa the four walk inside one of the buildings to find it full of treasures, gold and gems, Manic picked a pink rock "Drop the rock! Think what Mom and Brody's dad would say" Sonic said "Ma and King Markus? What do they got to do with it?" Manic asks "Plenty look at this" Sonic said pointing to a symbol on the ground "They were here!" Sonic said "And this treasure belongs to all the people of mobius. It's our job to keep it safe" Sonia said "Yeah, it'll be a long time before Buttnik comes back lookin' for Mobupinchu" Brody said "I wish they could've seen us send the old buttfacr packing" Manic said "Ive got a feeling they know about it. They know...." Sonic said as indeed Markus and Aleena where outside the cave looking at the entrance as this chapter comes to an end.
