Sonic kept running and running and Tails stayed next to him they both stopped and Sonic walked through the forest Tails walked beside Sonic and thunder and lightning boomed in the sky

"Ah!" Tails yelled and hugged Sonic "I'm afraid of lightning!" Tails shook in fear and Sonic sighed

"Astraphobia hu?" Sonic replied surprisingly calm

Tails nodded and another crack boomed in the skies "Ah!!" Tails whimpered and hugged Sonic tighter

Sonic shrugged and grabbed and held Tails and ran fast running with his feet in a figure eight Tails held on closing his eyes Tails shivered in fear and yelped every time a loud boom of thunder struck

"You really are afraid of thunder and lightning aren't you?" Sonic asked Tails worried but calm

"Y-Yeah... C-Can you g-go any f-faster?" Tails replied with fear

"Going fast is my specialty" Sonic replied and moved back a bit and made a sonicboom a light blue aura surrounded Sonic and Tails

"Wow! I've never seen someone go so fast!... You made a sonicboom!" Tails replied in amazement

"Well I am faster then the speed of sound" Sonic said proudly as he ran out of the storm he stopped and put Tails down

"I can only catch up to you when you run and when you run with your legs in a figure eight but I don't think I'd catch up to you when you make a sonicboom" Tails said and Sonic and Tails walked beside each other

"Hehe... Well No one has ever been able to catch up to me like you" Sonic replied following beside Tails "Now tell me more about yourself"

"Well... You already know my name is Miles Prower but call me Tails" Tails said to Sonic hesitantly

"Ok Tails" Sonic said happily and sat down and pulled Tails down beside him

"I'm 9 years old and I'm also an orphan" Tails said sadly grabbing his own two tails

"Oh really..." Sonic replied feeling bad for Tails he rubbed Tails shoulder and Tails smiled

"Yeah... I've always been picked on because of my two tails and my ability to fly... Because of that I've never had any friends..." Tails sighed

"I'm sorry"

"It's fine... But besides that I'm also very good at building machines and people who were nice to me said I looked cute with my twin tails" Tails replied

"I don't have a home... I live in the wild" Tails replied sadly

"No I'm fine... I'll just stay here" Tails sighed

"Ok..." Sonic was about to run then he sighed "Come one Tails you can stay with me..."

Sonic nodded "Yeah... Besides I can't leave you out here at night, Robotnik could turn you into one of his robots"

"Ro-Botnik?" Tails said questioningly

"Yeah he's a evil "genius" who's out to destroy me, and take over the world, He turns helpless animals into emotionless robots"

"Oh... Well in that case I guess I'll stay with you" Tails said

Sonic smiled and grabbed Tails "Hold on tight this is gonna be a very fast run"

Tails smiled and held on and Sonic ran making a sonicboom
