In a burst of blue and light blue blur, Sonic and Gwen speed through the forest, glowing brightly.

"Sonic, Gwen, you finally found your family." Tom said.

Knuckles gives a small smile with his eyebrow raised, and Tails gives a determined smile.

In the city, Tails is flying towards the building, Knuckles jumping off the clock tower with his fists ablaze, Gwen backflipping from the tower of the top building with the boost of her ruby power from her necklace, and Sonic running through the streets in speed.

"Try to keep up!" Sonic said before speeding up high in the air from the bridge.

"I know it hasn't always been easy,"

Tom removes the green moss to reveal the drawn picture of Sonic, Gwen, and Longclaw sitting on top of the Loop-de-Loop.

"But you didn't change who you are in here." Tom finished, pointing at Sonic's chest.

"Yeah. In my lungs." Sonic said.

This made Gwen giggle while Tom chuckled.

"No, silly! Your heart!" she corrected.

"Oh."

Back in the forest, Sonic and Gwen slide up the log and jump into the air above the forest, having fun together.

Meanwhile, that night in the GUN Headquarters, an alarm goes off, and the heart monitor starts moving. The agents look in front of them to reveal a giant red capsule where the black hedgehog was held inside.

"There's been a high-level security breach." Commander Walters informed.

The black hedgehog named Shadow opens his eyes as they glow orange before narrowing them, and he punches through the glass. The agents immediately stand in front of the now broken capsule with their guns drawn.

"And we need Team Sonic's immediate assistance."

The helicopter takes flight in the night where the moon glows behind it. Tails, who's wearing a helmet and a mic attached to it, is piloting the helicopter with Sonic and Gwen standing behind him as the passengers along with Knuckles.

The GUN agents point their guns as Shadow walks out of the capsule with smoke on his trail.

"Project Shadow is far beyond anything we've ever encountered." Commander Walters continued grimly.

Shadow glares at the agents before disappearing, using Chaos Control.

In the lab, Sonic is looking at the stuff and tools that are scattered on the table with a flashlight.

"Shadow's story began a lot like yours, Sonic, Gwen."

In a green capsule, Shadow places his hand against the glass where a hand of a human girl named Maria is as they smile at each other fondly.

"But where you two found family and friends..."

With a flick of the twin tails, Tails narrows his eyes with determination while Knuckles punches the ground with his spiked fists with a determined glare. Sonic and Gwen are with them as the four got into their position before Maddie moved the flag to get them started as they speed past her and Tom.

Shadow stares at the reflection of himself through the cracked glass, looking sorrowful.

"Shadow found only pain and loss."

Shadow stares down at the now passed away Maria in sorrow with the man in a lab coat cradling her, just as sad as he is. The GUN agents approached them with their guns raised.

The helicopter heads towards the city.

"Alright, we got a rogue alien on the loose. How do we find him?" Sonic asked.

Suddenly, they heard a loud explosion and looked down to see a big black and red smoke coming from the streets.

"Start with the giant fireball?" Tails guessed.

"Definitely." Gwen nodded before frowning. "What are you doing, Shadow?" she mumbled quietly.

"I love it!" Sonic grinned excitedly. "Let's start with the giant fireball."

Sonic, Gwen, Tails, and Knuckles jumped off the helicopter and landed dramatically on the street where the wreckage takes place.

Through the fire, a pair of air shoes walks up the metal plate and stands before them is Shadow the Hedgehog. Gwen's eyes widen to see him again up close and in person. She had to admit, he's pretty good-looking. Shadow glares down at the three boys while he softens a bit to see Gwen.

"He's much more impressive than the hedgehog I fought previously." Knuckles commented.

This made Sonic roll his eyes and look at him in disbelief and offended.

"Dude, I'm standing right here." he reminded.

"And you also fought me, and I beat you." Gwen mentioned, making Knuckles wince.

"Right..."

"You're colorful bunch?" Shadow spoke in a deep voice.

"We don't want to fight you." Sonic said.

"He's right. We just wanted to talk. I know what you lost, Shadow. And I'm sorry." Gwen said, stepping up.

"Wait, you know him?" Sonic questioned in shock, looking at her.

"That guy??" Knuckles questioned, feeling suddenly jealous.

"Yeah... We've meet in the dream." Gwen said, staring at Shadow.

Knuckles leans down to Sonic and whispers.

"Actually, Sonic, I would like to fight."

He then starts to charge at Shadow.

"Knuckles, no!!" Sonic warned.

"Knuckles, wait! Don't!!" Gwen shouted with worry.

With a yell, Knuckles jumps towards Shadow with his fist up. In slow motion, Shadow disappears and reappears in front of Knuckles. Knuckles was shocked at his sudden teleportation. Shadow grabbed his fist and twisted it. Knuckles yells in pain.

"Knuckles!!" Gwen shouted.

Shadow then kicks him up high in the air. Sonic readies his running stance as his body glows blue along with his eyes.

"My turn."

Suddenly, Shadow appears behind Sonic, Gwen, and Tails. He kicks Tails to the side.

"Ow!!" Tails yelped.

"Tails!" Gwen shouted.

Shadow then disappears and reappears again as he's now in front of Sonic and grabbed him by the neck.

"Shadow, stop!!"

Shadow ignored her and made his shoes burst out from behind as he and Sonic started flying.

"Can we just talk about this?!" Sonic yelled.

Not listening to him, Shadow appears above Sonic and pushes him down, holding his neck. The two crashed onto the street, creating dust, and some pebbles went flying. Gwen holds her ground, covering her face from the dust before looking up with worry.

A giant UFO started flying out from the water below the bridge. Shadow skates across the water in speed, eyes glowing orange.

"He's too powerful." Sonic said.

Shadow teleports and kicks the agent towards the wall. He then teleports to another agent and kicks him in the face before disappearing as the agent falls to the ground.

Tom had his face pressed on the red floor as he was down.

"Sonic!! Gwen!!" he yelled.

Gwen and Shadow fought on the street, and Shadow teleported behind her. Before she could act, he karate chopped her neck, knocking her out. Shadow caught her before she could fall and carried her over his shoulder.

"You're coming with me."

Sonic saw what he was doing and immediately tried to run after his sister.

"Sis!! No!!"

Knuckles noticed it as well and got angry.

"No, no!!" he charged towards Shadow and Gwen.

Shadow gives them a glare.

"She's under my protection now."

He then disappeared with Gwen before Sonic and Knuckles could get them.

"He took her..." Sonic said in horror.

With his fist ready and glowing, Shadow punched the air that caused a black hole to be made as it started sucking everything in. Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are tied up to the post close to the black hole. Gwen stares at the black hole in horror.

"Shadow, don't do this! Stop this!" she pleaded.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but we need you-know-who." Sonic said grimly.

At night at the bridge where Dr. Stone stands before Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles with a motorcycle behind him. Two giant claws crawled out from the water and went on the bridge to reveal a giant egg crab robot.

"This is a bad idea!" Tails warned, not liking where this is going.

"When is that ever stop me? Shadow has my sister." Sonic glared.

"And he's going to pay for taking her from me." Knuckles growled.

Eggman's laughter can be heard from the chair in the secret hideout lair and all the junk foods scattered. The chair turned, and Eggman smacked his big belly as he revealed to have grown a hair from his head, and his mustache has grown longer and all fat. He's wearing a white tank top with a red jacket. Dr. Stone was unfazed with his feature and greeted him.

"Doctor."

Eggman screamed to see him and Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, pulling down his shirt to cover his fat belly.

"We've visitors." Dr. Stone continued.

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles were disgusted at the sight of now fat Eggman.

"This is sad, Robotnik. Even for you." Knuckles commented.

"We need your help." Sonic said, getting to the point.

With a thoughtful look, Eggman holds up his finger.

"On one condition..."

Knowing what he wants, Sonic hands him his glowing blue quill. Eggman puts his tongue towards the quill only to get electrocuted as his head moves rapidly for a second. Eggman becomes excited and pulls Dr. Stone over towards him.

"Let's... do this!!"

Dr. Stone starts cutting off Eggman's hair with a hair shaver before Eggman puts on his goggles on top of his now bald head.

"If I can't rule the world, I might as well save it!"

With a grin along with his mustache now trimmed, he headed towards the changing room to change his clothes. Though he comes out and holds out his suit towards Dr. Stone.

"I need room."

"But sir, I don't have a proper material." Dr. Stone pointed out.

Eggman ripped off the front of Dr. Stone's suit jacket and held out the ripped fabric.

"Found some."

Sonic and Eggman walked out of the ring. Shadow speeds around in the circle with a glowing orange trail behind him before jumping off. All the city went blackout.

"When we're done, there won't be anything left."

Shadow teleported next to running Sonic, riding a motorcycle. Gwen, who was roller skating beside her brother, was shocked that he also rid a motorcycle.

"Hey, no cheat code!!" Sonic scolded.

Knuckles and Tails followed after Sonic, Gwen, and Shadow in speed.

Tails flies out of the ship. Eggman peeked his head out from the wall.

In a restaurant where Sonic, Gwen, Tails, and Knuckles are sitting with Commander Walters with three giant Chao Chaos on stage, rockets are being fired towards them. They immediately got out of the way while saving Commander Walters as it exploded.

"What did you do?" Sonic glared at Shadow.

Shadow's eyes flickers as they glow orange, his body fur all soaked.

"What I had to."

"You think this is what she would want?" Gwen questioned.

Shadow skid his motorcycle in Akira style before he was up high in the night sky, standing on his motorcycle glowing orange before jumping off. Sonic and Gwen glare up at Shadow as they glow blue and red before jumping up after him. They soon clashed as blue, light blue, and orange were mixed, revealing a big title.

In the lab, an old man in a lab coat approached Eggman.

"Welcome home, my boy." he greeted.

Eggman looked over to see Gerald Robotnik as he put his glasses in his lab coat pocket.

"It's impossible." Eggman said in disbelief.

Gerald held up his fists.

"Is it?"

"It couldn't be." Eggman said.

"Couldn't it?" Gerald asked.

"I'm..."

"Are you?"

"Papa..." Eggman whispered in recognition and happiness.

"In the saggy flesh." Gerald smiled.

The two Robotniks give each other a hug.
