Just then, Shadow, Gerald, and Eggman notice a golden blur heading towards them.

"What is that?" Gerald asked.

"Is GUN launching missiles at us?" Shadow guessed.

"Impossible. It's moving too fast." Gerald pointed out.

Eggman holds the quill, now glowing in gold.

"It's him."

The blur zooms fast and collides into Shadow from the spaceship, crashing through the window. The Robotniks hang on for their dear lives as things start to get sucked out of the ship. The airlock activates, shutting down the suction and dropping the two to the floor. Out in space, the golden blur holding Shadow is Super Sonic, and he's super angry.

"You hurt my family! This ends now!"

"Now you know my anger. The pain I've felt for 50 years! And you've made the same choice I did." Shadow stated.

"I'm nothing like you!" Super Sonic said angrily.

"We'll see."

Shadow grabs Super Sonic and turns him around. They both zoom towards Earth before landing near some Greek ruins. As Super Sonic gets up, he looks around for Shadow.

"Show yourself, coward!"

Shadow teleports behind Super Sonic and punches him away, making him lose the Chaos Emeralds while turning back to normal. The two hedgehogs see the emeralds and race toward them. Upon reach, a golden beam bursts forth. Sonic is now back to Super Sonic, but he sees that Shadow has now entered his super form. Super Shadow. Super Sonic glares and throws his fist at Super Shadow, who holds it back with his hand.

"You were right about one thing." he said, moving Super Sonic's struggling fist before holding out his own fust. "This ends now."

Super Shadow starts beating Super Sonic down, slamming him and spinning him before throwing him through some mountains, spewing lava everywhere. Super Shadow tries to punch him, but Super Sonic grabs his fist and flies with him in his grasp. The two hedgehogs fight, with Sonic dragging him across the ground before punching him around the world. The Robotniks watch this from the spaceship.

"What's happening? Where are they?" Gerald asked.

"Up there?" Eggman pointed up.

"Where?" Gerald asked again.

"Higher."

As Gerald looks up, Eggman takes a punch at his gramps' windpipe, making him gasp and drop to the floor.

"Left yourself open."

Eggman starts running toward the computer.

"Ivo! What are you doing?!" Gerald questioned hoarsely.

"Thwarting your evil plan!" Eggman answered.

Gerald summons a jetpack and flies toward Eggman, colliding into him. The two Robotniks tussle on the floor and pull at each other's mustaches, yelling in pain.

"OW-OW-OW-OW-OW-OW-OW!"

"Not the mustache!" Eggman groaned out.

"Agreed." Gerald said.

"Let go on three. One, two, three!"

They both let go and shake their mustaches before Gerald creates a giant fist out of nanobots.

"Ooooh... A nanofist." Eggman said mockingly. "I haven't seen that since I hate-watched Green Lantern in 2011!"

"I was saving it for Comic-Con. But now there won't be a Comic-Con!"

Gerald slaps Eggman hard in the face.

Meanwhile, Super Sonic and Super Shadow continue to punch and kick until the latter send the former flying into the ruins.

"Why are you alone? Where are your friends? They tried to stop you, didn't they?" Super Shadow questioned. "Especially Gwen. But you came anyway. Your anger was too much. What kind of hero abandons his friends to pursue revenge? Abandons his family?"

"Don't you dare talk about my family! And leave my sister out of this!" Super Sonic warned angrily.

"And here I thought you cared for them. Especially the one... what's his name? Tom?"

Super Sonic yells out in rage and sends a powerful punch at Super Shadow, destroying the ruins in the process. Super Shadow is sent flying to the moon as he lands roughly, where he reverts back to normal. Super Sonic arrives and Shadow quickly jumps back. The two glare at each other before charging once again with their fist raised. At the same time, the ring opened up and zoomed in between them. Suddenly, it was Gwen as she blocked both of their fists with her own hands, knowing it's going to hurt. Her eyes were closed with her teeth gritted.

Super Sonic and Shadow's eyes widened in shock to see her and that she blocked their attack without a problem.

"What... are you two doing?!" Gwen screamed out, opening her eyes to show tears.

This caused the boys to freeze to see her crying. Gwen pulled her hands away from their fists painfully, but she held it in as she stood her ground.

"Look closely at the person in front of you! Is he the enemy?! Or a friend?!" she cried out.

Hearing that left Super Sonic speechless as he stared at his crying sister. He noticed she's still wearing a sibling bracelet and looked down at his own that's still intact. He then looked over at Shadow from Gwen's shoulder, who's just as speechless as he is. Shadow noticed him and walked around Gwen towards Super Sonic. Still crying, Gwen looked up and watched.

"Go ahead. Finish it!" Shadow said, but Super Sonic hesitated. "What are you waiting for? Do it!" Shadow pointed at his own chest. "I'm right here!"

Seeing this motion, Super Sonic remembers Tom's words back at his old home.

Realizing what he's become, he looks down at his hands.

"Sis is right... This is not who I am." Super Sonic said, ashamed and walked away.

This left Shadow confused while Gwen is relieved, wiping away her tears.

"What are you doing? You won. Take your revenge." Shadow said.

Sonic sits down, reverting back to normal.

"There are no winners with revenge."

"And like I said, revenge will lead to more pain." Gwen added, sitting down next to her brother.

Shadow sees Sonic's and Gwen's sad expressions on their faces before looking up to the stars.

"Wow. Look at all those stars. They're like diamonds." Maria's voice echoed in Shadow's mind.

"The last time I sat beneath stars like this... I was with her. I felt this pain for so long, it's all I know." Shadow said sadly, sitting next to Gwen.

"When we lost Longclaw, we felt the same way." Sonic said sadly.

"Did your pain eventually go away?" Shadow questioned.

"No. But in time, we learned that there was something even more powerful than pain. The love we felt for each other. That's what you need to hold onto, Shadow. Maria might be gone, but your love for her will always remain." Gwen said as she moved closer to Shadow.

"And your love for me will always be a part of you." Gwen spoke when Shadow blushed a bit and Sonic gave them some space. "And I'm sorry for trying to kill you. I almost lost control and myself." Gwen shred a tear when Shadow dried it up by stroking her cheek.

"No, Gwen. I'm the one who should be sorry. I was so angry about what they did to Maria, that I almost hurt you and put you in danger.." Shadow said.

"You know, you remind me of my boyfriend Knuckles. He did the same thing to me, not listening to me, kidnapped me, and almost got me killed." Gwen counted her fingers for the things Knuckles did to her as Shadow chuckled. "But the one thing that you and Knuckles have one common about me is caring and a heart to love is right there." She pointed at Shadow's chest to where his heart is.

Shadow and Gwen stare into their eyes for a moment.

"You definitely remind me of Maria. So kind and so caring..." Shadow said, falling hard for Gwen.

"And you remind me of myself and Sonic from what we went through."

Then, Shadow and Gwen share a hug. Sonic watches with a smile. After hugging, they watch the sun rise up on Earth.

"The light shines... even though the star is gone," Shadow quoted what he used to say to Maria and became ashamed. "This whole mess is my fault. I've been so blinded by rage, I thought I had no choice."

Gwen gets up and extends her hand to Shadow.

"You always have a choice."

Shadow grabs it and stands up.

"Making the right one is never easy. One more thing we learned is that when you screw something up, you can't fix it on your own." Sonic said, walking next to his sister.

Shadow smiles. The three hedgehogs grab hands and enter their Super forms. Super Sonic adjusted his gloves, Super Gwen cracked her neck and summoned her big emerald sword from Sonic Movie 2, and Super Shadow cracked his knuckles.

"Gotta go fast!" Super Sonic grinned.

"Don't tell me you've got a catchphrase." Super Shadow smirked.

"That's right, new hedgehog! And everyone loves it!" Super Sonic said cockily.

"Okay, boys, let's do this!" Super Gwen smirked.

The three hedgehogs get into their position and then zoom off towards the spaceship.

Back in the spaceship, Gerald is spanking Eggman with the nanofist.

"I! Will! Not! Try! To stop! My! Elders! From! Destroying! The! World!"

Eggman gets out a power drill and stabs Gerald's foot. He yells in pain, letting go of Eggman.

"Playtime is over!"

Gerald Robotnik summons robotic claws and a stinger tail, making him like a scorpion. His tail destroys the control panel.

"There's no going back now!"

He inches menacingly towards Eggman with a growl.

"Set up the defense!" Eggman said to his computer.

The computer sets up a white picket fence, complete with a mailbox.

"Damn you, autocorrect!" Eggman said in dismay.

Gerald charges towards Eggman and grabs his right arm, which turns robotic.

"Mantis!" Eggman said to his computer.

The computer sets up mantis claws. Gerald tries to attack with his stinger, but Eggman flies away with mantis wings.

"I'm right here, Arach-nerd."

The two block each other's hits, but Eggman manages to cut off a piece of Gerald's mustache with a swipe of his claw, as Gerald glances at it and back to Eggman, who laughs.

"That's what I call Mantis-scaping."

"That's elder abuse!" Gerald said angrily.

Gerald trips Eggman over the edge of the platform, but he manages to hang on to the edge, holding on.

"Alert! Alert!" the computer warned him as the alarm went off.

Gerald notices Super Sonic, Super Gwen, and Super Shadow are on a screen across him.

"Shadow. I see you've chosen betrayal. And you were once so useful to me."

He presses a button on his wrist computer as metal soldiers, the cyclops were deployed, pursuing after the three.

"Ready to recycle some tin cans?" Super Sonic asked.

"Just try and keep up." Super Shadow smirked, reflexing his shoulder.

"Then let's blast these bots. 3, 2, 1, go!!" Super Gwen added before zooming off to a headstart ahead of the boys.

"Hey!! Cheating!!" Super Sonic whined, following after her.

The three proceed to plow through the metal soldiers. They then do a pose across each other in slow motion.

Back inside the spaceship, Eggman hangs on for his dear life as Gerald stands above.

"Please, grampsy, don't do this!" Eggman pleaded.

"Sorry, kiddo. Bring Your Grandkid to Work Day is over."

Gerald taps some buttons on his glove and the airlock opens, trying to suck Eggman out of the station.

"Any last words?"

"Just... one thing... that I never thought I'd say."

"What is it?" Gerald asked before mockingly said those words. ""I love you?""

"No. It was something even better, but I'm not gonna say it if that's the way you're gonna be." Eggman retorted.

"Okay. Bye." Gerald said nonchalantly.

He stomps on Eggman's hand, sending him falling.

"Grandchildren. All the fun and none of the responsibility." Gerald laughed evilly and sighed, turning his back.

However, Eggman flies back in the base, being carried by Tails and Knuckles while holding Super Sonic's glowing quill.

"Who said life was pointless?" Eggman said.

"Huh?" Gerald Robotnik questioned, shocked to hear he's alive.

"Oh, right. You did." Eggman continued and sneered.

Eggman uses the quill to zap Gerald in the butt. The mad scientist leaps up in pain and into the energy field, where he disintegrates with a fart sound.

"Whoo-hoo!" Tails cheered.

"Victory!" Knuckles cheered.

"Say what you want about my granddad, he made one hell of a bug zapper."

Eggman blows the quill and throws it away as he and the others get up.

"We gotta stop that laser." Tails said, running over to the control panels.

"I knew there was something I was forgetting." Eggman said before running after them.

Outside the spaceship, Super Shadow sees the cannon powering up and ready to fire after slicing up the metal soldier in half. Gwen slices off the metal soldiers into bits and looks to where Shadow is looking and becomes concerned.

"We're out of time. The cannon is about to fire!" Super Shadow warned.

"Sonic, where are you?" Super Gwen asked, looking around.

Super Sonic is seen leading away the metal soldiers.

"Oh, you know. Just making friends. They're all yours!"

Super Gwen and Super Shadow gives each other a smile and both of them unleashes Chaos Spears to destroy the robots before flying off with Super Sonic towards the Eclipse Cannon.

"Follow me!" Super Sonic said.

The weapon fires as the three approach it.

"Now this might hurt a little!" Super Sonic warned them.

The laser strikes, but they hold the laser back. On Earth, Maddie watches from the hospital as Tom rests in bed. Back in space...

"So this was your plan?" Super Shadow asked, grunting to keep a hold of the laser.

"Would someone mind shutting down the giant death ray?" Super Gwen asked, grunting.

Back inside the spaceship...

"We can't stop the cannon from firing." Tails said with worry.

"But we can steer it away from the Earth. Come in around the starboard." Eggman suggested.

"Aye, aye, doc."

Tails salutes and pulls the lever up, and Eggman tries to turn the weapon away from Earth.

"Here we go. It's a little tight. Definitely not power-steering." Eggman said.

The Super hedgehogs try to hold the laser back.

"Keep turning, boys!" Super Gwen said.

Back inside the spaceship...

"Jump in anytime here, guys!" Eggman grunted out.

Tails and Knuckles help Dr. Robotnik turn it as hard as they can as Super Sonic struggles to hold it back any longer.

"Can't... hold... much.... longer!"

Sonic slowly reverts to normal and starts falling. Luckily, the laser fires away from Earth. Super Gwen was shocked to see Sonic falling

"Sonic!" she called out.

Robotnik, Tails, and Knuckles cheer in delight.

"Yes! I did it!" Eggman cheered, making Knuckles look at him unamused.

The victory was cut short as the laser cuts through the moon. The others wince and recoil at this.

"OHHH!!!" they shouted in unison.

"Look what you did!" Eggman blamed it on Tails and Knuckles, who shrugged.

"Hey! Look down there!" Tails pointed at something ahead.

"Sonic!" Knuckles yelled in worry.

Sonic is seen falling towards Earth.

"Oh, Knuckles, please tell me you have a..." Tails said, scared.

"Last one." Knuckles said, holding up one ring.

"Let's make it count." Tails grabbed it with determination.

Tails and Knuckles head to the back of the ship.

"Ready for a little base of ball?" Tails asked, recalling their first baseball game.

Tails pulls down the lever and the hatch prepares to open. He then gets on Knuckles' hand, pretending to be a ball.

"Deep breath. One... two... three!"

The hatch opens, and with all his strength, Knuckles throws Tails out. The fox leaped off to rescue Sonic. Meanwhile, in the ship, Super Shadow and Super Gwen teleports to Eggman, scaring him.

"Whoa!! Really?!" Eggman yelped in shock.

"What's happening?" Super Gwen questioned.

"The reactor core is overloading. It's only a matter of time before it blows." Eggman explained.

"So what does that mean for Earth?" Super Shadow questioned.

"A radioactive atmosphere. Rain that kills the crops and melts your flesh. Other than that..." Eggman answered grimly.

"Is this the end?" Super Gwen asked, feeling scared.

"We're not done here." Super Shadow said, pushing Eggman a bit by his shoulder. "You try to stabilize the reactor. Buy me some time. I'll push the station away from Earth before it explodes. This is our last chance to do the right thing." he continued, putting his hand on Super Gwen's shoulder to comfort her.

Eggman smiles and salutes to them.

"Vayan con Dios, apestosos erizos. (Go with God, stinking hedgehogs.)"

"Thanks, I guess." Super Gwen thanked him, but was confused for what he was just saying in Spanish. "It is an honor to fight with you and for you." she said, bowing to him.

This made Eggman feel proud of himself. Super Gwen was about to go help Super Shadow to push the Eclipse Cannon when he stopped her.

"No, Gwen. I need you to go back with your family and protect them with your life." Super Shadow said. "Take care of yourself and your Knuckles."

Super Gwen was shocked at this and shook her head.

"No, Shadow! I want to help you, and I'm not leaving you again not after we first met in a dream and spent time together either in dreams or in life. So please, don't leave me again... I don't want to lose you. I care for you, Shadow the Hedgehog!" Super Gwen said, sobbing.

Super Shadow gave her a reassuring smile, telling her that everything is going to be okay. Seeing that he's not backing down, Gwen understood and hugged Shadow one last time. He blushed as he hugged her in return. Then Super Shadow take off one of his inhibitor rings and hand it to her.

"Here. So that you will always remember me. Thank you for opening up my eyes... and my heart."

Super Shadow then kissed her forehead, making Super Gwen blush and tear up more. Eggman was grossed out at this scene as he stuck his tongue out. Reluctantly releasing her, Super Shadow gave her one last smile before he teleported away. Holding back her tears, Super Gwen flew away out of the spaceship.

"Core integrity failing." Computer informed with a warning.

Tails manages to catch up to Sonic and grabs him.

"I got you, Sonic!"

He gets out the portal ring and prepares to throw it, only to lose consciousness. Meanwhile, Shadow removes his last inhibitor ring and, using his strength, pushes the Eclipse Cannon away.

As Super Gwen flies away to escape the Eclipse Cannon, she sees Knuckles running to the exit. Smiling, she grabs him and flies out of ARK, and falls out of the sky as she and Knuckles fall down to Earth. They hold hands, staring into each other's eyes.

"Gwen!" Knuckles said happily, tearing up with joy.

"I never leave my family! No matter how far we are, and I'll never forget my loved ones including you, babe." Super Gwen said, giving him a warm smile while tearing up.

Knuckles and Super Gwen shared a kiss to feel their never-ending love just like in the Knuckles show from their dance. After they share their love and pull away, Knuckles almost forgets to tell her about Sonic and Tails.

"Gwen, we need to save Sonic and Tails from falling out down to Earth!" he said, afraid for their lives.

"Well, let's save them together, babe," Super Gwen said with determination.

Knuckles and Super Gwen nod to each other and together, they forward to Earth to save Sonic and Tails.

Eggman gets on a platform, which rises up as the place falls apart.

"Initializing reactor core stabilizers." Computer said with another warning.

He proceeds to build up a shield to protect himself from the energy blasts before he brings up a floating orb camera, initializing a live feed.

"This is Doctor Ivo Robotnik, dedicating my final livestream to one very special henchman: Agent Stone."

Back in London, Agent Stone sees the live and becomes distraught.

"No, no, doctor, wait!"

"If I can't rule the world, I might as well save it! And the one and only person who ever cared about me..." Eggman continued.

"Don't do this, doctor! Please!" Agent Stone pleaded.

"Stone... You were more than a sycophant to me. You were... a syco-friend. I'll miss your lattes with steamed Austrian goat milk... I love the way you make 'em!"

Agent Stone, teary-eyed, smiles to finally feel acknowledged.

On Shadow, as he keeps pushing, he remembers fond memories of his friendship with Maria Robotnik and his first love with Gwen the Hedgehog. He's willing to make things right. High up into the sky, the ring falls out of Tails's hand and flies off... only to be grabbed by Super Gwen along with Knuckles, rocketing in with his Flames of Disaster fists. She quickly tosses the ring before Knuckles grabs her and Tails and Sonic, and dives in. They landed back to Earth, back to safety as they landed into the cornfield, losing consciousness with Gwen reverting back to normal.

Back to Eggman as he finished his last speech.

"So... I guess there's only one thing left to say!" Eggman does his robot-act. "Bzzt, bzzt, bzzt! It's been a real drag!" He then whispered for the last part. "Thanks for nothing."

BANG!

The Eclipse Cannon explodes, seemingly killing both Eggman and Shadow, who closes his eyes.

Back on Earth, Tails coughs and wakes up, while the others also regain consciousness.

"Sonic, Gwen look!" Tails said, spotting something in the sky.

They look and saw the explosion up in the sky.

"Shadow and Robotnik... They sacrificed themselves to save everyone." Tails said sadly.

"No... Shadow..." Gwen said sadly, kneeling down and crying over the loss of her second love.

She looks at the inhibitor ring that Shadow gave her and puts it on her wrist to cherish her memory of him.

"You always have a choice," Sonic said, walking over his sister.

Gwen gets up and hugs her brother for a need of comfort as Sonic hugs back.

"Sis, I'm really sorry for running off like that. I shouldn't have left you behind, and I shouldn't have talk to you like that earlier. I'm so sorry... I've been a horrible brother to you." Sonic apologized with shame.

"It's okay, Sonic. We all make mistakes sometimes, bro, especially for you and me." Gwen accepted the apology.

"Brother and sister till the end?" Sonic asked, holding up a bracelet.

Gwen smiled and held up her own bracelet, placing the pieces of the broken heart together.

"Brother and sister till the end."

Sonic smiled and turned to Tails and Knuckles.

"And as for you guys, the truth is... you're the best teammates the hedgehogs could ever ask for. And the best friends. Can you ever forgive me?" Sonic asked, ashamed of his actions.

Knuckles ponders for a moment before raising his fist up for a fist bump.

"Team Sonic?"

Sonic smiles and hugs Knuckles instead, much to his surprise. Tails and Gwen smiles at this scene and joins the hug.

"How about just "Team?" Sonic suggested.

"Yeah. It's much better." Gwen agreed.

As the four embrace each other, Agent Stone is in London still as he stares at the board where Eggman last recorded it.

"Goodbye, doctor." he said tearfully and walked away.
