Back in Green Hills, Montana, Tom and Maddie are doing their own hobbies in home. Tom is done making a model of the Taj Mahal.

"And done! Masterpiece! Look at that." he said with satisfication, sitting down on the couch.

Maddie comes in with with a tray of baked goods.

"Yay! It's really been great having time to ourselves."

"Right. Absolutely. I just feel so relaxed, you know. Clear-headed." Tom agreed.

"Mm-hmm. Look at all these new interests we found." Maddie said, gesturing to Ozzy, who's wearing a crochet sweater.

"I know. So many hobbies." Tom said.

"So many." Maddie agreed.

"After the adventure and action of the last few years, I could get used to this." he said, relaxing on the couch.

"Same." she nodded, cuddling with him.

Just then, the place shakes and Team Sonic arrives via ring portal.

"Tom, Maddie, we need your help on a super--"

Sonic notices he's facing the wrong way and informs his friend.

"Knuckles, do you mind?"

"Oh, excuse me." Knuckles realized and turned to have Sonic face the humans.

"Tom, Maddie, we need your help on a super dangerous top-secret mission, and Gwen is kidnapped again!!" Sonic exclaimed.

Tom and Maddie immediately stand up after looking at each other for a second.

"Thank God." Tom said in relief.

"Let's go." Maddie agreed.

"Yeah. We're in." Tom declared.

"Really? You're in? Just like that?" Tails asked, shocked at their quick answer.

"Yeah." Tom nodded.

"Yes. It was getting so boring without you guys here, no offense." Maddie said.

"So... boring." Tom agreed. "No, none taken. I mean, whatever crazy plan you're cooking up, the answer's yes."

"Yeah." Maddie nodded.

"Great. But first things first," Sonic said before pointing at something. "what is that?!"

Sonic pointed at the puppet mini-version of Tom that's on the ground next to the couch.

"Oh, this is Little Tom. Isn't he great?" Tom answered, holding up the puppet.

Sonic Team stares at Tom and his puppet with concern. Maddie winces and reminds Tom, agreeing with her children.

"I told you to get rid of that. It's very creepy."

"I told him to get rid of you." Little Tom said.

"Okay, that's... crossing the line." Tom scolded the puppet.

"You are in so much trouble." Maddie said with a warning.

The team clears the table, and Tails show them a holographic plan of infiltrating GUN HQ. Knuckles wearing a hat that Tom and Maddie knit and eat bread.

"Okay. This is it. The belly of the beast. GUN Headquarters in London."

"Tom, we're finally gonna get to see London together." Maddie said excitedly

"Hey, I told you we can get there someday, baby." Tom said as he and Maddie held on together.

"Okay, so here's the plan." Sonic explained the plan as he lay back on the couch and feet up.

To Sonic's rundown of the plan as he runs across the waters of London.

"I run in super-fast, fly over that water, no problem, and right when I get to the..."

When he reaches the energy shield, he gets disintegrated, leaving only his shoes.

"Ah! What just happened?" Sonic jumped, scared.

"Congratulations, you just got incinerated by their energy shield." Tails said as he removes the roof of the building to show the server room.

"We'll need to shut it down by planting a USB drive in the server room that will give me full control over it. That's what we need you two for."

"Badass wise, that's what we are," Tom said.

"Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Maddie added as they fist-bumped.

Back to the plan where Sonic is in a hall full of lasers as Tails continues.

"Once we disable the shields, we'll face the laser hall."

Sonic tries to dodge the lasers while running, only to get incinerated, leaving only his shoes.

"These high-density bad boys will cut you into tiny pieces."

The shoes then get destroyed by the lasers.

"And cut those pieces into even tinier pieces."

"Once again.. Ah! Can't we just get Tom Cruise to do this?" Sonic said as he was scared again for a second.

Zoom past the lasers to show a big vault when Tails continue talking about the plan.

"Nope, because not even he can break into the vault."

The vault opens to show it's empty inside.

"Why is it empty in there?" Sonic questioned.

"Because we have no idea what's on the other side of that door." Tails answered.

Zooms out of the vault and out of GUN HQ.

"To prevent the hall from ever being accessed by a ring, all images and schematics are wiped from GUN's database."

"But what about my sister? How are we gonna rescue Gwen from Shadow?" Sonic questioned again as he gets very worried for his sister.

"I'm not sure. She could be anywhere. But I know she'll break out and meet us there since she knows of their plans." Tails said.

"Let's hope you're right..." Knuckles said, feeling lonely without Gwen.

"So, for the last leg of this heist..." Tails started.

Little Tom appears and puts on sunglasses.

"We're going in blind."

Maddie glares at Tom, and he puts the puppet away.

"Sorry." Tom said with shame.

"Okay, I'm just gonna say it. It sounds like this plan will work a heck of a lot better if Sonic used the Master Emerald to go golden god mode to get the key." Maddie said, grabbing a holgram Sonic and placing him into a Master Emerald turning him into Super Sonic.

"No way, Maddie." Sonic denied. "The Master Emerald is too powerful to ever use again. We made a promise to each other to keep it hidden."

"In a location only Knuckles knows." Tails added.

Knuckles stands up and glares.

"As guardian of the Master Emerald, anyone who tries to take it away for any reason will become a sworn enemy."

"Okay, okay, sheesh. No need to get all growly on me, buddy." Maddie said, slightly scared of Knuckles' intimidation.

"You guys are always telling us to make good choices. Well, this is the right choice." Sonic reminded.

"Okay. I guess we're going to..." Tom nodded.

In London, where the baddies arrive in an alley far outside GUN HQ. Robotnik elevated up from the sewer and stood in the middle, doing a dramatic pose with Shadow, Gwen, Gerald and Stone standing on the opposite side each.

"London, baby!" Robotnik announced happily.

"GUN Headquarters is right there. Let me go in, get the key, and destroy anyone in my way. I want revenge!" Shadow said angrily, clenching his fist.

"Patience, Shadow. Just let us handle this. And I promise you'll have revenge on a scale you couldn't possibly imagine." Gerald Robotnik said.

"Come on, grandaddy-o. We've got dirt to do." Eggman said before turning to Agent Stone. "Suits."

"Right here, sir." Stone said, opening up a briefcase to show him two red spandex suits for him and Gerald.

"Stone, babysit the black hedgehog and keep an eye on the girl hedgehog, keep the crab on a low boil. It's time for more family bonding." Eggman ordered, taking the briefcase from him before he and Gerald head towards the headquarters.

Agent Stone goes back down into the sewer, facing Shadow and Gwen.

"Come on, Shadow, Gwen. Got fresh avocados in the crab. We'll make guac." he said before jumping down.

"Revenge guac." Shadow said angrily, making Gwen raise her eyebrow at him.

On top of the ferris wheel, Sonic lies there waiting impatiently before he calls put through the comm.

"Guys, are you ready for me yet? I've been waiting all day!"

Tails flies up towards the top of the building and lands before taking out his computer.

"Sonic, we literally just started." he scolded back to the comm before calling out. "Tom, Maddie, are you in the position and ready?"

Tom looks ahead of the GUN headquarters through the binoculars before moving it down.

"We were born ready." he answered.

"Let's do this." Maddie said.

"Knuckles, how about you?" Tails asked.

Knuckles is standing at the Big Ben.

"I have taken my perch atop the giant clock. Now where is this glass I'm supposed to break?"

"Actually, Knucks, your job is to break glass in case of emergency." Sonic corrected him through the com.

"Understood. I will shatter this glass like the jaw of a vile foe." Knuckles nodded.

"In case of emergency." Sonic repeated.

"I'll pulverize it like the scum of a loathsome rival!" Knuckles declared.

"Just to be clear, the emergency is the important part." Sonic reminded him.

"The glass will beg for mercy under the shadow of my mighty fists!" Knuckles continued, powering up his fists.

"Guys, remember we're a team. Now, let's focus." Tom reminded them, wanting them to stop arguing.

"Please." Maddie added.

"You know what? Let's move on." Sonic agreed.

"Alright. Everyone knows what to do." Tails said, hearing that they're all focused and ready. "Tom and Maddie, you guys plant the USB drive. I'll disable the traps, Sonic will snag the launch key and Knuckles, you stand by to..."

"Break glass in case of emergency." Knuckles finished, punching his fist.

"See? He gets it." Sonic grinned, hearing that he finally learned.

"And we're all set." Maddie said.

"Hologram time. You go first." Tom said.

Maddie activates her holo-disguise, going as Rachel.

"Tom! It's me as Rachel! Can you believe it? We're both in London together!" Fake Rachel said.

"Have you met your sister? Try again. Unless you're not up for this mission. Yeah, maybe you're gonna be back in Green Hills, baking sourdough and...." Tom started and was pulled by the collar by fake Rachel.

"Thomas Michael Wachowski, you brought aliens to my wedding, punched out my husband, and buried me in an avalanche! Your day of reckoning is at hand!"

"That's perfect. Okay, now for her better half." Tom nodded, scared as fake Rachel released him.

Tom then activates his holographic Randall disguise.

"Hey! My name is Randall, and I am too much to handle." Fake Randall said and flexed his muscles. "Welcome to the GUN show. Baby, would you describe me as jacked, juiced, or shredded?"

"I would describe your head as swollen. Let's get to work." Fake Rachel suggested.

They head inside the headquarters undetected and approach the counter.

"Agent Randall Handel. I'm here to have lunch with my lovely wife." Fake Randall said.

"I'm sorry, agent, this facility is locked." GUN Security Guard denied.

"One minute." Fake Randall said as they turned around talked to Tails on com. "Tails, we have a problem here."

"They must have tightened security after Shadow's escape." Tails said through the com.

"I got this. You must be new here. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rachel. Rachel is gonna get you fired. Do you know what GUN stands for?" Fake Rachel said.

"Of course. Guardian Units...." GUN Security Guard started, but Fake Rachel imitated the buzzer to cut him off.

"Gettin' Ultra Nasty. Do you want me to get ultra nasty? Nasty-nasty?!"

"No." he immediately shook his head.

"Okay then." Fake Rachel nodded. "Then go ahead and take those sad fingers and start tippity-type-type-type! Mm-hmm. That's right. Go on."

GUN Security Guard did what he was told and let them in.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, luv."

"Mm-hm. That's what I thought!" Fake Rachel said in satisfaction, snapping at his face.

They make their way through the entry gate.

"My God, I love being Rachel!" Fake Rachel said to Fake Randall.

Once they arrive at the door to the server room, they turn off their disguises and Maddie switches to Rockwell.

"Did it work?" she asked.

"Yeah." Tom said lovingly at the face of Rockwell.

A jealous Maddie, while disguised as Rockwell, punches him in the gut.

"Ow!"

"Director Rockwell, seeking access to the server room." Fake Rockwell said on com.

"Just one moment, ma'am." GUN Worker answered on com.

Tom spots something and panics.

"Oh no. Oh, no, no, no, no. It's her. For real, her!"

They see the real Rockwell walking with her troops while chatting.

"What do we do?" Tom asked.

"Quick, change faces!" Maddie said, changing back to her normal face.

"Okay."

Tom tries to change his face, though he gains cartoony eyes.

"Did it work?"

Then, he switches to have his mouth big.

"What am I?"

He switches to have big ears and then a bigger head.

"What's going on?"

Then, he gets a smaller head.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

His head switches to a donut with sunglasses before switching to Little Tom.

"What am I doing wrong?"

When he switches to Ozzie, Maddie smacks him in the throat to have his face be Randall's.

"Ow!" Fake Randall yelped in pain and quickly saluted as Rockwell and her troops walk by. "Aye, aye, captain."

Rockwell looked at him funny before walking past him. Once they're gone, Tom changed back to his normal face as Maddie looked at her husband in disbelief.

"Aye, aye, captain?" Who are you, Popeye?"

"I panicked!" Tom exclaimed.

"Geez! Get it together!" Maddie said in frustration.

They then enter the server room.

"Okay, Tails, what are we looking for?" Tom asked to the com.

"The security server is in the 7th row, 23rd cabinet." Tails informed them.

Back to Sonic in the London Eye, who is looking impatient.

"Are you guys finished yet? This is taking forever!"

He slams his fist on the glass, getting the attention of some people inside one of the cars.

"Uh oh."

Back to Knuckles, who is also a little impatient.

"Has the time come to break the glass, or at least break something?"

Back to the server room.

"Aright, hang tight, guys, Maddie's about to insert the drive." Tom assured them.

Maddie gets out the hard drive.

"Ready? Three... two... one..."

She then inserts the Tails harddrive.

"Go!"

Nothing happens. Tails taps on a few keys.

"It didn't work."

"Did you put it in the right way?" Sonic asked.

"Try punching it!" Knuckles suggested with a grin.

"Do not try punching it." Tails rejected that suggestion.

Tom gets an idea.

"Oh! Take it out and blow on it."

"Yes!" Maddie agreed.

He takes it out and blows on it with Maddie.

"Oh, come on, Tom. There's absolutely no scientific evidence to support..." Tails said in dismay.

Tom inserts it back in and the servers power on.

"Never mind. It worked." Tails said in realization that it actually worked.

"A little trick from the 90s." Tom said proudly.

"You mean, best decade ever, right?" Maddie smiled as they high-five.

"I'm shutting down the outside sensors now." Tails informed them.

"Yes!" Maddie cheered but then noticed something. "Uh, hold on, is there supposed to be another USB drive here?"

"One with a giant mustache on it?" Tom added.

They see another USB drive inserted in a server. It has the Eggman logo on it.

"Oh, no. I've got two heat signatures enroute to the vault, which can only mean..." Tails started with worry.

Elsewhere, in GUN HQ, two soldiers walk by a portrait, not knowing it's Ivo, as he steps out.

"The Robotniks have entered the chat." Eggman said before realizing someone is missing and looked around. "Wait. Poppyseed? Grandgeezer? Donde esta?"

"I'm right here." Gerald answered in a portrait and stepped out. "If you weren't family, I could've gut you like a pheasant."

This made Eggman looked at him a bit scared and suspicious.

"I mean... try to keep up." Gerald corrected himself and headed off.

Back to the Crab in the sewer, Shadow, Stone and Gwen were watching a Spanish show of "La Ultima Pasion".

"And now back to... La Ultima Pasion."

Gabriella hands the twin brothers crossbows to fight for her love.

"La Ultima Pasion can only belong... to one."

"No. It can only belong to one!" Juan said, taking the crossbow

"Gabriella should kill them both. She is not a prize to be won." Shadow said, crossing his arms.

"Uh, you do realize she literally gave Juan a small crossbow and Pablo a big crossbow. Clearly, she's the mastermind and should be left alone for playing their hearts instead of choosing both." Gwen pointed out, while secretly removing her handcuffs after finally getting them unlocked.

"Kill this, murder that. You need to lighten up, Shadow. We're about to rule the world." Stone said as he cooked something

"When we're done, there won't be anything left to rule." Shadow said grimly.

"That is dark... even for you. What are you and the professor up to?" Agent Stone questioned suspiciously.

Gwen knows exactly what they're up to as she quickly removed the handcuffs before pulling out a keycard. Long story short, Gwen managed to take it from Gerald without him or anyone noticing while Eggman was making his dramatic entrance. She quickly hid it in her pocket before looking at Shadow and Stone. Suddenly, the screen hacks and shows a face of Tails, much to her relief to see him again.

"Cheerio! I guess someone forgot to flush. And Gwen, run and take cover."

He flushes, causing a tidal wave to stream down the sewers, washing away the Crab. Before the water hit the Crab, Shadow saw Gwen escaping as she gave him a salute and left the Crab, which he teleported after her, leaving screaming Stone behind.

Gwen finds herself on the road of London as she looks around before seeing the headquarters. She heard something behind and turned to see Shadow speeding after her. She quickly activates her rockets from her roller skates and speeds away. She took a left corner and jumped off a wall, reaching up and pulling herself onto a fire escape staircase.

Shadow followed by doing the same, jumping up onto the fire escape with his air shoes, but Gwen was already three flights up and nearing the rooftop of the building. Shadow propels himself up with his air shoes. He began to fly up and slowly gain ground on Gwen, but all of a sudden, Gwen threw a smashed avocado she took from Agent Stone at his face. Shadow went blind and lost his focus and he fell and hit the ground hard.

Gwen snickered at the site before continuing along the roof. Shadow wiped off the avocado from his face before getting up and launching himself high into the air where he then landed on the edge of the roof. On the far side, Gwen jumped over to the next building with ease. Her ears perked up and she looked back to see Shadow leap and land on the building she was currently running across.

"Oh, come on!!" she groaned in frustration.

Gwen then jumped off the building and grabbed onto a pipe, using it to slide down to the ground safely. Shadow glared and straight up jumped off the building and landed directly on the ground, creating a huge crater beneath him. He then continued to chase down Gwen who was heading below an underpass of a highway.

Powering up, Shadow grabbed an empty car and threw it toward the highway, creating an explosion. Gwen heard it and looked up to see large pieces of concrete debris begin to fall and nearly crush her, but she jumped out of the way before rocket roller skating off as she headed down into the subway station. Shadow followed after her, but Gwen quickly boarded the train as the doors were closing. It took off just as Shadow arrived at the station. Gwen sighed in relief as she leaned against the window, seeing Shadow searching around. However, before Gwen could sit down, Shadow appeared by the window behind her through teleportation punched the window, and grabbed a hold of the back of Gwen's jacket.

"Got you!" he roared with anger as he yanked Gwen out the window and teleported himself and her to the now-empty boarding station.

After Shadow teleported along with holding Gwen's jacket inside of GUN headquarters, she tried to release herself but Shadow kept holding onto her until she managed to be set free as her jacket got ripped, ruining it. That made Gwen's face red full of anger.

"Shadow!" Gwen yelled angrily as Shadow was surprised by her rage.

Gwen fights Shadow as he tries to dodge her attacks, but she keeps fighting as she is too angry while Shadow keeps dodging her. He manages to stop Gwen by pinning her on the ground to hold her down.

"Gwen, stop fighting me! And I don't want to fight you either." Shadow said.

"Shadow, do you realize you're taking things too far?!" Gwen said angrily.

Gwen manages to get out from being pinned and they stand themselves as they are ready to fight more but Shadow realizes he still has a mission to do and he stares at Gwen, who keeps reminding him of Maria, so he skates away which makes Gwen confused and mad at the same time.

"Shadow, come back!" she screamed as she skated after him.

Meanwhile, the Robotniks arrive at the laser hall.

"What now, my cunning cohort?" Gerald asked.

"Just a little teamwork."

Eggman pushes Gerald into the lasers, and he screams and fidgets around. However, the lasers seem to be bouncing off his suit.

"Hey. The lasers don't seem to be penetrating my suit. They're conforming to the shape of my bodacious bod." Gerald realized, checking himself.

"Of course. I designed these suits to create a field of laser bending thermo-distortion. Wasn't sure it would work until now." Eggman explained, walking through the lasers to stand beside him.

"You're a heartless son." Gerald started, which Eggman nodded with a hum. "Rotten to the core."

Eggman nodded again but proudly.

"I'm... so proud of you. Now we can dance right through." Gerald said.

"That sounds like a challenge." Eggman grinned, pointing at him..

They proceed to dance their way down the laser hall to The Chemical Brothers' "Galvanize." They dance back and forth in unison, doing the robot while moving their arms, heads, and bellies while the lasers reflect off their suits. The room flashes between red and blue while they zip around. They then hold hands and waltz together. Next, Eggman holds out his hand while lip-synching.

My finger is on the button...

Gerald holds out his while on the ground.

Push the button.

Eggman then lifts his grandfather up a la Dirty Dancing and spins him up in the air. The two smile at each other while enjoying their dance.

Back to Tails as he's still typing on his computer.

"The Robotniks are almost at the vault." he warned them.

"We're out of time. I'm going." Sonic said, getting into his running position.

"No, Sonic! I haven't disabled the traps yet!" Tails said.

Sonic speeds around the London Eye and zooms off.

"Too late!"

He runs down the streets of London.

"Look at me, I'm running on the wrong side of the road!"

The energy field starts to form around GUN HQ.

"I gotta take in the sight!"

First, Sonic poses on the Abbey Road as each of the Beatles on the cover of their Abbey Road album.

"Paul! John! George! The other one!"

He then speeds around the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain.

"Live American coming through!"

Next, he goes into Buckingham Palace.

"Excuse me. Pardon me. Ello, guvnor? Which way to Hogwarts?"

Sonic emerges in a royal robe and a crown on his head while holding a staff.

"Hear ye, hear ye!" he as he hold a cup of tea. "Sonic the Hedgehog wants a cup of tea!"

He speeds past the Royal Guardsmen, giving one of them the royal outfit.

"Hold this for me, please?"

Finally, he speeds towards GUN HQ.

"You're not gonna make it!" Tails shouted.

"I can make it!" Sonic convinced him.

Sonic runs up London Bridge and zooms toward the building.

"You're not gonna make it!" Knuckles yelled with a warning.

"I'm gonna make it!" Sonic repeated.

The shield was almost about to close on him as he realized a little too late.

"I'm not gonna make it. I'M NOT GONNA MAKE IT!"

Luckily, Tails flies in, spins him around, and throws him through the hole just as it was closing.

"Made it!" Sonic cheered.

"Whoo!" Tails cheered as well.

Sonic then speeds into the building and runs past GUN workers.

"Excuse me! Coming through! No time for autographs." he said, looking at a file for a bit and tossing it away to continue running. "Gotta go!"
