Sonic wakes up as he sees Neptune and Nepgear.
Sonic: Huh? Neptune? Nepgear?
Nepgear: Thank goodness you're okay.
Neptune: Yeah, we thought we lost you.
Sonic then remembers back in the roof where he saw the girls showering.
Sonic: Wahh!
Nepgear: Sonic?!
Neptune: What's wrong?
Sonic: Oh, never mind, hehe. Where's Uzume?
Neptune: She's over there.
Sonic walks over to Uzume.
Sonic: Hey, Uzume.
Uzume: Sonic, you're awake
Sonic: Yeah.

Uzume: I know you wouldn't have done that and I'm sorry for punching you.
Sonic: No, no, it's fine really. I didn't know there was a button next to the kitchen that sends me up onto the roof. It's my fault.

Sonic: Just stretching out my legs after a long sleep.
Nepgear: Oh, Neptune. I wanted to learn more about this place, so I was gathering information on the internet.

Nepgear: Yeah. I was able to do it sometime now.
Neptune: That is your speciality, after all. So, ya find anything good?
Nepgear: Nothing yet. Wireless isn't functioning in this area, so I just connected the N-Gear to the net by cable.

Nepgear: It's like you said, in a pretty terrible state, but it looks like public organization and the Basilicom servers are still online. That's where I found map data. Most of the rest of it was broken though. Oh, also, I found this through hacki- I mean investigating, but is this your BBS, Uzume?
Sonic: Huh?
Neptune: I thought I heard "hacking" just now...

Nepgear: It's this bulletin board called "Dream BBS." Most of the threads are about safety confirmation, survival reports, or general discussion, it seems. From what I can tell, is it possibly just using a freely distributed style sheet? It feels kind of nostalgic.

Uzume: Even is the giant's not here, there are still some dangerous monsters running around. I defeat the more prominent ones, just as a means to ensure everyone's safety.
Sonic: If that's the case, I'm coming too. Not letting you have all the fun.

Nepgear: Mmm, yeah, I'll come along as well. I might make some sort of discovery, too.
Uzume: Alright then. Oh, before we go, I should give you a new name, Sonic.

Neptune, Nepgear: Speedy?
Sonic: Speedy, huh? I like it.

In the city:
They go around the city defeating monsters. Sonic does a spindash destroying the monsters. Uzume uses her megaphone to destroy the monsters and Neptune and Nepgear uses their swords slashing the monsters as they disappear.
Uzume: Whew. I think that's all of them. You're a better fighter than you let on, you three.
Neptune: Heh. A skilled hawk hides its talons and what not.
Sonic: Hehe, thanks.
Nepgear: Hehe.
Uzume: Let's head back to base.
Sonic: Sure.
Nepgear notices something on her N-Gear.
Nepgear: (Hmm? What's this?)

Few minutes later:
Uzume gets a call call from the boy.
Uzume: Oh, it's Umio!
Sonic: (So Umio's his name huh?)
Uzume: Hey! Were you able to find out about that crystal?
Umio: Uzume, yes. The legitimacy of the Share Crystal has been verified. It's quite remarkable. I would have never imagined a Share Crystal would be here. Now that it's in my possession, I'll be heading back to you within the day- W-Who are you?! Ahhhhgh?!
Uzume: Umio! Hey, Umio!
Sonic: What's going on?
Neptune: That was bad, wasn't it?
Uzume: Nepsy, Gearsy, Speedy, I need to head over to the nearby town to save Umio. Will you come with me?
Neptune: Do you seriously have to ask? Let's go!
Sonic: Yeah! You're friend is in trouble, so of course we're gonna help!
Uzume: Thanks, guys. The city's over there.
Sonic: Well then, time to light speed, keed!
Sonic makes clones of himself as he carries the girl's princess style as Uzume blushes.
Uzume: Huh? What are you doing? I can run myself.
Sonic: We'll get there faster if I take you girls there.
Neptune: Yeah, he's really great for going places faster.
Nepgear: Yeah.
Uzume: O-Okay.
Sonic: Alright then, let's go!

In Coral Station:
Uzume: Umio should be around here somewhere.
Nepgear: Somewhere...? He didn't tell you where he was...?
Sonic: Welp, that sucks.
Neptune: Heeeeeey, Umiooooo! Give us a shout if you're heeeeere!
Uzume: I wish our communication didn't get cut short... It'd be cool if we found someone who could point us in the right direction...
Nepgear: I'm not sure rescue missions are ever that convenient...
Uzume: You never know. A mysterious bystander might have been accompanying Umio when he was attacked. Maybe they both escaped.
Uzume's voice starts to get higher.
Uzume: Then, while they're wandering around looking for us, we'll just happen to run into them. We'll be totally surprised at the coincidence, and like, both Uzume and her pal totally won't be able to believe it, ya know? Then just like that they'll lead us to where Umio is, and we'll, like, beat up the meant monsters that were bullying Umio! Umio's saved, and we'll find the Share Crystal, and we'll be totally super lucky like that!
Sonic, Neptune, Nepgear: Uhh...
Uzume: Huh?! *C-Cough!* So yeah, there's a small chance someone will appear to show us the way, right?
Neptune: Uh, Uzume, sorry, but what in the world was that thing you just turned into?
Uzume: O-Oh, I think you're just imagining things...
Neptune: No, no, no, I most definitely was not! You just transformed into some kind of valley girl from the 90's or something!
Nepgear: You were referring to yourself as "Uzume" in third person, too!
Sonic: Yep.
Uzume: Y-You're hearing things. Or maybe there are monsters that can create illusions around here... Ha ha ha... Those crazy beasts...
Sonic: Hehe, yeah... Anyway, speaking of someone, there's a fish right there.
The fish comes in to find Uzume.

Neptune: S-Someone actually came?!
Sonic: Yep. And it's a talking fish. Good thing I'm not the only animal that talks in this dimension.
Uzume: Sweet! Nice timing, Baby Bug!
Baby Bug: Huh? Nice... timing?
Uzume: Oh, uh. Just somethin' concerning us. More importantly, you seem a little riled up- Is it about Umio?
Baby Bug: Yes, you're correct. Umio got attacked by a monster, and it's awful. I'll show you the way, so let's hurry over.

Sonic: I said nothing. Let's go.
Sonic and Uzume follows Baby Bug.
Nepgear: I-I can't believe things turned out the way she imagined...
Neptune: Me too, but I'm having a harder time getting over that valley girl transformation. She seems like she's trying to hide it, but...
Uzume: Heeey. What're you guys doin', we're gonna leave you behind!
Sonic: Yep! Hurry up!
Baby Bug: I'll show you the way! Please hurry!
Neptune: Whoa, wait up!

In a strange place:
Sonic: What is this place?
Uzume: Umio's in here?
Baby Bug: Yes! My friends and I were originally using this place as a house. We happened to find something that looked like a Share Crystal in the far back, so we asked Umio to check if it was real. But while that was happening, a monster we've never seen before suddenly appeared... I really hope Umio is okay.
Uzume: Okay, I understand the situation. SoC was that Share Crystal the real deal?
Baby Bug: Yes, of course. Umio is holding onto it right now so the monster won't destroy it.
Sonic: (A monster you've never seen before, huh? This is getting interesting.) Don't worry, we'll rescue Umio for you.
Baby Bug: Thank you so much!
Uzume: We'd better hurry and save him.
But before they go, monsters appeared.
Baby Bug: Oh no, it's those monsters!
Sonic: Don't worry, you'll be fine! Let's do this, girls!
Girls: Right!

Sonic runs up as he spindashes the monsters as they were in the air. Neptune and Nepgear grab their swords and jumps in the air as they slash the monsters, as they disappear. Uzume uses her megaphone to attack the monster as it was dizzy.

Uzume: Yeah!
Sonic and Uzume charges up for a punch as they punch through the monster as it disappears.
Sonic: Heh, nice punch.
Uzume: Same to you.
Baby Bug: That was awesome!
Sonic: Hehe.
Uzume: Anyway, let's look for Umio.
Everyone: Yeah!

Few minutes later:
Neptune: So, Uzume, are you pretty well acquainted with this Baby Bug?
Uzume: Nepsy, we're more than just acquaintances, these little guys are my allies too. Baby Bugs are the most common monsters in this world, and live in herds in all sorts of places. They have a network between their herds too, so they often help me look for Share Crystals.
Baby Bug: in return, Miss Uzume protects us from the ferocious monsters!
Sonic: That's good. That's nice of you, Uzume.
Uzume: Well, I always help others.
Neptune: Wow, what a beautiful relationship! But you know, after looking at these Baby Bugs, I'm starting to feel a little... hungry.
Sonic: Huh?
Uzume: Hungry? You eat... Baby Bugs? Does everyone in your nation do that?!
Baby Bug: Eeeeek!
Neptune: Ew, no way! Of course not! Well at least, I've never eaten one myself... But, I heard when you deep fry them in oil, they taste just like fried shrimp!

Uzume: She's probably trying to get on the net. You need to use a public phone or an external terminal to access it from outside, after all.

Boogie: Umio distracted the monster then escaped over that way. Please hurry and save him before he ends up being eaten!
Uzume: You Baby Bugs are pretty tough to wait around here even though it's so dangerous. Thank you all very much.
The Chaz: Aw, shucks. It's nothin'. Please be careful. That monster looks really strong.
Uzume: Ah, no need to worry. I got these two super buff CPUs and a blue hedgehog to help me out.
Neptune: That's right! With us three helping out Uzume that monster won't stand a chance!
Nepgear: Yes, please leave it to us!
Sonic: Strong, huh? Okay, we're on it!
Uzume: Anyway, Baby Bugs, that's the situation, so hide out in a safe place, and once it's all over, we'll call for you.
Sonic: Well, be quick cause is that the monster you bugs were talking about?
The others turn around as they see a big monster with a horn on its head.
Uzume: So that's the one that jumped Umio. That monster's going down easy.
Fried Shrimp: Miss Uzume, can you really defeat it?
Uzume: I think you already know the answer to that one, Baby Bug. Nepsy! Gearsy! Speedy! Let's go!
Sonic: Already on it!

Sonic goes first as the monster rush towards Sonic. The monster goes to ram Sonic, but Sonic jumps over him as he punches the monster, but does nothing.

The monster keeps going as it goes for the goddesses. The goddesses dodges the attack as it turns around. Sonic shoots energy blasts at the monster as Neptune and Nepgear runs in to use their special attacks.
Neptune: Cross Combination!
Nepgear: Mirage Dance!
Neptune and Nepgear strikes the monster, but it does nothing.
Neptune: Huh?
Nepgear: It's not hurting it.
Uzume: My turn!
Uzume uses her megaphone to attack the monster, but does nothing.
Sonic: Something's going in with that monster's defense.
Uzume: I get it. I thought it was pretty hard for us to attack, but that bastard's got a physical barrier.
Nepgear: A barrier.
Neptune: That's cheating!
Sonic: Well, those wings seem suspicious.
Uzume: I got a plan. Speedy, distract it while us three will try this move.
Sonic: Alright! Hey, you! Ole! Ole!
The monster goes towards Sonic as Sonic jumps on its back and rides it.
Sonic: Whoa, take it easy pal!
Uzume: Okay, we need to be in a triangle for this to work.
Nepgear: What is it?
Uzume: It's called the Tri Burst. It only works on us CPUs. Once Sonic brings it here, we'll be able to break its parts.
Neptune: Alright! Sonic, how's it going?
Sonic: Going great so far! Whoa, slow down!
Sonic gets close to the others as he shoots a energy blast at the monster causing him to stay in the middle.
Uzume: Speedy, get off of it quick!
Sonic: Okay!
Sonic jumps off the monster as the goddesses corners it.
Uzume: Now!
Neptune, Nepgear, Uzume: Tri Burst!
The goddesses uses the Tri Burst as it breaks the monsters's wings causing the barrier to break.
Uzume: Alright! The enemy's barrier disappeared! Now's the time to strike back, everyone!
Everyone: Yeah!
The monster gets angry as it charges up a powerful rush attack.
Nepgear: It's charging up!
Neptune: Here it comes!
The monsters goes towards the goddesses, but they dodge it as it was going for the Baby Bugs.
Baby Bugs: Ahhhh!
Uzume: Oh no!
Neptune: They're gonna get eaten!
Nepgear: We can't make it in time!
Sonic: Not happening!
Sonic rushes in front of the monster as he holds back the powerful attack.
Sonic: Gh...!
Neptune, Nepgear: Sonic!
Uzume: Speedy!
Sonic: I won't let you hurt them!
Sonic pushes back the attack as he breaks its horn. Sonic punches the monster as it blows him away.
Uzume: Thanks, Speedy.
Baby Bugs: Thank you so much!
Sonic: Heh, no problem.
Nepgear: Guys, it's still here!
Neptune: Yeah!
Sonic: Alright then. Let's show it who's boss!
Uzume: Right!
Uzume transforms into Orange Heart as Sonic and Uzume charges up a punch.

Neptune and Nepgear combined their special attack as it damages the monster.

Sonic, Uzume: Double Aura Punch!
Sonic and Uzume together punches the monster as it gets blown away and disappears.

Nepgear: I think you're right. Since there aren't any more monsters around, we should be able to look for Umio freely now.

The monster appears again as Sonic and the goddesses fought it before.

Sonic and Uzume goes straight to the Slaymon as it shoots fire at them, but they dodge it. Sonic uses his kunai blades slashing the Slaymon and Uzume uses her megaphone as they damage the Slaymon. Nepgear and Nepgear slashes the Slaymon as they damage it. The Slaymon shoots lasers at Uzume, but she dodges it as it shoots more lasers.
Sonic quickly goes in front of Uzume and deflects the lasers back at the Slaymon damaging it.
Neptune: Cross Combination!
Nepgear: Slash Wave!
Neptune and Nepgear uses their special attacks as they damage the Slaymon.
Uzume: Speedy, let's use our technique!

Sonic and Uzume rush towards the Slaymon and rapidly punches it again and again.

Uzume kicks the Slaymon as Sonic jumps in the air spinning like a ball.

Uzume screams on her megaphone doing massive damage to the Slaymon as Sonic spins down.

Sonic spins down and kicks the Slaymon in the head as it disappears. Sonic turns back to normal.

Neptune: Yippee! We won! An amazing victory!
Uzume: It was a super easy victory thanks to you three being here. He he!
Uzume turns back to normal.
Uzume: That giant and I can finally duke it out without being bothered by that stupid mutt.
