In the factory:
Nepgear finishes the repairs for the transmission.

Nepgear: Yes! The repair was successful!

Sonic: Nice job, Nepgear.

Nepgear: Hehe.

Uzume: That's great. You three can go home to your own world.

Neptune: Yeah, but it's kinda hard to celebrate knowing there's probably piles of work to deal with back home... *Sigh* I can already hear Histy's eternal, boring lecture-y voice in my head...

Historie: Would it happen to sound like this?

Sonic: Oop, busted.

Neptune: That's so spot on, Uzume, wow. That's sounds just like- Wait, Histy?! Why are we on a call with her?!

Nepgear: I-I'm sorry, Neptune! Since I just finished repairs, I thought to call Histoure right away.

Historie: I answered this call holding the highest hopes for you three to return quickly, but hearing these complaints from Neptune is just too much. So, if you so desire, Nepgear and Sonic may return to tend to business over here, and Neptune, you may very well stay in that world for eternity.

Sonic: Well, I guess this is it.

Historie: Nepgear, are you ready? Enter the coordinates I specify into the N-Gear. I will take care of the controls for the transfer afterwards.

They go outside as Arfoire and her monsters were destroying the factory.

Arfoire: Ha ha ha ha ha! Monsters, destroy this building! They ruined my plans... and I will ruin their escape!

Neptune: Dang it, Uzume and Nep Jr. were having a touching, plot-developing moment, and you had to go break it up! That's supposed to be my job, dummy! The others starts laughing.

Uzume: Tch, they're too many of 'em!

Arfoire: Haa ha ha ha! What's wrong? I expected more from you CPU's.

Umio: There are just too many; we're overwhelmed. Let's take cover in that building for now.

Uzume: You're tellin' me to show my back to this pop-up jackass?! Way past uncool!

Sonic: I'm with Umio on this one! We're outa here! And also, that's my line.

They all start running as they go to the building.

In the factory:

Umio: They'll probably be a while before they can clear a path to the entrance here.

Sonic: Good, that can give us some time.

Neptune: Jeez, that hag's personality is super rotten, brining along a horde of monsters to attack us right as the last second! Dumb!

Nepgear: What should we do, though? There are so many!

Uzume: Hey, why are you sweating' it, Gearsy? It's seriously nothin' to worry about. I'm gonna transfer you guys now. Hurry up and get inside the terminal.

Sonic: Huh?

Neptune: Just a dang minute! No way! We can't just leave you with this horde right outside!

Uzume: It's totally cool. Compared to that giant, those wimps don't mean a thing.

The factory starts to shake as the monsters were breaking in.

Sonic: Oh great, they're coming in!

Umio: We have no time. Get in the terminal, you three. Gearsy, give Histoire the trasfer signal.

Histoire: My preparations are complete. I am aware of your situation via the N-Gear, as well.

Uzume: Okay, you three are in. I didn't think our farewell would be this hectic, but... Hey, you stay safe when you get back, alright?

Neptune: Only if you promise not to push yourself, Uzume.

Sonic: Yeah. It's been nice knowing you, Uzume.

Uzume: I promise, as soon as you three leave. I'm gonna make a run for it.

Nepgear: ...

Arfoire blasts through seeing them.

Arfoire: I found you little brats!

Uzume: Oh crap, she's already here. See ya, Nepsy and Gearsy!

Histoire: Transfer initiated

Arfoire: Tch! I'm too late! You will pay for this with your life!

Nepgear: Uzume, watch out!

Nepgear runs out of the terminal surprising them.

Sonic, Neptune: Nepgear?!

Sonic: Shoot!

Sonic then jumps out of the terminal as well.

Neptune: Sonic?!

Sonic: Sorry, Neptune, but I gotta!

Neptune: Of course you do. Keep her safe, okay?

Sonic: Heh, gotcha!

Neptune smiles as she disappears.

Sonic: Now then...

Nepgear runs up to Uzume.

Nepgear: Uzume, are you okay?

Uzume: You damn idiot! Do you understand the implications of what you just did?!

Nepgear: But, the way things were going, you would have-

Uzume: I ain't having it! It was your chance to go home! We worked so hard and you just freakin blew it!

As one of the monsters goes to attack Nepgear, Sonic kicks the monster as it disappears.

Nepgear: S-Sonic?!

Uzume: Oh man, not you too!

Nepgear: Why are you-

Sonic: Now's not the time, we gotta go now!

Umio: Speedy's right. What's done is done. Please focus your energy on finding a means of escaping.

Uzume sees a hole by the wall.

Uzume: Quick, this way!

They all run away from Arfoire and the monsters as they head outside.

Uzume: A-Alright, I think we're in the clear. Okay, Gearsy, seriously, what the hell was that? And why's Speedy here too?

Sonic: To get Nepgear back of course. But I guess it's done now. Nepgear, what happened back there?

Nepgear: Well, she was in danger... My body just kinda moved on it's own, and before I knew it I was jumping out of the term-

Uzume: None of that matters! I shouldn't have even been part of that equation! This was your chance! What are you doing wasting it on me? So stupid!

Sonic: I wouldn't call that stupid.

Uzume: Huh?

Sonic: I understand what Nepgear meant. It wasn't stupid. It was a good thing she did stepped out, otherwise you really would've gotten yourself hurt.

Nepgear: Sonic...

Sonic: You knew it yourself, didn't you?

Uzume: ... But then... but then, how can I ever forgive myself for ruining your only way home?

Umio: Uzume. It's in the past. What's important now is to begin planning our next move.

Uzume: That's easy. We're going back over there and wrecking each and every last one of 'em! Maybe Gearsy and Speedy can still make it back home...

Umio: Even if we returned there, if the terminal was heavily damaged in the battle, I doubt it's usable any longer.

Sonic: Welp, that sucks.

Uzume: Then what are we supposed to do?

Umio: Our current foe differs from the giant in that she has clear objectives when mounting her attack. I propose we evacuate this area completely.

Uzume: You really want us to run away from her?

Umio: Not exactly. We'll need to devise an appropriate strategy of retaliation, considering this foe is so different from what we've faced in the past. Concurrently, we can also be considering alternative options to return Gearsy and Speedy home.

Uzume: Okay, as long as we get to fight back. I hate being passive. It doesn't feel right.

Sonic: So where are we going exactly?

Umio: We'll be returning to our main base. Some of our friends may be able to offer help.

Sonic: Main base?

Nepgear: What do you mean by "main base," Uzume? Wasn't this your base?

Uzume: I guess I never mentioned it. This was just a temporary base we created for our bouts with the giant. And don't think asking questions is gonna make you forget your foolish move. You're in for a long lecture once we get over there, Gearsy.

Nepgear: P-Please go easy on me...

Sonic: Welp, let's go! Hopefully Neptune made it back safely.

Back in Planeptune:
Neptune makes it back to the basilicom as she sees Histoire.

Neptune: I arrived in Hyper Dimension! Woo hoo! Anyway where's Histy? Histy! It's an- huh?!

Histoire: Oh... Nep... tune... Welcome... home... I'm glad... you made it... safely... back... By the way... where's Nepgear and Sonic...

Neptune: Wha?! Did Histy just short circuit?! Oh no no no, what the heck should I do?!

IF then appears

IF: Jeez, Nep, what's this racket about? You haven't even been back five minutes and you're making a scene. You should at least come to say hi first.

Neptune runs up to IF.

Neptune: Ifffyyyyy!

IF: Hey, calm down! What's going on?

Few minutes later in Neptune's room:
IF: So that's what happened. I called Compa, but... we don't know if the treatments we used are gonna work.

Compa arrives.

Compa: Sorry to keep you waiting, Iffy. Oh, welcome home, Nep-Nep.

Neptune: Long time no see.

IF: Compa, you think you can check on Histoire?

Compa: Hmm? Let's see... It might be impossible with normal treatment methods.

IF: Figures.

Compa: But if we find the user's manual for it, I'm sure it can help us find a way to help Histoire.

IF: A user's manual...? Even if one existed, I really doubt it's still around here... it'd be so old...

Neptune: Yeah, seriously, she's not some run-of-the-mill consumer electronics device, so there isn't- Wait, there totally is an instruction manual!

IF: Are you kidding me?

Neptune: No joke, Iffy! I distinctly remember Histy going on and about her manual once, many Planeptune moons ago...

Compa: Then, let's hop to it! Let's find the manual!

IF: It's gonna be hard to find it though.

The three girls think as a sudden portal opens up.

Neptune: Huh?

IF: A portal!

Compa: Could Nepgear and Sonic be back?

Neptune: Hey! Nepgear! Sonic!

They look through the portal as Dem- Sonic jumps out of the portal as it closes

Neptune, IF, Compa: Huh? Dem-Sonic?!

Dem-Sonic: Oh, hey guys!
