Placement in the timeline: He'll meet the Z-fighters during the Saiyan saga and how he got there was by going through the teleport rings, you know the ones from the movies. Anyways the reason why he was there was that The freedom fighters, Sonic friends, were just attacked by some of the Frieza force and listened in on one of their Scouters and found there heard of their next target, Earth. Thinking that earth didn't stand a chance at the threat tried to convince Javin to go to earth and help out.
