This is a universe where the Gem species from Steven Universe exists as part of Sonic's world.

In this combination of the franchise timelines, the Gems and the Ancients arrive at Mobius around the same time.

Since the Ancients weren't looking for a fight and were just trying to find a new home to live in peace at, while the Gems were just trying to colonize the planet, Pink Diamond easily agrees to share Mobius with the Ancients and forms a pact where one side comes to the other's aid if a third party attacks them.

Both species make the echidna tribes below as their first contact, with Pink finding interest in the Master Emerald that they worship and protect, being given the ME by the echidnas and having it reborn as a brand new member of the Gem species so it could be a mediator between Gems and Mobians.

The Ancients also give Pink the Chaos Emeralds to be reborn as Gems as well, probably the first Gems to be formed from something another civilization made, becoming the bridge between the Ancients and the Gems.

The ME later gives birth to Chaos, making her the first Gem to not only reproduce, but also produce organic life. (Pink made anyone in her inner circle swear not to let anyone from Homeworld, including the other Diamonds, know about Chaos being a product of ME)

When the Ancients found out that all organic life on Mobius will be wiped out if the Gems continue to harvest the planet's energy, they threatened to go to war against the Gems and destroy them all, but Pink managed ease tensions down to avoid Homeworld reacting to this by promising to appeal to the Diamonds to spare Mobius and other worlds.

After her efforts went nowhere, Pink disguised herself as Rose Quartz and teamed up with her Crystal Gems, the Ancients and a small coalition of humans and Mobians to fight for Mobius' future against the Homeworld.

Similar with the Crystal Gems, the Ancients suffered tons of casualties, resulting in survivors going into hiding.

When the Diamonds fired their beam of light at Mobius to wipe out the rebellion of Gems, ME was protected by a shield barrier on an alter, while the CE hid away into parallel realms nicknamed Zones.

Rose Quartz and the Crystal Gems went on after the war was supposedly over and tried to capture corrupted Gems, though ME had gone mostly dormant after the war, living on the altar under the protection of her son Chaos.

When the Knuckles Clan/Tribe attacked the altar and Chaos wiped out most of them in anger and being overprotective of his mother and the Chao, Tikal and ME stopped him from rampaging further by sealing him and Tikal inside ME.

Fast forward to Project Shadow on the Ark, where Gerald discovers two corrupted Gems and tries to see if their energy can cure diseases. (Like the illness Maria has called NIDs)

The experiments on the first Gem resulted in Bio Lizard being created, deemed a failure and left abandoned in the Ark

Black Doom eventually arrived and offered his DNA in exchange for a deal on Gerald's end like in canon, though this time Gerald has the Gem too.

Gerald combined the DNA of Black Doom with that of Mobian DNA and inserted the Gem inside the subject, the project named Shadow the Hedgehog becoming a success.

(The Gem isn't technically dead, just now physically part of Shadow, giving him extra powers....but with the consequence of 50/50 chance he now has a voice inside his head.)

Like in canon, the raid on the Ark happens and Shadow is put in stasis.

As usual, things like Robotnik/Eggman trying to imprison animals and take over the world will eventually happen, but with Sonic there to stop him.

(I leave it up to you if Sonic still has the same background or if the Crystal Gems adopted him when he was a baby.)

No one knows what'll happen next when not only does Homeworld find out about everything that happened in their absence....but when Eggman discovers that not only are the CE and ME alive...but that Diamonds are the most powerful of the Gems.

[Now that lore is out of the way, time for some brief data on Sonic's gems]

The Chaos Emeralds

Aka (Red): Has the shortest temper of the group and can cover herself in fire to deal more damage

Gelb (Yellow): Is the energetic and bubbly one, capable of creating electricity from anywhere in her body

Lila (Purple): The serious one of the bunch and is capable of traveling through shadows fast, and is especially dangerous in the nighttime where she can manipulate shadows

Shiro (White): a Gem that shows little to no emotion, having the ability to turn invisible

Shian (cyan): The most adventurous of the Gems and sometimes likes to show off, capable of running fast and even having her own boost.

Ao (Blue): The most peaceful of the CE and often prefers to reason with the other side if possible to avoid a fight, her ability being that of flight

Vert (Green): She's capable of teleporting around and slowing down time, though she's a little bratty and rude when told to use her powers or when anyone tries to use her.

(Hey I can't blame her since Sonic and Shadow keep making her the first CE used in adventures. If I kept getting grabbed and used like that, I'd put my foot down too)

And finally there's Malika, the Master Emerald and original leader over the CE.

Unlike most of the CE, Malika is a complete pacifist and refuses to engage in fights, often staying behind to provide guidance and heal anyone injured.

Her motherly nature and compassion is often strong that she will step in when one lacks someone to comfort and guide them

This parental instinct extends to anyone, especially her biological son Chaos and her adopted son Knuckles, as well as Tikal seeing her as a mother figure.

Malika can give and take away the powers of the CE, hold up Angel Island with her mind, can show visions of the future or something currently happening, can heal and is capable of freeing Gems from corruption.

I have no idea what everyone's reaction to this universe will be or how this will go down.

Home Scenarios

1) Pick an enemy Gem to fight

2) Play as your OC and the Crystal Gems fighting Eggman's forces alongside Sonic and his friends.

Echidna Scenario) For any OCs that are biological or adopted siblings of Knuckles, both of you being raised by Malika.

Adventure 1 Scenario) Go through the events involving Chaos, but with Steven and the Crystal Gems as additional help.

Adventure 2 Scenario) Go through the events involving Shadow and the Ark, but with Steven and the Crystal Gems helping.

Shadow the Hedgehog Scenario) Black Doom and the Black Arms race arrives and tries to invade the planet, meaning all conflict between Crystal Gems and Homeworld Gems are put aside to stop them

Unleashed Scenario) Sonic and the CE had all went to stop Eggman and destroy his fleet, only for the CE to be put dormant, Sonic is turned into a Werehog and Mobius is broken apart. Looks like it's time to travel the world!

Colors Scenario) As you can guess where this is going, Steven and the Crystal Gems go with Sonic and Tails to see what's up with Eggman's amusement park

Forces Scenario) Sonic is defeated and captured by Infinite and the CE go missing, leading to a long war between the Resistance and Eggman Empire

Frontiers Scenario) Similar scenario to the game itself, but Sonic gets help from you and the CE while on Starfall Islands

Nazo Unleashed) Similar to story, though with the CE being alive and all that

Satam/Archie Scenario) Set in an alternate timeline and reality from this one where the world is currently under Robotnik's control and the Crystal Gems are part of the Freedom Fighters

Underground Scenario) Set in a world Robotnik took over, but with this version of the Freedom Fighters being the Crystal Gems teamed up with Sonic, Sonia and Manic

Sonic Prime) Similar events to the Netflix series, but with Sonic and Steven traveling through Shatterverses, the Crystal Gems are part of different Shatterverses and Shadow and Connie are bystanders forced to watch all of this.

Disclaimer: I haven't watched Steven Universe prior to making this page, only having watched a timeline video to understand this.

This AU was made because I thought the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald being alive was a cool concept

Maybe when I get the chance, I'll decide to watch some of the the show so I'm more familiar with the personalities of the Gems and other characters.

If anyone is alright with controlling the SU characters while I control the Sonic characters, I would greatly appreciate it.
