Tangle and Whisper stood in front of a large and secured door, Whisper opens a control panel and mess with the wires as a way to open the door. Tangle stood at guard, making sure Whisper will have much cover as possible.

Tangle: You okay there Whisper?

Whisper: Almost got it.

Then the secured door open and they head inside. They look around the room and then they find Nicole inserted into a computer at the other side of a glass case as they rush over to her.

Tangle: Nicole you okay?

She doesn't respond so they begin to try to get her out of there. Then Whisper felt something wrong and then immediately turns and grabs a knife from Mimic as he smirks while he said.

Mimic: (smirk) Hello Whisper. Been a while hasn't it?

Whisper kicks Mimic across the room which he slammed his back against the wall.

Whisper: You try and get Nicole while I'll handle Mimic.

She charges towards him and the two begin to fight while Tangle try to get in until she decided.

Tangle: Screw it!

She use hee tail to break the glass and pull out Nicole's chip and turn to see Whisper and Mimic still fighting. Tangle rushes forward and kicks Mimic away.

Mimic slides across the room and then he draws out a laser gun at them. Before he can fire however a ceiling panel drop down and hits Mimic on the head and then Fiona came down and lands on top of Mimic follow by SNT.

Tangle: (smile) Perfect timing!

Fiona: (smile) Good thing we did. Just gotten word that Y/n found Sally and we're getting out of here.

Tangle: Awesome! Let's get out of here then!

With that the four make their leave but then SNT stop and looks at the controls. Out of curiosity she walks over and gets inside. She then uncover some files and then she finds her name within them.

She decided to take it so she can know about herself so she downloaded the file and once down she pull out the hard drive and make her leave.

(Meanwhile)

Eggmans bots try to stop Y/n and Sally's escape but Y/n takes them out with his electricity. Once the path is clear he grab Sally around the army and carry her to the exit.

Sally: So Hamlin was working for Eggman this whole time.

Y/n: Yeah and pick us as the true evil and now we are Banished from the city. Naugus even took over your families kingdom.

Sally: (shocking) Oh god. I shouldn't have been there. I'm sorry.

Y/n: Don't be sorry. None of this isn't your fault. The important thing to do is to get out of here before its too late.

They kept going and finally they see the light up ahead and soon they made it outside. There was nothing but destruction as they see allt of Eggmans robots trashed and destroyed.

Y/n: Sonic, Tails where are you guys? We're getting out of here! I have Sally.

Tangle: And we have Nicole!

Then the girls arrive with Nicole and soon Sonic and Tails arrive and all are glad to see Sally.

Y/n: Reunions will have to wait. Let's get out of here!

They make their escape as turrets came online and they open fire at them. They dodge the shots with Y/n turning back and shooting lighting to take out a few.

Soon they made it back to the boats and they climb on board and once on and leave the island. The turrets stop firing as if Eggman wants them to escape.

Sonic: (smirk) Looks like Egghead has enough.

Y/n: No. I think he knows that we lost.

Sonic: What do you mean? We have Sally and Nicole.

Y/n: Yeah but most of the world lost faith with the Freedom fighters and Hamlin....Well.....I suppose I can tell you all now.

(Meanwhile)

We see Eggman at his command centre watching them leave through the screen becore he switches the screen to Hamlin.

Eggman: It looks like they have succeed of rescuing Sally.

Hamlin: (screen) No matter. As long they are away from New Metropolis, the Acorn kingdom or any large cities.....then I can see that as a win.

Eggman: Yes and the deal with continue. You'll control half of the planet while I control the other.

Hamlin: (screen) Agree. Finally after all these years we finally have peace.

Eggman: Agree.

The screen turns off and that's when Starline came up behind Eggman and then ask him.

Starline: Sir if I may ask, are you actually gonna attack New Metropolis?

Eggman: I would but I won't.

Starline: My I ask why?

Eggman: You see Starline it is better to have an important allie in your pocket at all cost. He said he wanted peace so I give him one.....for a price.

Starline: Price?

Eggman: If he delivers me new materials, plans and robot designs then I will our alliance continue. As long I demand of him to bring in supplies then our peace will continue.

Starline: Ah I understand now! Your truly are a genius sir, indeed you are! So what now?

Eggman: We have the other half of the world to make it as our new empire so let us begin.

Starline: (smirk) Indeed sir.

(Later)

They find themselves at the Sky Patrol and we see Y/n walking down of a almost empty halls as even more Freedom fighters members left.

Things have become worse as most Freedom fighters members begin to lose hope since now Hamlin and Eggman have turn the world against them.

Soon Y/n arrive at the medical room and he opens the door to see Dr Quack checking on her when Y/n came in and ask Dr Quack.

Y/n: How is she?

Dr Quack: She will be okay. I'll leave you two be.

Y/n: Of course, thank you.

He make his leave and once he was gone Y/n sat next to Sally.

Y/n: How are you feeling?

Sally: Okay. But being trapped within a metal body......it was scary.

Y/n: Yeah but your back now. How is Nicole?

Sally: Tails is getting her fixed and to be sure she doesn't have any virus.

Y/n: That's good.

Sally: Yeah.

The two fall silent for a moment and then Sally then ask.

Sally: My father.....is he?

Y/n:....It was the reason we rescue you. You may not see your father again.

Sally:.......I guess the time has come.

Y/n: What do you mean?

Sally: Even though our kingdom is gone, my family needs me more then anything. That's why I'm stepping down as leader of the Freedom fighters.

Y/n: You can't! Everyone needs you to lead! Especially in this situation! We need you, I need you.

Sally: I know I have been your leader for sometime but now I must step down and focus on my family.

Y/n: But who would lead? Sonic is gone to take care od his family and there isn't anyone else who can lead!

Sally: (smile) There is one.

Y/n realise she is talking to him which he tells her.

Y/n: I don't know if I can.

Sally: (smile) Don't be silly. You've always lead others and even me into situations that is worse and in the end we succeeded. You ended what to thought to be an endless war and saved us multiple times. I know they will listen and I know you'll be a far greater leader then anyone.

She then grab his hand while Y/n ask her.

Y/n: You think I'm capable of being the leader?

Sally: (smile) I know it.

Then the two kissed and after a bit they stop and the two hug each other.

Y/n: Take care of yourself okay?

Sally: I will. And I also wanted you to have Nicole.

Y/n: You sure?

Sally: (smile) Nicole wants to continue to help so I allow her to stay here with you.

Y/n:....Alright. Get some rest okay?

She nodes and Y/n leaves the medical room and then shuts the door behind him. He thinks about it for a moment and sees that Sally is right. He has shown to save the world many times and everyone trusted him. He then looks at the Freedom fighters emblem and knows the time has for the Freedom fighters to die......but a new force of good to rise.

(A day later)

We see everyone gathered at the meeting hall with everyone here. Tails sat in a empty seat where Sonic usually sit and wishes Sonic would be here.

Then Y/n came up on stage and looks at everyone for a moment and then with a deep breath be begins to speak.

Y/n: I know things are bad. Most of the world turns against us, most of our members has left, and our greatest hero's has also left. But do we give up? No. We have been fighting against evil for years, fighting to protect the world from those who wishes to either conquer or destroy. Now our enemies have conror us with no one to help. The Freedom fighters is dead......there is no way to say it but it is true.

Everyone knew it and they allo lowee theie heads but then Y/n tells them.

Y/n: But this isn't the end for us! Although the Freedom fighters maybe dead, we are still here. To those who stayed then I am glad you all did, because you all will witness to a new era. A era of bringing peace and freedom to the world. The world may have betray us but that doesn't mean we abandon them! We no longer call ourselves the Freedom fighters. On this day....we will be known as......The Resistance!

Then two certains open behind him to reveal a new emblem on the wall.

Y/n: This new Emblem will be the new symbol of hope and justice! Eggman may think we are destroyed but we wil rebuild, we will recruit other and in time we will rise and take the fight to Eggman and his empire! On this day, The Resistance stands as a new force of good! A new force that will protects the world! This Sky Patrol will now be our main base for now but soon we will regain trust of the people and we will end Eggman and his empire for good! FOR THE RESISTANCE!!!!

Everyone: FOR THE RESISTANCE!!!

Everyone begins to cheer and clap as Y/n looks at everyone seeing that now everyone is seeing Y/n as the leader od the Resistance and he accepts that. He then rasied his fist as a sign which the rest follow as even though the Freedom fighters is gone.....The Resistance.....is born.
