Rouge thought to herself on who to fuse with, when the obvious choice came to mind.

Why not fuse with Sonic?

How could she forget about Big Blue?

When Rouge thought about Sonic, she realized how similar they were aside from gender and species.

They both loved being free to do what they wanted.

They both liked to taunt and tease Knuckles.

And they loved the thrill of adventure.

It was like looking at a mirror when she made the comparison.

Both of them could go well teaming up together as one person.

Rouge was never up in the speed category, but fusing with Sonic instantly made her the Fastest Thing Alive.

Sure she would have to stop Eggman all the time, but her new life could still take some days to go hunting for jewels.

Sonic could get some good stuff from her too.

Sonic's strategy was most of the time running in and destroying Eggman's army quickly, a plan that eventually fails sometimes.

With Rouge fusing with Sonic, the blue blur could use stealth and destroy Eggman's army before the doctor could realize he was there.

Rouge also laughed at the idea of making Sonic both a girl and making him flirt like her.

It was settled, she was going to become one with the hero of Mobius.

Rouge flew out of the temple and towards Green Hill to find Sonic.

As scheduled, he was making his daily run through the place.

Rouge landed at the end of Green Hill and waited for Sonic to get done with his run.

Once he stopped, Rouge winked at him. "Hi there Sonic~"

Sonic waved at her. "Hey Rouge! What's up?"

Rouge shrugged. "Not much, I just wanted to show you something and see if you wanted to join me."

Sonic grinned. "Heh, Rouge actually wants to do something with me? I don't know if I should be honored or surprised."

Rouge smirked. "Why not both?"

The two laughed for a few minutes before calming down.

Sonic looked at her. "So what is it that you wanted to show me?"

Rouge pulled out the Shimmering Heart for Sonic to see. "This is the Shimmering Heart, a gem that supposedly makes you beautiful."

Sonic chuckled. "Sorry Rouge, but if you're asking to try it out on me, then no thanks."

Rouge giggled. "As much as I'd like to see you as a girl, it doesn't really do that."

Sonic tilted his head. "Really? Then what does it do?"

Rouge pointed at the gem. "This fuses two people into one person to share their looks."

Sonic scratched behind his ear. "Huh? Sounds like when me and Shadow fused to become Shadic once."

Rouge nodded. "A little, but there's a catch."

Sonic looked at the gem. "And that is?"

Rouge put her hand on her hip. "The two people who fuse with this will also merge their memories and personalities. The past will also change to make the fusion part of time."

Sonic looked at her. "You mean whoever uses this will never be them anymore?"

Rouge nodded. "Yes. They'll be reborn as a completely new person, with no memory of who they once were."

Sonic just looked back at the gem again. "So what are you going to do with it?"

Rouge smiled at Sonic. "I wanted to see if you would like to fuse with me?"

Sonic backed away some. "Whoa! I know you like being close to people, but that's too much even for me!"

Rouge shook her head. "I'm not going to force you Sonic, I just wanted to throw the offer out for you since we're friends. I wanted to ask you because I think we'd fit well together and could benefit from each other."

Sonic raised an eyebrow. "Really? How so?"

Rouge gestured to him. "Well first of all, you need to change your plans from just attacking Eggman's base. If I fused with you, you could be stealthy like me and sneak through Eggman's base and destroy it before he knows you were ever there."

Sonic put his hand to his chin. "Good point."

Sonic did need to change his strategy every once in a while in order to keep ahead of the evil scientist.

Sonic looked at her. "What if we become a woman though?"

Rouge smiled. "That would be really help to you actually."

Sonic tilted his head. "How so?"

Rouge gestured a thumb behind her. "You wouldn't have to worry about Amy chasing you everyday."

Rouge held another good point.

If Sonic fused with Rouge and became a girl, Amy wouldn't ever become obsessed with him.

Besides, it wasn't like Amy was ever going to be a lesbian. (Or will she? XD)

And the thought of being a girl was starting to make him curious.

They were quick and agile, which he usually is.

Sonic looked at Rouge. "What do you want from fusing with me?"

Rouge grinned. "Besides being with my friend, I want us to go hunting jewels together as one. Think of all the adventures we could have as one."

Sonic felt curious about the offer.

He loved going on adventures, but it often got boring when the only thing he could do besides running and stopping Eggman was resting.

But fusing with Rouge means he would have more adventures to go on.

And when he thought about it, they would probably still have the rest of their friends too. They just wouldn't remember him and Rouge since they would be a new Mobian.

After several minutes, Sonic looked back at Rouge with his trademark grin. "I'll do it Rouge. Let's become one."

Rouge smiled. "Thanks Sonic~"

Sonic looked at the gem. "So how does this work?"

Rouge shrugged. "How about we put both our hands on it and find out?"

They put a hand on it and nothing happens.

They looked at each other and blushed, before leaning towards each other.

The two met in a kiss as the gem glowed brightly.

The glow covered all of Green Hill while they were making out on the ground.

The two bodies pressed into each other, merging together their features.

Rouge's jumpsuit started morphing around their bodies into new clothes.

Their minds started fusing, mixing their memories together.

Sonic saw all of Rouge's memories as if they were his own.

Stealing jewels from various places.

Teasing Knuckles some at Angel Island.

Going on missions with Shadow.

Sonic loved being a flirty and seductive female treasure hunter.

Sonic also fell in love with Knuckles like Rouge had.

Rouge experienced all of Sonic's memories too.

Defeating Eggman for the first time.

Meeting Tails.

Rescuing Amy.

Racing Shadow.

Rouge loved the running and feeling free.

The light covered the entire area before it faded to reveal the new person born from Rouge and Sonic.

She looked around Green Hill before giggling to herself. "Time for me to find Knuckie~"

The new person dashed of in a blur of light blue.
