Rouge thought to her for a while on who to fuse with, when she came upon a clever idea.

What if she fused with Blaze?

Blaze was the guardian of the Sol Emeralds, something Rouge couldn't get her hands on.

But if she fused with Blaze, they would both be the guardian.

This also meant Rouge would be a princess too, a thought that brought a smile to her face.

The fusion could also benefit Blaze too.

If Rouge could do some tweaking, she could find a way for their fusion to live on Mobius, instead of the other world she came from.

Blaze was always best friends with Cream, so fusing with her could get them to be together more often.

Rouge also smirked at the idea of making Blaze act like her so she could get a boyfriend. A girl like her did deserve someone in her life.

Rouge decided that the first thing to do was to go get Knuckles help with this. Maybe he would have a way to help their fusion exist on Mobius.

Rouge flew out of the temple and towards Angel Island to find Knuckles.

When she got there, he was standing guard as usual.

Knuckles looked over at her. "So how did it go?"

Rouge pulled out the Shimmering Heart for him to see.

Knuckles looked at it in awe. "So the legend is true?"

Rouge nodded. "Yes. And it does make people beautiful, just not the way you think it does."

Knuckles tilted his head. "How then?"

Rouge looked at him. "It's supposed to merge me with whoever I choose to share my looks with."

Knuckles nodded in understanding. "So why did you come here after getting it?"

Rouge pointed at it. "I was wondering if there was a way to affect it's powers so I can fuse with someone from another dimension. I wanted my fusion to exist on this world with the one I'm with."

Knuckles looked at the gem. "And who is this person?"

Rouge smiled some. "Blaze."

Knuckles raised an eyebrow. "Isn't she the guardian of the Sol Emeralds from her dimension? Fusing with her means you're taking away the only one protecting her world."

Rouge shook her head. "I'm going to see if it's possible to move the Sol Emeralds here without causing a rift. And besides, Eggman Nega isn't a threat anymore after Sonic defeated him for good."

Knuckles scratched his head. "Ok...if you say so. I guess I could see if the Master Emerald could give it the power to affect other worlds."

Rouge smiled at him. "Thank you Knuckie."

Knuckles blushed some before he did a chant in front of the ME and spoke. "Master Emerald, I ask that you grant the Shimmering Heart the power to fuse two beings from different worlds!"

The Master Emerald kept glowing brighter and brighter until the light covered the entire island.

The light eventually faded and returned in the ME.

Knuckles looked back at Rouge. "It should be done now."

Rouge came over and kissed Knuckles cheek. "Thanks Knuckie~ I'll try to thank you in my new life later."

Rouge flew off to find Blaze.

She spotted her with Cream having a tea party together.

Cream noticed her and waved. "Hello Ms. Rouge! Would you like to join us for a tea party?"

Rouge smiled at her. "Maybe later Cream, I need to talk with Blaze about something."

Cream nodded as Blaze got up and went to talk with Rouge somewhere.

Blaze looked at Rouge, concerned something was wrong. "What's wrong Rouge? You don't come to me often."

Rouge looked at her. "I was coming here to make an offer with you."

Blaze raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"

Rouge smiled. "I wanted to help you live here in this world so you don't have to feel sad about leaving Cream."

Blaze looked down and sighed. "Sorry Rouge, but that's impossible. My kingdom is in another world and it can't live without a leader. The Sol Emeralds also stay there too, or else it will destroy time and space around us."

Rouge smirked. "What if told you there was a way to live here? That not only you, but also your kingdom and the Sol Emeralds could all exist here without destroying anything."

Blaze looked at her curiously. "And how would you do this?"

"With this hun." Rouge pulled out the Shimmering Heart for Blaze to see.

Blaze's eyes stared at the gem with wonder. "What is that?"

Rouge points at the gem. "This is the Shimmering Heart, a jewel from a temple I just searched that supposedly makes you more beautiful."

Blaze searched Rouge for any difference. "Nothing seems to have changed about you."

Rouge giggled. "It doesn't really change my looks, I'm already beautiful even before finding it."

Rouge then leaned against a tree. "This beauty doesn't change looks, but does something else."

Blaze looked at her with curiosity. "Then what is it?"

Rouge looked at the gem. "This is able to merge two people together to bring out their true self."

Blaze looked at it too. "That's it?"

Rouge nodded. "Yes. It can merge memories and emotions too, as well as change the past to make the fusion part of life."

Blaze looked at her. "So how how is this supposed to help? You want me to just fuse with a random person and never be me again?"

Rouge shook her head. "It will still have parts of you in the fusion, you just have a new identity and personality. And you're not going to fuse with a stranger."

Blaze tilted her head at her. "Then who?"

Rouge smirked at her. "Me."

Blaze backed away from her. "This is your plan to get the Sol Emeralds, isn't it?"

Rouge shook her head. "I doubt I can steal them anyways, since you'll be fused with me. We'd pretty much both be the guardian."

Blaze thought about what she just said. She wasn't wrong, a fusion of them would be protecting the Sol Emeralds together. Rouge could even have her jewel collection moved to the same spot as them so she would have them with the Sol Emeralds.

Blaze looked at the gem and her. "What would you even gain by fusing with me?"

Rouge smiled. "Like I said, I would get to share the Sol Emeralds with you so you can protect them while they're part of my collection. The real question you should be asking is how much you would gain by fusing with me?"

Blaze took more time to think about it.

While it seemed strange at the idea of becoming someone new, she did feel a lot could be gained from it.

Blaze would get to live here with her friends, especially Cream.

There wouldn't be an Eggman Nega around to steal the Sol Emeralds, because Eggman was only interested in the Chaos Emeralds.

Blaze blushed to herself when she also thought of going out with Silver as someone like Rouge.

Blaze looked at Rouge. "I'm in."

Rouge nodded. "Good. I don't know how this really works."

Blaze put her hand on it with Rouge, but nothing happened.

The two looked at each other and blushed for some reason.

They leaned towards each other kissed, causing the Shimmering Heart to glow.

It glowed bright enough to cover the area they were in.

As they continued what they were doing, their bodies pushed into each other's and started merging.

Rouge's jumpsuit started mixing with Blaze's royal clothes to make a new outfit.

Eventually, their minds started merging too, memories swirling around in their new head.

Blaze saw all of Rouge's memories and witnessed them as her own.

Stealing jewels for the first time.

Meeting Knuckles on Angel Island.

Going on missions with Shadow.

Blaze liked being a flirty and seductive  jewel thief.

Rouge experienced all of Blaze's memories too, as if they were her own.

Meeting Cream for the first time.

Going on adventures with Sonic.

Being around Silver.

Rouge also realized she herself had fallen in love with Silver, and wanted to be his girlfriend.

The light grew until it covered the whole world, before immediately dying down into the gem.

The light faded to reveal the person that was born from Rouge and Blaze.

The person checked herself before flying up to the treetops to get a better view.

She saw what was originally Blaze's kingdom had appeared, as well as all the Sol Emeralds.

She smiled. "My kingdom looks as magnificent as always."

She then smirked to herself. "Now I just need to go find my king~"

The new being took off to go find the one she loves with all her heart.
