The next day, at the Resistance HQ, the main Resistance members are sitting around, talking to each other. Y/N watches the screen for a while along with Zero. After cleaning up the mess Eggman has made, it was not too long ago that Zero's secret was revealed as he was actually Infinite not surprisingly by Shadow. Let's just say everyone did not take it well and were about to finish him off when Y/N, Sonic, and surprisingly Gadget and his other two friends defended him that he helped them defeat the Death Egg Robot. Without him, they wouldn't be able to survive and save the world.

They told them that Zero had proved enough loyalty by helping them out with the mess he made as well as the people he had hurt. He never did any funny business. At first they didn't trust him, but after a while people begin to be nice to him one by one, except for Shadow. Y/N had at least convinced him to give Zero a second chance. He eventually give him and their conversations were a little awkward as they just gave each other a glare or insults. Y/N had to always intervene to stop them from making things worse and just told them to get along whether they like it or not and no fights.

Knuckles then enters the room.

"Finally, an end to this endless battle. Everyone can go back home and relax. There's no need for the Resistance."

Silver hops down from the crate he was sitting on.

"Hold on, there's still a lot we need to do. We're just getting started."

Knuckles nods. Y/N turns around to Knuckles.

"Hey, Knuckles. I think it's time that I need to go home..."

Zero looks at Y/N sadly.

"What? You're leaving us? There are others who need your help? But OK, I'm not gonna stop you." Knuckles said, frowning that he's going to miss her.

"Man, the first time I saw you stumbling around, I had no idea you could pull this thing together and see it to the end."

Vector pats Y/N's back.

"I've changed my mind about you."

Y/N gave him a deadpan.

"Really?"

"I knew you'd come through, rookie. Well, I guess you're not a rookie anymore!"

"Nope. And please call me Y/N. Rookie sounds a bit odd."

Knuckles nodded. Rouge pushes Knuckles to one side.

"You did good out there. It's not like you just waited till the last minute to come in and act all cool saving the day."

Realizing Rouge is talking about him, Omega extends his hand outwards in her direction while she winks at him. Shadow, leaning against a few crates, raises his head slightly and grunts. He secretly glances at Y/N and blushes. He's sure going to miss her too.

"Our battle is done and our resistance has come to a conclusion, but we'll be friends forever. A single person cannot restore the entire world. We have to work together and make a diligent effort!" Tails said.

"Yeah!"

The Resistance nod in agreement. Zero looks at Y/N again.

Y/N and Tails are outside the city where the sunset is. Y/N had a watch around her wrist as Tails activate it.

"Here it goes!"

Her watch beeped and then the portal was opened in front of them.

"It worked!" Tails cheered.

"Wow! It did! I knew you can do it! Thank you so much, Tails!"

Y/N leaned down and kissed Tails' forehead, causing his face to turn red.

"Heh heh! Well... I'll see you later. Goodbye, Y/N."

"Goodbye, Tails."

Tails walked away. Y/N looks back at the portal and was about to come forward when someone called her.

"Y/N."

She turned to see Zero.

"Hey, Zero."

He walks up to her.

"I guess this is goodbye then."

"Yeah..." Y/N said. "Tell Gadget and the other two that I will miss them."

"I'll tell 'em that."

"Oh, and before I forget, I think you might need this."

Y/N brought out the familiar red sword with a blue handle.

"M-My sword." Zero said in surprise, taking it from her.

"I somehow find it lying on the ground or something just magically appeared. But I had a feeling it was yours."

"Thanks. Since you gave me this, I have something for you too."

Zero took out a blue teardrop gem that match his right blue eye.

"I kept it close for me to one day find someone that means everything to me."

"Whoa... It's beautiful, but I can't take it. It's yours." She gasped in awe.

"No, it's fine. Take it. For some stroke of luck."

Y/N then took the gem from Zero. She smiled at him and hugged him.

"I'm sure you'll do good in this world. Remember what I said."

Zero hugged back.

"Yeah, yeah."

"See you later, Zero."

"See you, Y/N."

Y/N let go of him and walked over to the portal when she stopped.

"Oh, and by the way. This form you're looking at right now isn't the real me."

"Really? What do you really look like then?" Zero curiously asked, thinking she might look even more pretty.

Y/N smirked playfully.

"You'll find out soon. If anything goes wrong, just go and ask Tails and he'll help you find a way for you to visit in my dimension. Maybe someday I'll come visit as well."

He blush a little and then smile again. Zero turn around and wave, walking away.

"Sure. Until we meet again."

Y/N nodded and looked at the gem in her hand and hid it in her pocket. She notices Sonic is overlooking the city and approaches him and stands by his side, looking out the sunset together.

"Hey, you're taking off, too?"

"Yeah."

"I was thinking the same thing. You gonna keep moving forward? No matter what, yeah? Heh, you and I aren't so different. Never knew I would have a sister like you. Wish I had one in this world."

Y/N nods in agreement.

"See ya later, sis!"

Sonic and Y/N grin before fist bumping. Sonic then runs off while giving Y/N a thumbs up.

"Bye Sonic bro! See you!"

Y/N waves back and sets off in the other direction with her grappling hook, heading towards the portal.

Y/N sighs in happiness that she's finally heading home. She's back in the cube glitchy area where the portal have took her and how it all started when she was brought here. Just then her body started to change and she closed her eyes. Once she opened them, she's back to her original self and her crystal necklace around her neck is here and visible. She check to see her weapons here as well. Y/N also noticed her clothes from another dimension is still here. Looks like she's keeping this outfit. She then checked to see the blue teardrop gem is kept safe. That's a relief.

"Ah... How I miss this." Y/N smiled, hugging herself.

Back in Y/N's dimension, the portal opened right in front of Sonic and others.

"Guys! The portal is reacting!" Tails gasped in excitement. "Something's coming through!"

"Could it be...?" Shadow asked in hope.

"Is it her...?" Knuckles asked.

"She better be." Jet said, moving away from the wall he was leaning on.

"Wait! I think I see something!" Cream said.

"I think I see it too!" Sally said.

The portal revealed Y/N as she stood out proudly. They noticed that she's wearing a different outfit that made the certain love interests speechless at how beautiful and hot she looked. Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Rouge, Silver, Blaze, and Jet all blush at the same time. Sonic intervened, not wanting them to gawk at his sister any longer.

"Sis! You're okay!!"

Sonic runs and hugs Y/N tightly.

"Sonic... Can't breath..."

"Heh... Sorry."

Sonic let go as Y/N look on to her friends with a relieved smile. She's finally home.

"Hey, everyone. It feels good to be home. You have no idea what kind of adventure I've been on. I even met some new friends I have made."

"You can tell us later. All that matters now is that you're back." Sally smiled, hugging her as everyone else joined in.

"You've got some explaining to do, Y/N! You had us worried! We even have to deal with Sonic's trauma." Amy said with a pout, making Y/N look at her brother who smile in embarrassment.

Rouge gave Y/N a big kiss on the cheek, making Y/N yelp in surprise. She then pulled away before Y/N could push her away. This left a lipstick on it.

"That's just to show you how much I miss you, cutie."

Y/N blushed, looking away while smiling a little that she does miss her as well.

"Where were you when you were taken away?" Blaze asked.

"Let's just say they needed my help." Y/N said.

"I'm guessing it has something to do with the future." Silver said with a smile.

"Yep."

"They were fortunate to get your help, then." Shadow said with a small smile.

"You sure look like you had some fun." Jet said, grinning.

Y/N chuckled.

"Thanks."

She looked down at the blue teardrop gem, knowing she will never forget about Zero the Jackal as well as Gadget the Wolf and everyone else from another dimension that called themselves the Resistance.
