In the Resistance HQ where Amy, Silver, Charmy, and Espio are as Vector walked inside from the sliding door who looked like he had a headache.

"Eggman's army is unstoppable! Without Sonic, the people are losing hope and giving into despair."

"Despair is a luxury we don't have." Silver spoke up.

"I still dream that Sonic is with us." Amy said, putting her right hand over her chest. "Do you think he might be--"

"I'm an optimist, but I'm also a realist. Sonic is gone, Amy. And Tails is... Tails has just lost it." Silver said with sadness in his voice.

This made everyone sad that everything in their world has changed.

"If we're going to win we have to do it without them."

"Silver is right." Espio steps in, walking closer to the table and placing his palms on it. "We've been hoping for a miracle these past six months, but I'm afraid we have to make our own miracle."

"Eggman's army has everyone terrified. If we want the people to rally, we have to show them that strength doesn't come from numbers."

"Not everyone is terrified." Charmy said who's flying in the air. "Isn't a new recruit joining us today?"

"Yes, a survivor from the city, right?" Silver answered.

"I'm accessing the file now..." Amy said, looking through the computer and setting her finger tips on the keyboard in front of her.

The file showed the picture of Y/N. But for some reason, they knew her from somewhere. Their minds are fuzzy for a bit. Silver had a feeling that this person is not from here. Just then, Knuckles walks in, making everyone turn to him.

"Knuckles! What's the sitrep, Commander?" Silver asked.

"Happy to see you're all still alive." Knuckles said. "Eggman's forces have chewed through our defenses at Green Hill, and the resistance in the city is reporting that whatever it is that finished Sonic... Sorry, I'm still not used to saying that."

Behind the sliding door, Y/N was beyond shocked and in disbelief that her brother is gone.

"I-It can't be... There's no way... How can this be?"

"Whatever it is has got them running in fear." Knuckles continued.

The sliding door then opened to reveal Y/N as she walked in still shocked about her brother's 'death'.

"All except for this brave kid, who survived the battle and made it here in one piece. Meet our newest recruit."

Knuckles patted her back rather roughly, making her almost fall over. She gave him a quick glare and looked at everyone she know. Charmy flew over, examining her.

"Hmm, doesn't look like much."

"Excuse you? Are you looking down on me?" Y/N glared at him, making him flinch and shake his head.

"Neither do you, Charmy, but I still manage to find a use for your pointy butt!" Knuckles said, defending her.

"Teehee." Charmy giggled.

"Thanks, Knuckles."

"Here, kid. Take this." Knuckles handed her the red gun called the Burst Wispon. "We're depending on you."

"Thanks. And I have a name. It's Y/N."

Knuckles nodded and blushed a little liking that name as well as Silver and Espio who are blushing. Knuckles shook his head and turned to the group.

"Okay, let's get going, everybody! The world's not gonna save itself!!"

Everyone agreed with a cheer.

Y/N leaned against the wall, thinking.

"This universe is nothing like mine. I guess the world can be different depending on the timeline. But everyone that I know are... different in their normal way. I mean, they're kinda the same people. This is so weird."

She looked at herself, knowing what happened in the portal must have somehow changed her appearance as she wondered why it did that and why did it bring her here for. Just then Knuckles came in with a biggest smile on his face she had ever seen.

"I've just received some incredible news! Sonic is alive!"

"What?!" Y/N shot up in surprise.

"No way! That's excellent!" Silver exclaimed with a bright smile on his face, sounding relieved.

"What?! Oh, thank goodness! I knew it. I knew it!" Amy excitedly said.

Y/N sighed in relief that Sonic is okay.

"He's captured in the orbiting prison. My spy there says he's in a solitary confinement cell, and they've been torturing him for months." Knuckles told them.

"That's horrible! We have to rescue him!" Amy said, horrified.

"Indeed!" Y/N nodded in agreement.

"Plan's already happening, Amy. I've got a squad on the way to the Space Port in the Chemical Plant to 'borrow' a shuttle. C'mon, guys! Who's up for an old-school style jailbreak?"

"Count me in!" Y/N said and looked at her clothes. "As soon as I change this outfit. This doesn't suit me."

"There's a changing room over there. I bet you there will be some clothes that you like." Amy pointed to the direction.

"Thanks, Amy."

Y/N walked in as everyone went back to their conversation.

"Say, does everyone had a feeling like we know Y/N from somewhere?" Silver asked.

"Yeah, I thought I remember her... Though I can't put my finger on it..." Amy said, rubbing the back of her head.

"We'll talk about that later." Knuckles said.

"I'm ready!"

Everyone turned to see her in a black jumpsuit with white skull in the middle, white knee caps, black fingerless gloves, dark grey shoes, and infrared scope attached to her left eye. (Picture on top) Knuckles, Silver, and Espio couldn't help but find her rather pretty and hot in that outfit.

Y/N arrived at the Chemical Plant Spaceport as she ran through the pipes and hooked onto the roof with her wrist-mounted grappling hook and swung over to where the robots are standing. Espio's voice can be heard over her radio.

"Espio here. My team's engaging the enemy in the orbital tunnel! I think we can hold them off for now. No, wait! Watch out! The masked one's here! The monster that took down Sonic!"

"The jackal guy?!" Y/N yelled in shock, remembering him as she took down the robots.

"Stay focused, Y/N! We're off to find a shuttle!" Vector said.

"Looks like I'm on my own. That's fine. I can do this."

Y/N then swiftly finished the robots off using her wispon.

"Woah! This is awesome!"

She continued moving forward as she destroyed some more robots with her flaming wispon and swung through until she ran up around the circle road that made her go up like Sonic would do and went down.

"Hey, that looks like a freight train!" Vector said through the radio again.

"It's carrying supplies. I don't think it's armed or anything." Amy told her.

Y/N leapt off the building and used her grappling hook from her wrist again and landed clumsily on the train. She almost fall off, but she held on tightly with one hand and climbed back up. She looked ahead to see the hole that the train was going through is small and it won't fit her. Y/N quickly activated her grappling hook and shot up in the air thanks to her quick reflex as she almost got run over by another train.

She then used her grappling hook to get her to land as she shot it perfectly and made it to the ground. She went back to destroying more robots by burning them with her wispon again that are in her way, making her satisfied as explosions was heard.

"Let's head in while Espio keeps them busy!" Silver spoke.

"I hope Espio is okay." Y/N thought.

"We need a shuttle to get to Sonic in time." Knuckles informed.

"All quiet at the launch pad for now. Grab a shuttle before they sound the alert!" Amy said.

Y/N cheered as she flew in the air with a flip, aided by the wrist-mounted grabbling hook, and landed on the rails as she remembered skate boarding in her days. She still got it as she didn't lose her balance.

"Perfect. They won't mind if we borrow this for a while." Vector spoke.

"Hurry it up, Y/N!" Knuckles urged. "Get outta there as soon as everyone's aboard. Step on it!"

"I'm going as fast as I can, Knuckles!" Y/N yelled at him. "I'm trying to focus here!"

She then arrived on the spot where she was supposed to be. Y/N took a deep breath, feeling a rush she had gone through like she's already fast as Sonic.

"That was fun..."

Y/N looked through the space as she remembered going to Space ARK when Shadow took her in during the Chaos Emerald hunt at Prison Island and a fight with Sonic she was forced to. Those memories were good. Just then, her communicator beeped on her wrist and checked it.

"Knuckles. Can you hear me?" the familiar seductive voice said.

"Rouge?!" Y/N exclaimed in shock.

"Rouge! Ah, it's about time!" Knuckles said.

"I can't believe she's here and she's helping us fight Eggman. That's good!" Y/N smiled.

"How's Sonic doing?"

"He's been better. They're getting ready to banish him into space." Rouge answered, making Y/N gasp.

"What?! You can't be serious!" Silver exclaimed in disbelief with wide eyes.

"Eggman's been keeping Sonic alive all this time. He's been waiting to show his completed empire before banishing him." Rouge informed.

"And torturing Sonic just to pass the time. That's low, even for Eggman." Knuckles said in low tone.

"He's taking too far already..." Y/N mumbled, angrily clenching her fist.

"Eggman got wind of our rescue plan, and is moving forward with his plan ahead of schedule. The clock is ticking, boss." Rouge urged.

"But we don't even know where he's being held captive!" Amy spoke.

"Yes we do! Eggman rebuilt the Death Egg. That's where he's keeping Sonic." Rouge told her.

"The Death Egg?!" Vector and Y/N exclaimed at the same time.

"Aw man! That's not good!" Vector continued.

"None of this is good, Vector. That's why it's called 'war.' You all know what to do. Let's go get Sonic!" Knuckles spoke.

Y/N ran through the Death Egg Prison Hall she arrived in as Knuckles voice was heard.

"Listen up, Y/N. Our other forces are busy dealing with enemies. It looks like you took a best route. It's up to you to save Sonic now, find him!"

Y/N went through the halls and destroyed some robots and made it down the stairs as she easily slide through.

"The prisoners are being held in a kind of internment facility." Rouge added. "Sonic is probably there, too. Security is tight, so stay on your toes."

"I don't see anything." Y/N said, destroying the robots with her Lightning Wispon she got earlier.

"Nothing in this room, either." Silver spoke.

"Man! We're still trying to fight our way out. They've got us pinned down!" Vector said.

Y/N went down the platform as it elevated her down and jumped up and took down more robots and elevated down again and went up.

"Looks like this place was used up until recently." Vector added.

"It appears that many of our brethren were held here." Espio said.

"That's one thing Eggman will answer for." Silver said.

Y/N went through the same thing she did earlier until she made it where she can run through. Alarms was heard, making her tense.

"Uh-oh. They're on high alert now." Rouge said.

"I sense Sonic's presence. He's close!" Espio said.

This made Y/N happy as she zigzagged through every platform that had no floor while dodging lasers from the flying robot. She eventually made it. But she then stopped as she was suddenly ambushed by three Egg Pawns that corner her on the side of the catwalk leading to the shuttle launch bay. Before they have a chance to attack her, Sonic arrives and easily destroys them, saving Y/N.

Sonic landed in front her.

"Sonic!"

"Easy there! Everything's cool!" he said, offering her a hand.

Y/N took it as he helped her up.

"Are you here to rescue me?"

"Yeah." Y/N nodded.

"Can't tell you how much I appreciate it. It's been a while since I've seen a friendly face." Sonic said with a grateful smile.

Y/N smiled brightly that her brother is good and okay.

"Hey Y/N, you still in one piece?" Knuckles asked over the radio as Y/N raised it to her ear.

"Oh, sure, don't even bother to ask how I am." Sonic said sarcastically, crossing his arms still smiling.

"Sonic! I'm so glad!" Amy exclaimed over the radio.

"Amy?" Sonic questioned, shocked to hear her voice.

"Hold up, Amy. We're all happy Sonic is alive! But he won't be for long if he doesn't get off that egg in a hurry." Knuckles told Amy.

Sonic looked at Y/N as Knuckles spoke.

"Is there an exit around here?"

"Over there." Y/N answered, pointing to a nearby Eggman Fleet shuttle preparing to depart the Death Egg's hangar on a turntable.

"Your concern is touching, Knuckles."

Sonic runs on ahead as Y/N reaches out after him with a surprised gasp.

"Hey, Sonic! Wait up!"

She ran after him. Sonic and Y/N board the stolen shuttle and escape the Death Egg.
