Sonic X Evil!Reader (Bad Ending)
"How does it feel Sonic, to know that you're about to die, because you were too scared, too selfish to help me..."
The hedgehog groaned, trying to keep his eyes open. The pain was a throbbing nightmare, and he wondered how he'd get out of this alive. If that was even an option now.
"How does it feel to know you led me down this path? You terrified me, made me want to be stronger for the day this finally happened, made me prepare myself. The people I killed... It got easier to take their powers you know, just thinking that I could be killed was enough for me to kill. How does that make you feel?"
The (a/t) was floating over him now, her hands were glowing red, one held at his chest. She really was going to kill him, right here and now. The hedgehog tried to move, to think of anything.
"W-Wait..." He coughed, hoping to stall her, maybe someone will come and help him. He knows he told the others to stay put in their secret HQ, but maybe they followed him, and would attack the (a/t) before she finished him off.
"What?" (Y/N) lowered her hand slightly, her eyes were dull, there was no more emotion, no remorse. Her tears stained her cheeks, the only sign she had any emotions left.
"How many...?" Sonic tried to sit up, but she stepped on his chest. Pain erupted through his body and he grunted loudly. What had she done to him?
"How many what? Murders?" The (a/t) huffed, leaning on her leg. The pressure in his chest grew, the pain seeming to crush him.
"Innocent..."
"Oh yes, how many innocent people did I kill?" (Y/N) chuckled dryly, "Such little faith in me. I shouldn't be surprised."
She stepped back, and the blue blur was able to get his breath back. He gasped, holding a bloodied hand over his chest as she walked around him.
"How many innocent people..." The girl thought out loud, rubbing her chin, "Maybe... None."
"None...?" Sonic raised his gaze, watching her stalk around him, "That sounds like a blatant lie."
"I bet it does." The (a/t) stated coldly, "But surprisingly Sonic, I left the innocent alone. The only innocent Mobians that died were the ones that got in my way when I destroyed the town. I couldn't help they were there really, although had they been smarter, they would have survived. But for my powers?"
She shook her head, "I killed villains for their powers, Infinite was one of them but I'm sure you figured that out quickly. Of course I've done you a huge favour, I've gotten rid of so many enemies."
"And created... Another..." Sonic coughed, slowly getting up. The (a/t) didn't stop him this time, simply watching with amusement, "You've killed so many people... For what, revenge?"
"Oh please." (Y/N) rolled her eyes, "I simply grew bored in that room I had locked myself in. It just so happens that I also want your speed, I also want to see the life drain from your eyes as I kill you for abandoning me."
She sent a spear of energy his way, and the hedgehog barely managed to dodge it in time. He jumped over it, landing on his hands and knees. His body felt like it was on fire, moving only seemed to make it worse.
"Okay, so maybe it is revenge, but can you blame me?" (Y/N) walked over to him, running a hand through his quills, "I hate backstabbers, and I hate people leaving those in need. Some hero you are, you don't help everyone you come across. You've left some to rot in their own hell, left them to find their own way knowing full well they can't."
Sonic yelped as she lifted him by the quills, her hand morphed into claws and she held them over his throat, his eyes were wide, how was he going to get out of this? His ear twitched as she leant against it, letting out an almost satisfied sigh,
"If only you were there..." She mumbled, "But who am I to judge what you do? I'm just a murderer right?"
"W-Wait-!" Sonic tried to stop her, to find something to say, to apologise. But it happened in seconds. Her claws ripped through his neck, spilling blood everywhere. The hedgehog's yell became gurgled as he struggled against her, grabbing at her blood soaked arm.
But she didn't let go, instead she held him tightly, gripping his quills tightly so his head was pulled back. He started to turn pale as he bled out, tears fell down his muzzle as his bright emerald eyes caught onto her (e/c) ones.
The (a/t) felt a slight pang in her chest, however ignored it, instead only glaring at the hedgehog as his struggling grew weaker.
"You did this to me..." She whispered in his ear as he went still. The hedgehog let out one last choked sob, before he fell limp against her, emerald eyes staring up at the (a/t) in a dull gaze.
(Y/N) huffed, before laying him down. Finally, she had gotten what she wanted. She pressed her hand to his chest, feeling a surge of power rush through her, and she let out a cry at the pain it brought. But she knew the next part would only be worse. The curse of taking people's powers is, you learn all about them, seeing their lives before their final demise. The (a/t) didn't want to see Sonic's, but it was out of her control.
Memories flooded her mind, glimpses of the hedgehog and herself as children, playing and having fun. The accident that led him to leave her, the years of him thinking about her, wondering if she was okay and if he had done the right thing.
His memories seemed to bring more pain as the (a/t) watched him turn down another hedgehog, wondering if he could ever forgive himself for ditching his friend when he knew she needed him. Having nightmares of the incident, and wanting to call her, to make sure she didn't have them as well.
Finally, the moments before the battle, the feeling of guilt that settled in his stomach as he told his friends to stay behind, that he had to sort this out himself. The looks on their faces, they didn't know what he had done, why he had to go alone. What would he do when he got there?
He wanted to apologise, but he knew it was too late. He still wanted to save Tails, so maybe he can give her what she wants and save everyone. It's the least he could do.
The battle, hearing her side of the story, finally realising his mistake. The heartbreak he felt when he saw her cry, saw her snap. The impending fear as she lifted him up one last time, how he wanted to apologise before he died, but he was too slow.
The memories finally faded, and the (a/t) stared down at him. Tears rolled down her cheeks once again, but she growled to herself, standing slowly. If he had so much regret, he should have tried to fix the problem instead of running from it.
He was always good at running away from things.
(Y/N) wiped her muzzle, furious that she would cry over such a pathetic hero. A coward. Why would she cry over the one that abandoned her all those years ago?
She growled again. No way would the (a/t) grow soft now. No way would her walls break so easily. She had just won, now she could do whatever she wanted.
(Y/N) smiled evilly to herself, the ideas that ran through her mind would make even Eggman cower. In fact, she heard he was planning to attack Station Square tonight, what a surprise he will get. As the (a/t) ascended to plan out her attack on the evil scientist, she heard Tails scream Sonic's name.
Her smile never disappeared, even as her last remaining tears for her old friend fell.
