Silver X Amnesiac!Reader (Part 2)

THIS IS 9 PAGES LONG GUYS. I LOVE IT. ENJOY

"What do you want?" Shadow asked, he was getting ready to go out on a mission for G.U.N. The hedgehog looked annoyed to have Silver in the locker-room, the futuristic hedgehog clearly too dim to realise women shouldn't be in here with them.

"I need your help." Silver said, ignoring the glare he got from the other.

"I'm a bit busy at the moment, can it wait?"

"This girl lost her memories, and we're trying to find a way to get them back. It might affect the possible future, which means death for everyone."

Shadow paused for a moment, holstering a gun to his side and turning his ruby red gaze to the girl,

"What's your name?" He asked.

"(Y/N)." The (a/t) said, her hands behind her back sheepishly.

"(Y/N)... I do recall hearing that name somewhere." Shadow said, scratching his ear, "If you want, I could check G.U.N records and see if she is an agent here."

"Would you?" Silver smiled, his tail wagging in excitement, "Thanks Shadow! When will you have the time to get it?"

"After my mission." The hedgehog said, before turning and walking away, "Meet me at Club Rouge, I won't be long."

~~~
(Y/N) hadn't remembered anything from her visit to G.U.N headquarters; or anything from the city. She really tried to imagine anything that may have happened here, but when she does, she comes up blank. It was getting frustrating, especially when Rouge appeared and the (a/t) felt a sort of attachment like family.
"Wow, that sounds intense hun." The bat said, currently cleaning glasses for later that night, "Losing all memory, only to remember something that the other person doesn't. Is there anything else you may have remembered?"
"I... Don't know..." The girl said, rubbing her arm. She felt useless, bringing up the feeling that she was close to this bat seemed silly, especially considering she had to introduce herself when they arrived.
Why did it feel like she knew everyone, but they didn't know her?
Silver seemed to notice that something was wrong, however, and when Rouge walked away, he lightly bumped the (a/t)'s shoulder,
"What's the matter?" He asked quietly, assuming the girl didn't want to say it out loud.
She shrugged, not sure if telling him would help at all. She felt almost embarrassed to be here, and started to weigh her options. So far, the two had gotten practically nowhere, and everything that felt familiar clearly wasn't. (Y/N)'s ears lowered, and she looked around the brightly lit bar, before taking a deep breath,
"I just need some time by myself." She said, before standing and walking outside.
"Oh... Okay..." Silver said, watching her leave. He frowned, wondering what could be bothering her right now. He came up with a few options, the fact that she hardly remembered anything was the most likely answer.
"She seems nice." Rouge walked back over, placing a glass under the bar, "I feel terrible for her; losing your memory really takes it's toll."
"I figured." Silver sighed, leaning on both hands, "I just don't know what to do, we got one memory back, but everything else seems to be coming up dead. She remembers fighting next to Sonic, but he doesn't recall ever meeting her. Shadow recognised her name, but he didn't know her either."
"It is definitely strange." Rouge said, putting a hand on her hip, "I can't lie, I do feel like I know the girl, but I really can't think of how."
"You do...?" The hedgehog raised his head, "You think you may know her?"
"Yes, but it's no help Silver. I feel a connection with her, but I have no idea who she is."
"O-Oh..." The hedgehog's ears flopped forward, "This is useless, how are we going to help her?"
"Well Shadow should be done with his mission soon, I'm sure he'll find answers." The bat gave the hedgehog a warm smile, setting a hand on his arm, "And if he doesn't, I know you won't give up. I admire you for even trying. She's a complete stranger, at least we knew Shadow when he lost his memories. You're already doing better than I could ever be. She's lucky to have found you."
"Yeah, but Sonic would have done the same thing too." Silver shrugged.
"I don't know, he didn't really jump to helping you today, did he?"
"No, but he was recovering from a fight."
"A fight? You mean the one that took place a few days ago?" The bat asked, "Gosh, he really is a baby. Everyone else had moved on from that by now."
Silver raised his gaze to the other Mobian, tilting his head curiously, "What happened anyway?"
"I don't know, I wasn't there. All I remember was a bright white light covering the city, and then nothing. Everyone went back to their daily business. That's something you'd have to ask Sonic about, or Shadow; he was there too."
As Rouge said that, the door burst open, and Shadow stormed in dragging a petrified (a/t) behind him. A look of rage had taken over his face as he threw the girl to the ground. She yelped, curling up as the hedgehog walked past her and slammed a folder onto the bar.
"Shadow!" Silver yelled, before jumping down next to (Y/N), "What the heck?!"
"She's a no good villain." Shadow said, before nodding to Rouge. The bat nodded back, before pouring a glass of alcohol and handing it to him, her cyan eyes staring at the folder.
"A villain?" She asked, before flipping the folder open. Silver glanced at (Y/N), who looked helpless as she fought back tears. No. It can't be. The innocent look in her eyes, the way she was shaking, she was terrified right now; there was no way this kind person could have ever been evil.
"Oh my..." Rouge said, "Silver... You should read this."
The hedgehog lifted his head, before taking a seat next to Shadow and reading the document. His eyes widened in horror as he read the pages. Documents of her crimes, how she worked with Eggman to fight against the Freedom Fighters, how she had disappeared after the most recent fight.
There was a photo of her as well, of her smiling and looking away from the camera; Rouge touched the photo lightly, recognition flashed across her face before she shook her head and went back to cleaning. The (a/t) got to her feet slowly, holding her damaged arm as she stared at the documents; her (e/c) eyes scanned over the paper, and she started shaking her head.
"N-No... This can't be true... I don't remember-"
"You remember fighting beside Sonic." Shadow said, drinking the alcohol in one gulp, "But perhaps you were fighting against him."
"You did say you knew how he got his wounds..." Rouge noted, a look of hurt in her eyes, like she didn't want to believe it, "I'm sorry hun..."
"No- But-"
"I should lock you up now." Shadow put the glass down, before standing and grabbing a pair of handcuffs from his quills, "Save everyone the trouble."
"Wait!" Silver jumped in front of the girl, a hand out to protect her, "Shadow, what happened at the fight a few days ago?"
"What does it matter? She was clearly there, and the records say she's evil."
"No, I don't believe it. Tell me what happened."
The darker hedgehog studied the other for a bit, Silver only stared back, a look of determination and desperation in his eyes. Shadow sighed, before sitting down once again.
"Fine... Eggman had attacked the city once again, the usual." He said, cupping his chin in his hand, "He had robots, lasers, the works. It took everyone in the Freedom Fighters, and then some, to fight back. I don't remember a lot, but I do remember that Eggman had managed to get a hold of six of the chaos emeralds; he couldn't find the purple one."
"I have it." Silver said, before sending a glare Shadow's way, "It's my ticket home, keep your hands away."
He shrugged, "Whatever, anyway he couldn't quiet get them all to work. But he did manage to find another power source to merge with the emeralds. He tried to use Chaos Control, and the entire city was enveloped in white light. I don't remember what happened after that, but we won the fight."
"See?" Rouge said, "Bright flash of light."
"Hm... So Eggman was at the fight to?" Silver asked, staring at Shadow, "The documents said (Y/N) worked with him, and she remembers the fight. Maybe Eggman knows her."
"Most likely." Shadow shrugged, "I'll let you go find answers for now. But I want her brought back here once you're done. She's a criminal that needs to be put away."
"I don't believe that." The lighter hedgehog shook his head, "I'll prove it to you if I have to. I think something here is wrong."
"Whatever." Shadow said, before he stood and gave Rouge another nod. He left without another word, the doors of the bar swinging behind him.
"Wh-What now...?" (Y/N) asked, her eyes glued to the entrance of the bar.
"Now? We prove your innocence." Silver said, a flare lighting his eyes.
~~~

"Eggman!"

The two Mobians were currently standing outside of one of Eggman's many evil lairs. The tall metallic building gave off a shine, which struck a cord in (Y/N)'s chest, she felt terrified of this place, yet wasn't sure why. Silver was standing next to her, waiting for any signs that the building was habited.

It stood silently, nothing happening while the two waiting out the front. Usually guns would be blazing and missiles would be launched if anyone ever got near the base. Maybe Eggman had moved to another location? That would be problematic. Silver growled to himself, there was no way they could be this unlucky. How could everyone recognise (Y/N), but not remember she was evil?

"It's no use..." The (a/t) mumbled next to him, her ears flopping forward, "I'll never get any answers."

"Don't say that." Silver almost snapped at the girl, feeling the weight of this words, "I'm not giving up that easily. He has to be here."

The girl glanced at the hedgehog as a turquoise aura surrounded him, and he floated up to the large metal door. The same coloured aura then surrounded the entrance, and Silver grit his teeth as he clenched his hands, causing the metal to crunch under his telekinesis. (Y/N) blinked in surprise, having not seeing his powers yet, she was surprised such a kind hedgehog was so strong.

He came back to her side, staring into the doors of the large laboratory, before taking her arm and leading her inside,

"Stay close, there could be traps." He said.

The girl stumbled after him, keeping close as they hurried through. The determination in his eyes made her almost smile, so thankful to have come across him over anyone else. She did her best not to get distracted by the thought that he stopped whatever he was doing to save her, he teleported back in time to help her. Silver has gone out of his way for her.

She shook her head, the sudden sound of alarms blaring bringing her from her thoughts as the hedgehog jumped over an exploding missile. She followed suit, covering her eyes from the debris that flew out below them.

An image flashed through her mind, an explosion similar to this, but in a green field; many Mobians surrounded her, and she was pushing a yellow fox out of the way of the bomb. She was saving Tails? But they said she was a villain; why would she be saving the fox if she was evil? The two landed and the (a/t)'s legs gave way below her, causing her to fall. Silver, being unprepared for the sudden weight, swooped down to catch her as the girl gripped onto her head.

"(Y/N)? What's wrong?" He asked, trying to see if she was okay, while also keeping an eye out for any wildfire. The girl didn't move, stuck in a trance as she watched the scene play out.

Once the (a/t) had tackled the fox, a shield appeared from her arm and she held it up in front of them. Tails looked up at her with a smile, thanking her for saving him, before he took off into the air to continue fighting. (Y/N) watched him run, feeling a smile spread on her muzzle, before Sonic appeared at her side.

"Yo, that was close." He said, a smirk on his face, "Think we can end this?"

"You bet we can." The (a/t) gave him a thumbs up, folding the shield away on her arm, "The winner gets to choose dinner tonight?"

"Chilidogs it is then." The blue hedgehog rubbed under his nose, "It's a deal."

"Whatever." She rolled her eyes, before turning to the large robot that floated above them, "But I'm totally choosing chicken kievs."

"You're on!"

"(Y/N)?" Silver shook her shoulder, and the girl's eyes blinked open, "What happened?"

"I... I remembered something..." The girl said, before taking in their surroundings. They were currently being protected by a turquoise ball, missiles and bullets bouncing off the outside.

"You're remembering?" The hedgehog smiled, "What was it? Was it important?"

"I was fighting with Sonic and Tails." The (a/t) said, "Against a robot."

"Fighting with...? Against a robot..." Silver thought to himself, "I knew it! I knew you couldn't be bad!"

"But... Then what was the file? And why does no one remember me?"

"I'm sure Eggman has the answers. This whole thing reeks of bad eggs." The hedgehog said, before helping the (a/t) stand, "Right, lets get to the bottom of this."

Once he knew (Y/N) was okay, the shield around them dissipated and they took off into the air. Silver held the (a/t) close as he flew through the building, deflecting anything that came at them and bursting through any obstacle that got in their way. It didn't take long for them to find Eggman's main headquarters, where two robots were clearly manning the station.

The circular red bot looked up, jumping in surprise before tugging on the squared yellow bot and pulling him out of the room. The door closed and locked behind them, but Silver ignored them and hurried to the large computer that sat against the wall. (Y/N)'s (e/c) eyes scanned over the large screen as the hedgehog started typing into the keyboard.

It didn't take long for the futuristic telekinetic to hack into the system, grateful their enemy had a large ego. He read through each folder, taking in all the specific names of the documents to try and find anything that could help them. The (a/t) next to him was watching as well, her eyes moving quickly across the screen.

The door behind them opened, and (Y/N) turned to see a large, strangely shaped human walk into the room; he wore light pink pyjamas with a sleeping cap, his large bushy moustache stuck out all over the place as he shuffled into the room. The man let out a yawn, stretching and holding up a strange, tech-looking gun towards the silvery hedgehog. As the human shot at the other, the (a/t) jumped into action and tackled her friend. Silver let out a yelp of surprise as the laser crashed into the computer, shattering the screen and causing sparks to fly out at them.

"I was having a really good dream." The human said in a grumpy but still sleepy tone, "Why do you Freedom Fighters always ruin things?"

Then his tired vision focused on the (a/t) that was standing in front of Silver protectively, her arm held up as if holding a shield. The human's jaw dropped and so did his gun as he stumbled back in fear, no longer in sleep mode.

"Y-You?! How?!"

"You know me?" The girl asked, tilting her head as she glared at the man.

"Of course I know you! You're the one that destroyed my ship, that ruined my plans of getting rid of Sonic!" The human yelled, hitting the wall.

"So she's not evil then?" Silver asked next, standing up behind the girl.

The man across the room was silent for a moment, before taking a step towards them. Silver was next to get defensive, standing in front of the (a/t) with his fists up. The human stopped, before a smile crossed his face.

"It worked." He said, before he bellowed out a laugh, "It actually worked!"

"What did?" Silver asked, a frown pulling at his muzzle, "Talk Eggman!"

"My plan to get (Y/N) out of the picture. I wasn't sure if it would be successful, but it must be." The scientist's glasses gave a sinister shine as he smirked down at the two, "I had been planning this for a long time, and I had my doubts; but the confusion on her face right now leads me to believe she is suffering from amnesia."

"How would you know that?" The (a/t) asked, pushing Silver aside, "You're saying you know who I am? Why does nobody else then?"

"Haha!" Eggman bounced with glee, "I didn't think it would work to this affect; but I obviously underestimated myself again!"

A blueish-green glow surrounded the egg-shaped human, and Silver flew up to face him. The hedgehog looked mad, which could have been an understatement, he was pissed.

"Talk." He said in a low voice, and the human responded with a chuckle.

"If you insist." The human said, before turning his head to the female, "You were a new recruit for the Freedom Fighters, but you were automatically the best. It didn't take long for you to climb the ranks, and soon you weren't just a Freedom Fighter, but one of Sonic's personal group. Your sheer will to fight and ability to learn quickly made you a liability, and you were instantly a threat to me."

The girl stood still, listening to the words the man was saying. What WAS he saying? She was good friends with Sonic?

"Then why doesn't he know who I am?" She asked, feeling her chest quake; the confusion mixed with rage made her feel almost weak, "Why don't I know who I am?"

"Because I caused an explosion that wiped everyone's memories of you." The doctor said, "I managed to get my hands on your DNA, and was able to work with the Chaos Emeralds; I used their power to create something, a bomb if you will, that would wipe any and all memories anyone on this planet had of you. In the process, it would also teleport you out of this dimension. I didn't think you'd lose your memory as well; but that's something I can add to my notes."

The girl's hands started to shake, and tears filled her vision as images flashed through her mind. Memories of her training, hanging out with her friends. Rouge being like a sister to her, Tails making the shield for her, and the countless gambles she made with Sonic. Seeing Shadow fighting in the battle, and many others she didn't even know existed. A tear slid down her muzzle, and she glared up at the human.

The smile remained on his face as he stared at her, "Obviously I wasn't lucky with your teleportation. If you came across Silver here, that could only mean you traveled through time. I'm assuming you have an emerald Silver, it's the only way you could have gotten here."

"That's none of your business." Silver snapped, "Now how do we replace everyone's memories? How can (Y/N) get hers back?"

"Oh, that's not possible." The scientist chuckled again, "Those memories are gone for good, they were erased when that bright flash took over Mobius."

"Then why is she getting her memories back, and why do you remember?" The hedgehog said, tilting his head.

"I protected myself, knowing I'd be safer if I remembered, just in case this very thing happened. However with her, I don't know much. She wasn't even meant to lose her memories; so your guess is as good as mine on that one."

The girl let out a cry, before running at the two. She jumped up and tackled Eggman to the ground, slamming him into the metallic floor. Tears streamed down her face as she grabbed his collar, shaking him,

"I've lost everything because of you!" She yelled, her body shaking in fury, "You'll pay for this!"

"(Y/N)!" Silver grabbed her off the other, pulling her back, "Calm down, we're not going to do anything. We got what we need."

"No! Why does it say I'm a villain on my file?!" The girl struggled against the hedgehog, trying to get back to the boiled egg, "Why does G.U.N think I'm evil?!"

Eggman sat up, rubbing his head in pain as he tried shaking the sudden trauma, "I simply made up a file... In case something backfired and they started looking into you... I fabricated a bunch of fake stories and uploaded them to the G.U.N files."

"You MONSTER!" The girl screamed, breaking free of the hedgehog. She lunged again, but stopped mid-air, once again surrounded in Silver's turquoise glow.

"(Y/N) stop!" Silver ran next to her, "We have what we needed, we can leave now."

The (a/t) shook, still crying as she glared down at Eggman. But she let out a shaky breath and gave Silver a nod. The hedgehog watched her for a moment, before setting her back on the floor and giving her a tight hug.

"It's okay... We know the truth now; we can explain to the others and start over. It might take a while, but I know they'll accept you; especially if they had before."

"I-I remember so much..." The girl leant into him, feeling completely helpless, "A-And you're telling me n-no-one else will...?"

"We don't know that. Something could happen and they might remember."

"Nope." Eggman piped up, standing and dusting himself off, "I tested it multiple times. Their memories are gone for good."

The (a/t) let out a low growl, but Silver carted her away, leading the shaken Mobian towards the exit, "Leave it... You can get back at him later."

The scientist only watched them leave, a wide smirk still on his face as they exited the room and made their way out of the building. One of his robots, the round red one, came up to his side and looked up at him,

"Boss, why did you let them go?" He asked.

"It's going to take a long time for (Y/N) to recover." The man said, before walking over to his destroyed computer, "I'd rather fight my enemies in a glorious battle, plus if everything goes to plan, I can simply repeat this, and the next time I do, I'll make it perfect."

But as he read through the cracks on the damaged screen, his eyes widened in horror;

"N-No! This isn't possible!"

~~~
Silver and (Y/N) were walking through the city now, the latter sniffling and wiping her face as they walked; she kept quiet, going over everything she remembered. She had been so close to everyone; Knuckles and Amy, the Chaotix, Blaze, and even Shadow. Tails and Sonic were like brothers, and Rouge was like her sister. But none of them knew that, none of them would remember.
Silver watched over her as they walked, concern swimming in his golden gaze. Finally, he stopped and took her arm.
"(Y/N) listen to me." He said as she glanced up at him slowly, "I promise you; I'll make this right. We'll re-introduce you, explain what happened, they'll understand. It may not seem like it, but everything will end up they way it used to be. Except this time, I'll be here has well."
"H-How do you know that...?" The girl asked, wiping her eyes, "F-For all we know, Eggman could do this again... And I don't want to go through this again..."
"He won't. I guarantee it." The hedgehog couldn't stop the goofy smile spreading over his face, "I heard him enter the room; just before he shot me I removed the files containing his plans, everything he would need to do what he did again. Unless he has a photogenic memory, it will take a long time before he can do it again, and even if he tries; we'll know and we'll stop him."
The (a/t) sniffed, before she too smiled, "Thank you Silver, you're my hero."
"It's no problem (Y/N), you're my friend now. I'd never let you down."
THERE YOU GO. Sorry for the semi-rushed ending; I once again didn't know where to end it and this seemed good. I reallllly hope you guys enjoyed this as much as I did; I am so proud of myself for planning this out, I really really love how it turned out!
