Infinite X Reader - @Ghosthedgehog9910

Infinite the Jackal, also known as the dark mercenary, was a force not to be reckoned with. He had plans to take over the world, and he was going to do that no matter what. The jackal had even gone as far as to betray his ally Eggman after the foolish doctor got his clan slaughtered. Having that loss, the jackal learnt not to trust anyone ever again.

He couldn't have such weak emotions getting in his way, and the possibility of an ally screwing him over was too much of a risk. So here he was, taking over the world alone. And unlike Eggman, he would actually destroy his enemies.

Shadow the hedgehog had been the first on the jackal's list. As soon as the dark mercenary had properly harnessed the Phantom Ruby's power, he was practically unstoppable. Shadow barely stood a chance against him, he fell like a stack of cards in the wind.

And it was the other heroes turns next, they were all going to fall just as easily, just as quickly as their comrade. Infinite had planned his attack on the Resistance, and he was going to fulfil it before the sun rises tomorrow. The jackal was already preparing, floating around town and blocking off any possible exits any of the heroes could take to try to escape, familiarising himself with buildings he may use to bring them down, calming his nerves.

He had already gotten his revenge on the Doctor and Shadow for what they did to his clan. Now it was time to move on to bigger goals, goals he had shared with his teammates, a goal that only he can now accomplish alone. Once Infinite was done with his preparations, he nodded to himself and headed back to Eggman's base; time to put his plan into action.

However, when he returned to the base, the jackal noticed something was off. The front door had a dent in it, one that wasn't there before, and he immediately went into high alert. Someone had been here, but who? The Resistance weren't currently on the move, which means this is an unknown attacker.

He growled to himself, before making his way towards the door of the base. With large ears twitching, Infinite kept his eyes peeled for any movement in the forest surrounding him. There was no other sound aside from the breeze moving through the leaves. But then he caught a scent, and he spun, shooting a red laser at the closest tree to the door.

There was a cry of surprise, and a shadow jumped form the tree to another, the original catching on fire. Infinite growled and watched the shadow, a red glow flowing around his hands,

"Show yourself." He ordered, and the figure became still in the tree. A moment passed, silence, and then the mysterious person dropped from the tree. Infinite saw them raise their hands as they stepped into the light.

A (f/c) (a/t) stood there, wearing black fingerless gloves, a tight black shirt that hid most of the fur on her torso, black pants hid her legs, a belt wrapped loosely around her waist held some simple weapons. She kept her hands raised as she stepped forward,

"Easy..." She said, her (e/c) eyes shining in the light, "I come in peace."

"Why are you here?" Infinite snapped, taking a defensive position, "How are you here? No one knows of this place."

The (a/t) rolled her eyes, lowering her hands and placing them on her hips, "You're easy to track, just follow the floating red glow."

The jackal blinked, taken back by the... Simple reasoning. It was something he hadn't really thought about, and he cursed himself for being so careless. Considering the Resistance hadn't attacked yet, he was lucky they hadn't picked up on his foolishness. But this stranger had, and he still had no clue why she was here.

"Will you answer my first question?" He asked, keeping his heterochronic eyes on her. The (a/t) nodded, her hands leaving her hips, one shooting out towards him,

"(Y/N)." She said, "I want to join you in destroying the world, and the heroes that run the place."

Infinite stared at her hand, scowling, "I don't work with allies anymore."

"Don't see it as an alliance, see it more as... Business partners."

"That's still an alliance."

The (a/t) let out a sigh, shaking her head, "Alright fine, I want to work in an alliance with you."

"And I already told you, I don't work with allies anymore. Now leave, I'll spare you for trespassing this time." Infinite let his defensive position fall. Turning his back on the stranger, he headed to the door, "I won't hesitate to kill you next time."

"Oh I'm sure." (Y/N) said, following the jackal as he attempted to walk away, "But I didn't pick up on your patterns and follow you here for nothing. Will you hear me out at least?"

Infinite stopped at the dented door, staring at it for a moment. He had no time for this, he was about to put his plan into action and she was an annoying distraction.

"No." He simply said, before disappearing into the base.

Once he was in the main laboratory, the jackal started flicking through the large computer. Unlike Eggman, he actually hid his plans well on this thing. There was no way Tails, or anyone could hack into his system and read his plans. The jackal almost let a chuckle slide at the thought of his brilliance.

Until a bright red warning flashed up on the screen. Infinite startled, before narrowing his eyes at the screen and typing instantly; someone was trying to hack into his system, and before the big plan. He growled, doing his best to fight off the intruder, but then he heard something behind him and he spun, ready to fight whoever had ambushed him.

The (a/t) was there, hanging upside-down on a rope, typing into a piece of tech on her arm. Her (e/c) eyes lowered to Infinite and she shared a cheeky smile,

"I like your plan, but I think I know how I can make it better." She said, swinging down and landing in front of Infinite.

"You're persistent, I'll give you that." The dark jackal huffed, crossing his arms.

"Exactly a reason I would be an excellent ally." The (a/t) said, holding her arms behind her back and stepping forward, "You may not know it, but you totally need me. Your system was too easy to hack into, it was laughable really. I could put up a firewall that no one could get passed."

"It won't matter anytime soon anyway." Infinite said, glaring at her, "I'm going to attack them now, there will be no one to stop me or snoop around my things."

"Correction, there will be no heroes to stop you or snoop around your things." (Y/N) held up a finger, as if proving a point, "Other villains can be just as tricky, and they'd discover everything if they even thought of hacking you."

"I already told you, I work alone." Infinite said this time, getting straight to the point, "I don't need any other heads to worry about, or any other backstabbers."

The (a/t) gave a wide smile to this, and she nodded in agreement, "Of course, but you hardly know what I'm capable of. In the week it took me to find you and track you down, I've already managed to sneak into your base and hack your system. You haven't even seen me fight. I'm like a jack of all trades, and I can be useful."

Infinite raised a brow at this, "Oh really? And why are you so determined to become my ally?"

"Because I know you're 100% loyal." The (a/t) said, clenching a fist and smiling at the other, "I know why you killed Eggman, and I totally get it. I wouldn't dare betray you, I don't plan on being killed any time soon. I'd like to say I'm just as loyal."

"Any other reasons?" The jackal leant on one leg, watching her intently.

"Yeah, you're super powerful and I don't doubt you'll crush the heroes with ease. I want in on this destruction to, and I'll only get that opportunity with you. Seeing how you defeated Shadow, I was blown away, and it made me realise I can't miss my chance."

"So you're an opportunist?" Infinite tilted his head, "Since one of the more powerful heroes is out of the way, it's your chance to stand up?"

"No." The (a/t) smiled smugly, "I'm not an opportunist, I just know how to pick my fights, and Shadow was an enemy I never wanted to face."

"Smart." He nodded in approval, before pinching the fur between his eyes with a groan, "Alright, I'll let you show me what you got. Since you hacked into my system did you get a good read of the plans?"

"Yep!" She said, "I know what I can do, let me fill you in."

And so she did. (Y/N) took Infinite through his plan, however changed a few things to both implement herself into it and make the plan a whole lot better. Infinite was impressed, and although he wouldn't admit it, he was already glad to have a new ally. She was already proving to be useful, and her sheer determination was inspiring.

The two then followed through with their attack, the Resistance had not been prepared for such a powerful move by the villains. They were taken down and defeated easily. Anyone that tried to fight back against the two fell like paper in the wind.

Infinite and (Y/N) quickly became the king and queen of this game, the two sticking together through the battle. As soon as it was done, the two both panting slightly, there were bodies strewn everywhere. Infinite had never felt such a thrill before, being able to mow everyone down, the (a/t)'s adjustments to his plan had made it easier, and much more fun.

He turned to her, his first smile cracking on his muzzle,

"You're a very impressive ally." He said, and the (a/t) smiled, waving her hand tiredly,

"It's nothing. I meant it when I wanted to be your ally, and when I said I was loyal. I think we'd really make a great team." She stretched her arms, glancing at him as she picked up one of her weapons from a dead body, "We have so much more to do, this was just one city. We still have a whole world."

"I like the way you think." Infinite chuckled, holding his hand out to her, "What do you say? Allies?"

"Allies." (Y/N) shook his hand, and the two gave each other a determined look.

They were just getting started.

Wooooooo! And that was the final request! It's not my strongest one, but definitely not my worst either.

Before we get into anything else – no, I will not do a part 2 of this, so even if you request it on Friday I will ignore it. I had trouble writing this (so much dialogue ;-; ) and I can't be bothered to think of more for it.

Anyway, like I said this is the final request, however it's not over yet. I still have like 9 ideas I need to write about (including the mystery poll I got ya'll to do) so hang tight, the year isn't over!

If all goes well, I'll be able to get a one-shot AND the request page up on Friday (there will be a huge gap to at least allow the one-shot to be read lol) so look out for two updates Friday!

Aight, that's all for now!

Haven Out!!!
