1 week later, Vampirina was sitting on the grass very peacefully while her sister Emily was spending time with Maria, but that was untill she heard them screaming...

Emily: Sister!!!

Vampirina: Emily? What's wrong?

Emily: Someone took your Chaos Emerald!

Vampirina: Who took it?

Emily: It was a hedgehog with a black coat! And it ran this way!

Vampirina: Then let's go and follow it

Shadow: Did something happened?

Emily: Shadow! Someone stole Vee's purple emerald!

Shadow: Who was it?

Vampirina: She said that was a hedgehog with a black coat

Emily: And me and Maria saw it running that way

Shadow: Then we need to get it!

Emily: I'll call Sonic and the others!

Vampirina: And we will check if Maria is okay

And Shadow and Vampirina went to find where Maria and the thief were. When they arrived, they saw Maria with a tree branch and the thief was unconcious

Shadow: Maria! Are you okay?

Vampirina: Thank Chaos you are alright! And good job on dealing with it

Maria: Thanks Vee...

Sonic: Guys! Is everything okay?!

Marshall: Emily told us what happened and we came here as fast as we could

Vampirina: We are fine Sonic, now let's find out who's the emerald thief

Vampirina took the coat out of the thief and they saw that the thief was a female purple hedgehog with amethist eyes and her quills in a ponytail, she also wears a white dress and a pendant with a purple gem on the middle

Silver: Hey! Who is she?

Marshall:(gasps) It can't be!

Shadow and Vampirina: Hailey?!

Emily: Hailey? Is really her?!

Poppy: If I know a hedgehog with that pendant, is Hailey

Bridget: So it's really her?!

Sonic: Do you guys... know her?

Emily: Yes, she was an old friend of ours

Marshall: And she was my first owner

Chase: Your owner?

Marshall: Yes... but she left me because he wanted to look for Shadow when the agents got him

And Shadow went to Hailey and put his lap on her head, and when she opened her eyes, the person who was there was her best friend Shadow

Hailey:(sees Sonic) Oh! And who are you?

Sonic: Hey Hailey! I'm Sonic, Shadow's young brother, and this are his other silbings Silver and Tails

Hailey: But... I thought that Shadow didn't have any silbings since he was created...

Vampirina: Actually Hailey... Shadow is not created, he was teleported to a different timeline so he can be save from Dr Robotnick

Bridget: Dr Eggman!

Hailey: Oh man! That's so sad...

Sonic: I know... but at least we are reunited as a family and we won't be separed anymore

Hailey: That's sounds good!

Emily: Oh! One more thing!

And Emily went to Maria to bring her to Hailey so she can meet her...

Emily: Hailey... meet Maria!

Maria: Hello Hailey! Is nice to meet you!

Hailey: Shads... isn't she your old friend from the ARK?

Shadow: She is... my father bring her back to life

Emily: But there was a small catch: that she will turn into the mobian species

Shadow: (looks at Vampirina)

Vampirina was playing Hide and Seek with Demi, Gregoria, Marshall, Emily,  Shadow and Hailey. When she found everyone, except Shadow...

Demi: Woohoo! I was the last one being found! I won!

Marshall (pup): Wait Demi! Shadow has not be found yet...

Hailey (kid): Then let's go and find him

And everyone starts looking for Shadow all over the house, but they didn't found him, but then Vee hears something in the attic...

Emily (kid): What was that?

Vampirina (kid): I think I know who is it...

And when she walked staight to the boxes, she hear someone moving...

Vampirina:(laughs) Found you Shads!

Shadow (kid): How did you know it was me?

Vampirina: I know you like to hide in dark places

Gregoria: You are good at playing Hide and Seek, champ

Shadow: Thanks...

Oxana: Okay kids, time to go to bed!

All kids (except Shadow): Awww...

Demi: Okay! Let's get all of you to bed

After everyone went to their rooms, Vampirina heard someone sobbing and it was coming out of the other room. And when she entered, Shadow screamed after waking up from a nightmare...

Shadow: AHH!

Vampirina: Shadow! Are you okay?

Shadow: Yeah... I'm fine Vee... I just-- (signs)

Vampirina: I guess you had a nightmare, and not of the good ones

Shadow: No... it wasn't...

Vampirina: Did you dreamed about something bad?

Shadow: I just dreamed that I was in the school with you and we were having a good day... but then you and the students started kicking me and hurting me... and that's it...

Vampirina: But Shadow... you know I wouldn't do that, because you are one of my best friends in the world

Shadow: I am?

Vampirina: Yeah... you are brave, you help everyone who needs you and you always care about us

Shadow: Yes... I do care about my friends... because you are the only friends I have after--

Vampirina: After your friend Maria died?

Shadow: Yes... and I don't want to lose them...

Vampirina: Hey Shads... since you have those Chaos Powers, maybe you can use them to show me how Maria was, can you do it?

Shadow: Maybe... but first I have to learn to use them... and when I do it, I promise I will show what Maria was for me... and you will also feel the same thing...

Vampirina: Thank you Shadow...

Shadow: Anything for you Vee...

Hailey:(in thought) Oh man! What a hard promise to keep for her, but I know that Shadow never breaks a promise to Vee, I just hope he can do it

End of Flashback

Maria: Oh Shadow... that sure was a hard promise to make to Vampirina

Shadow: I know... and I tried even harder so at least Vee can see you

Vampirina:(puts hand on Shadow's shouder) And you did Shadow...

Tails: Yeah... because Vampirina is an important person to you that you never wanted to fail her...

Sonic: All the things you did was because of your strong friendship with her... and you always wanted to do things for her...

Vampirina: When you did all those things for me... I feeled that I have my Shadow back... and that I will never lose him again...

Shadow: But... when I tried to destroy the universe, I saw you very dissapointed... and I thought I lose my friendship with you... and even my love for you... (sobs lightly)

Vampirina: I'm not dissapointed now after those two years

Silver: Yeah... you showed us that you always had a gold heart even if you were rude and arrogant

Sonic: And now that you have changed now, we are very proud of it

Hailey: Me too... I always knew you will do a lot of things for us like when we were kids

Vampirina:(hugs Shadow) I love you Shadow... we all do...

Emily:(joins hug) Yeah... we all do...

Marshall:(joins hug) And that will never change...

Hailey:(joins hug) Yeah... never...

Poppy: We will never stop being your friends...

Bridget: Yeah... we will always be your friends

Maria: Even if you weren't created Shads... I will never stop being your first friend...

Sonic:(joins hug) Even if we were rivals... I will never stop liking you brother...

Tails and Silver: Me neither...

Shadow:(breaks hug and wipes tears) Thank you...

Emily: Oh Shadow... we never see you cry like that...

Hailey: So... are we a family?

Vampirina: Now with you back and Maria joining us, we are a great family

And everyone give a last group hug and Shadow was very thankful to have someone like Vee to love him and friends like the ones he has. After that emotional moment, they went to see Vee's parents and the Hauntleys were happy to see Hailey again and they also tell Shadow that he will always be part of the Hauntleys no matter what, and also Batarina, Catboy and Rouge agreed on that. And Shadow now was happy to know that he will always have good friends to help him in anything and he will also do the same thing
