"Wow... So he was one of the Knights of the Round Table?" Sonic asked as they are walking.

"The mightiest of all and the closest to King Arthur. It was mere luck that enabled you and your sister to defeat him." Caliburn explained.

"If you say so..."

"But why did you two not deal him the final blow?"

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Such sympathy is an insult to a knight."

"No, it's not, Caliburn. I'd rather let them live because they deserve a second chance. A true knight would never kill their own knight if you make them your friend. That's how I learned. I did the same with the other enemies I have defeated and they became my friend."

"You really do have a good heart, Y/N." Wolflobe said, looking at her.

"Aw, what's the big deal? Besides, I got this, didn't I?" Sonic said, showing Lancelot's sword.

"That is Arondight, one of the sacred swords of this land. Take good care of it." Caliburn said.

"No problem."

"We're here." Wolflobe said.

They stopped to see a bridge full of light blue lights across the lake with a nice. Just then a figure appears and walks towards them.

"I've been waiting for you, knights from another world."

"Amy?!" Y/N exclaimed in shock.

"Whoa!"

Sonic starts to run away.

"Fool! Where are you going!?" Caliburn said.

"But that's...!!"

"You are being rude to the Lady of the Lake! Bow your head!"

Sonic then bow before Amy/Nimue along with Y/N.

"I think I know why you two are here. It's about Excalibur isn't it?" Nimue said.

Sonic grabs her behind her head to her shoulder.

"Yeah, that's right! You don't waste any time, lady!"

"Sonic!" Y/N scolded.

"Show some respect!" Caliburn and Wolflobe scolded.

Sonic backs off. They then walked across the bridge and sat down by the nice area with a table full of teacups.

"I'll tell you how to hinder the scabbard's power of immortality. I'm the one who gave it to him, so it's kinda my fault, see? But still..."

"Still what?" Sonic asked.

"Whoever defeats King Arthur and takes his scabbard... Might end up turning out the same way, right?"

"I see..." Caliburn said.

"So I have three tests for you. Would you like to hear them?" Nimue asked, showing them three fingers.

"Yes." Y/N said.

"First, free the innocents from King Arthur's dungeon. Second, offer compassion to those in need. Third, defeat King Arthur's knights of the underworld. You have three days... Good luck..."

Nimue then disappears.

"I get it. She's only gonna to tell the secret to a true knight." Sonic said.

"Yep." Y/N said.

"Are you up to the task?" Caliburn asked the siblings.

"This will not be easy." Wolflobe added.

"Heh! We're the world's fastest hedgehog! Check it out! You'll be calling us 'Sir' before you know it!" Sonic rubbed his nose with a grin.

"We'll handle any challenge they have given us." Y/N grinned.

Sonic and Y/N are heading towards the castle.

"Time to prove ourselves as knights!"

"That's the spirit!"

They hit the giant crowbar, making the arrow release attached to the rope to the giant statue, causing it to fall towards the castle wall and made a big hole.

"Good heavens!" Caliburn exclaimed.

"Oh my God!" Wolflobe exclaimed as they slide on the rope.

"Heh heh... Sorry!"

"It's kinda our thing..."

They then jumped off the rope after going inside the castle where there's dark tunnels with torches.

"Where are we?"

"It looks like a waterway under the castle."

Y/N takes down the dark knights that are coming while Sonic takes down the gate. After it was opened, they easily took down more dark knights along the way as they stopped by the gate again and did the same thing they did earlier. Her taking down the dark knights and Sonic breaking down the gate.

"That was a bit riskier than usual."

"How fare are you, Sir Knave?"

Sonic ignored the name and took down the gate again as they got out of the waterway. It was now night time in the forrest they are in.

"Oh, it looks like we've got company! We'll just have to take 'em down!"

Clash after clash with Sonic and Y/N working together with their trusty sword, they slay almost 40 dark knights along the way through the settlement.

"Whoa! Don't lose your grip on me!"

"You sound like you're the one who needs a grip!" Sonic teased.

As they ran and skate, they managed to defeat all 50 enemies, protecting the citizens. Their mission was a success. Their next mission is to also give citzens 80 rings which they easily finished it while dealing with the dark knights.

"It's close, but it seems you two somehow made it." Caliburn said as they ran for the next mission.

"Too easy! Piece of cake!" Sonic grinned.

"It wasn't all that easy, Sonic. We did get the job done in no time." Y/N said.

"Y/N is right. Do not let it go to your head." Wolflobe said.

"The girls are very much right, fool!" Caliburn said.

Sonic and Y/N stops.

"What's wrong?"

They look to see the kid sitting in the corner crying.

"Waaaaaahhh!"

"Hey! What's the matter?" Sonic asked in concern.

"Are you lost, kid?" Y/N kneeled down to their level.

"A great big dragon attacked my village." Kid cried.

"A dragon?!" Sonic and Y/N exclaimed.

"It took my Mommy and my Daddy and everybody away... Waaaaaahhh!"

"You know where the dragon is, kid?" Y/N asked, patting his head.

"It's in the big cave at the bottom of that mountain." Kid pointed to where the direction is.

"Alright, we're on it." Sonic said.

"Wait! Don't tell me you two're going off to slay a dragon now!" Caliburn exclaimed.

"It could be dangerous." Wolflobe added.

"Yes, we are!" Hedgehog siblings grinned without a second thought.

"What of the Lady's tests?! You two will never make it in time!"

"Yeah, maybe, but..."

"We play by our own rules. Remember that."

"Alright, let's go." Wolflobe said, surprising Caliburn and following after them.

"You fools..." Caliburn said, following after them as well.

"Hang in there, kiddo! We'll get your folks back!"

After defeating more dark knights as well as those giant ones they had encountered, going over giant spikes, they were suddenly stopped to see a figure standing in the middle of the ruins with tall pillars.

"I don't suppose you're gonna let us by?"

Y/N squinted her eyes to get a closer looked and gasped.

"Knuckles?!"

"Heh! You look like this knucklehead we know!"

"Ho! You dare to mock Sir Gawain, Knight of the Round Table?! An act most unwise, my friends!" Gawain growled, getting into the stance with his two swords.

"Wait, wait! We're not trying to pick a fight with you. We were heading to a cave to save some people from a dragon." Sonic said.

"Bah!" Gawain scoffed. "You cannot fool me with your lies! No doubt you're after the dragon's treasure!"

"No we're not, you idiot! We are only here to help! Are you listening to yourself?!" Y/N argued.

"Oh, man... You sound just like that knucklehead, too!"

"For once, I agree. He was gullible... and stupid."

"You have defied King Arthur. This place shall be your grave!"

Gawain charges forward.

"Say your prayers, you thieving rats!"

Sonic and Y/N charges forward, but Gawain flips backward. He then charges them and raises both of his swords. The siblings quickly blocked the attack with their own blade. Y/N flips and roundhouse kicks Gawain in the chest, pushing him back along with slashing off his two swords back.

"You're not half bad. But don't fool yourself into thinking that you can defeat me!" he said, feeling a little impressed.

"Did you hear that?! Well? Are you going to ramp up your attacks or not?!" Caliburn shouted.

"You're right! It's time to stop playing around with him!" Sonic said, spin dash attacking Gawain with his sword.

Gawain groaned in pain and quickly blocked the attack. He was about to hit Sonic when Y/N went in front and blocked the attack from Gawain's swords as he pushed her back. Y/N quickly jumped back and charged him forward. Their blades clashed together as they struggled to push each other back. Gawain was almost strong as Lancelot as his swords slowly push Y/N down, making her grunt. Y/N taking a deep breath manage to push him back harder with a little help of the power of the crystal around her neck that gave her enough strength to push him back harder. Gawain stumbled a bit, shocked. He shook his head and charged forward again.

"Do you actually believe your attacks can affect me?!"

Gawain started throwing his swords towards them. Sonic and Y/N quickly blocked them with their sword as the swords flew right back into Gawain's hands as he threw them again.

"He's defending himself! Fall back for now!" Wolflobe ordered.

"Tsk! Back to square one!" Sonic scoffed, blocking another Gawain's attack.

"Strike me if you dare! I, Sir Gawain, will show you how a real knight fights!"

"We'll see about that!" Y/N said, taking out her whip.

"Oh, I know where this is going..." Sonic grinned.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Caliburn asked in confusion, seeing her with the whip.

"Watch. She had done that once."

Y/N steadied Wolflobe up while spinning her whip. She then zoomed in towards Gawain and hit his two swords very fast. He struggled to block them at such fast paste as he was being pushed back harder from both her sword and her whip. The attacks managed to hit his arm, armored chest, and helmet, leaving some scratch marks. Y/N wrapped her whip around Gawain's leg and pulled him up in the air. He screamed in surprise. She then elbowed him in the stomach, making him choke out his saliva. Sonic jumped up in the air and grabbed Gawain and slammed him down to the ground. Just as Gawain was about to get up, Sonic knocked both of his swords out of his grasps and him to the ground using Caliburn.

"Noooooo! How can this be?!" he yelled in defeat.

Y/N then landed, putting her whip away and letting Wolflobe float.

"Wow, Y/N. I didn't know you can actually do that with me and your whip at the same time." Wolflobe said in awe.

"I did it out of practice." Y/N smirked.

"Well I say, good job on that one, sis." Sonic gave her thumbs up.

"Indeed." Caliburn agreed.

Y/N looked back at Gawain who punched the ground.

"To lose those mere apprentices... I have been disgraced!"

Gawain points one of his swords yo himself, shocking Y/N.

"Only death can remove this stain upon my honor."

Y/N runs and takes the sword away.

"What the heck are you doing?!"

"Yeah! Give us a break! What's up with all this drama?!"

"Silence! Silence, I say! A knight who fails their king is unfit to live!"

"Isn't there more to being a knight than just serving a king?" Sonic asked.

"Huh?!"

Gawain looks over at Sonic.

"I'm outta here. People to save, ya know? You coming sis?"

"I'll be there in a sec." Y/N said, staring down at Gawain.

He nods and walks away along with Caliburn.

"What are you going to do? Finish me?" Gawain asked.

"No, like Sonic said there's more than just serving a king. A true knight protect those who cannot protect themselves. You ever think of that?"

Gawain looks at Y/N in silence and shock. He glanced away, thinking.

"I'll let you think about. But just let you know, you are much stronger than you think you are. Trust me."

With that Y/N walks away. Gawain looks back at her as she leaves. He let her words repeat in his mind while he recall his fight with her. He was impressed the way she moves her blade and whip so gracefully as she attack him. He had never been hit like that before and he liked it.
