Back to Sonic and the others, Tom is taken into an ambulance while Maddie tags along. Sonic and the others sadly watch them go. Maddie looks to Sonic, telling him it's not his fault. The doors close and the ambulance drives away. The gang is at a loss, especially Sonic.

Tails tries to comfort the blue hedgehog, "It'll be okay, Sonic."

"It'll be okay? Tom is fighting for his life, Eve is gone again and got badly scarred, and you think it'll be okay?" Sonic says, upset.

Knuckles then says, "The fox is simply trying to comfort you."

"Chao," Jazz replies

"Comfort's not what I need right now. I need to stop them, by any means necessary," Sonic says.

Tails asks, worried, "Wait, you don't mean...?"

"The Master Emerald," Sonic says.

But Knuckles says, "The Emerald must never be wielded for vengeance. Not ever. We swore a sacred oath."

"Don't talk to me about oaths. Not now," Sonic says, upset.

"But you told Tom using the emerald wasn't the right choice," Tails says.

Sonic then angrily says, "Well, now it's the only choice! And if neither of you have the guts to help me, then I'll do it alone."

"But I thought the five of us were a team? I thought that's what made us special," Tails says, trying to calm Sonic down.

"Chao Chao," Jazz says, worried.

But Sonic turns his anger to Knuckles and demands, "I'm not asking you twice, Knuckles," And powers up his fists, "Where is the Master Emerald?"

Knuckles powers up his fists, "Your heart is being consumed by anger, hedgehog. You are in no condition to make decisions right now."

"I know you're upset about Eve and Tom. We all are," Tails says.

However, Sonic is not backing down and angrily demands Knuckles, "Last chance. Where..." and his eyes glow, "IS IT?!"

"Don't do this," Knuckles says.

Sonic and Knuckles stare down at each other. Sonic had red lighting over him while Knuckles had blue lighting over him. Strong beat before Knuckles... reluctantly stands down.

Then Knuckles says, "Part of our oath is to trust each other. And I must abide by that promise, even if you have chosen to break it. But heed this warning; the Master Emerald is guarded by a fearsome warrior, and to seize this ultimate power, you will have to go through him."

At Green Hills, Montana, there's Wade Whipple.

He takes a deep breath and says to himself, "Okay, Wade, it all comes down to this."

And it's revealed that Wade is using the Master Emerald as a hockey puck for hockey practice on top of the sheriff's station building.

Wade bats the Emerald around with the puck, "Last few seconds. Whipple down the ice. He shoots," and then shoots the emerald into the goal, "HE SCOOOOORES! Wade Whipple is the champion again!" and then laughs triumphantly as he picks up the emerald.

Just then, the ring portal opens and Sonic arrives on the scene.

Wade notices him and says, "Oh, hey Sonic. Seen my goal? Pretty sick, right?"

"I'm here for the emerald," Sonic says in a stern tone.

But Wade says, "Look, Sonic, I'm sorry. I promised to guard this emerald with my life. I will do whatever it takes to-"

But Sonic quickly takes the Master Emerald from his hand.

Seeing it's gone, Wade shrugs his shoulders, "Well, I tried."

Using the power of the Master Emerald with anger, Sonic goes up into his super form as wind blows around.

Wade hangs onto the goal as he cries out, "Sonic! Too bright!"

Super Sonic then flies off, ready to make Shadow pay and to get his sister back.

Back to Agent Stone, he is watching the news being broadcasted in the United Kingdom.

A Female British Newscaster says on the television, "This is an urgent national emergency broadcast. The spacecraft designed by the agency GUN has been hijacked and launched out of the River Thames."

Then cut to the broadcast in Tokyo being told by a Japanese newscaster, revealing that the Robotniks are behind the crime.

Cut to New York City in America...

American Newscaster says, "All residents are urged to seek immediate shelter."

Meanwhile, in space, the spaceship begins to change, resembling Robotnik, complete with solar panels to form a mustache.

Inside, Shadow and Eve stare out the window to see Earth. Eve however, is still in a stunned state.

Professor Gerald walks to the two hedgehogs, "Shadow. Eve. It's time."

Shadow turns to the professor and asks, "Professor, is this really what Maria would have wanted?" then slowly turns to his sister, "Or my mother? Would she want it too?"

"The question isn't 'what Maria or Tikal would've wanted?'. It's 'what do they deserve?'," Professor Gerald says.

"But... do they... do they really... deserve it..." Eve softly asks.

Shadow and the professor turn to see Eve, slowly turning her head towards them.

"Do they...?" Eve asks, sadly and still stunned.

The professor kneels to Eve, "I understand, it's very hard for you. You were only a little child when it happened. I don't blame you for not remembering, but you need to remember what happened." Then look at Shadow as well, "You both need to remember what they meant to us." Then turns to Eve, "Remember what they took from us."

Eve softly mutters, "Remember... Remember that day..."

Eve then steps away from the professor and her mind begins to regain her memories. Shadow walks over and stands by Eve's side as he remembers clearly what happened all those years ago.

Flashback: 50 years ago.

Shadow is sitting as he listens to Maria playing her guitar. Eve is sitting on Shadow's lap as they enjoy the music. Tikal is in the room as well as she reads a book and watches the children having fun and relaxing.

Just then, Professor Gerald Robotnik opens the doors, "Tikal! Kids! We have to go, now!"

And the next moment, all of them are running down the hall, the same Eve has been seeing in her dreams. Shadow has Eve in his arm as he holds Maria's hand. Tikal is holding Maria's hand as Professor Gerald holds Tikal's hand.

Tikal asks, worried, "Professor, what's happening?!"

"They want to take Shadow and Eve away from us, Tikal!" Professor Gerald says.

This has Tikal, Maria, and Shadow worried. Eve is so scared and she holds her brother tightly.

The group continues running down the hall as the GUN Soldiers point their weapons at them. Young Walters hurries towards them and pushes past the soldiers.

Walters then tries to push the gun of one of the soldiers away as he shouts, "Hey! Wait! What are you doing?! Those are children!"

"We've got our orders, Walters!" The Soldier says.

But Young, "Walters shouts, "Stand down!"

However, during the struggle, the soldier accidentally fires at the energy tank nearby. The professor, Tikal, and the children come to a stop in shock. The tank begins to crack as Tikal lets go of the professor and tries to use herself as a shield to protect Maria, Shadow, and Eve. And soon, the explosion erupts at the base, sending a burst outside as well, knocking some of the soldiers down.

Still inside the base, the dust clears, and Shadow regains consciousness.

Shadow looks to see Eve regaining herself as well, "Eve, are you okay?"

"I... I think so..." Eve says, softly.

The two hedgehogs soon turn in shock to find Professor Gerald kneeling over Maria and Tikal's corpse."

Shadow and Eve rushes over.

Shadow shouts in distraught, "Mother! Maria!"

Shadow and Eve along with Professor Gerald share solemn looks on their faces.

"Mo-Mommy... Maria..." Eve softly says.

Eve tries to shake them, but they won't wake up, "Mommy... Maria... please wake up... Please please please! Wake up! Please, wake up! Mommy! Maria!"

Professor Gerald gently places his hand on her shoulder, and slowly shakes his head in response.

Seeing what happened, Eve begins to cry as tears stream down her face, "No! Mom! Maria! No!" and continues to cry.

Shadow and Gerald watch in sadness as Eve cries for Maria and Tikal's death.

Shadow's blood boils over the loss of Maria and Tikal, and how much Eve is suffering. Soon his eyes surge in chaos energy.

Meanwhile, Eve is remembering everything that happened during the accident. Including the part when Eve is placed inside a containment tank and locked in. Eve panics and tries to get out of the tank as she cries and begs. She sees her Shadow being forced into the other containment tank as Professor Gerald has been handcuffed and taken away by the GUN Soldiers.

Eve cries and bangs as she begs, "Let me out! Let me out! Mommy! Maria! Shadow! Professor! Let me out! Mommy! Maria! Shadow! Shadow!"

And soon, Eve lets out a cry as her powers of Chaos Energy explode at a massive state that causes everyone to be pushed back, and a dark vortex appears behind her. The containment tank falls over, causing Eve to bang her head and falls unconscious. Shadow fears on what's happening, bangs on the capsule trying to get out as Eve's containment tank is being vacuumed into the vortex. And the next moment, Eve is gone as well.

Flashback Ends:

Soon, Shadow and Eve open their eyes in pure anger as their Chaos Energy spreads across the space station. Eve has tears streaming down her face and her sadness and anger explode and her Chaos Energy shows it. That causes Eve to remember everything, how everything has been taken away from her because of GUN.

And with that, Shadow and Eve, together, run angrily around the Eclipse Cannon's core, like they're both charging it to reach full peak.

Dr. Robotnik turns to Professor Gerald and asks, "Excuse me, grandpasadoble. What is that thermonuclear gerbil doing?"

"Infusing the core with chaos energy. That's my little secret," Professor Gerald says, "The Eclipse Cannon is about to turn this planet into a flaming pile of rubble, wiping out everything in a 25,000 mile radius..." This causes Dr. Robotnik's expression turns pale, "...including us."

After a beat of silence, Dr. Robotnik says in shock, "WHAT?! We can't annihilate the Earth! By combining our genius, we can rule humanity, together!"

But then Professor Gerald says, "Humanity is a failed experiment. If anyone should know that, it's you. All your life, you've been rejected by this world. You have nothing down there. No one who cares about you."

"But I have you now. We're family. We have each other," Dr. Robotnik says sadly.

But Gerald Robotnik responds coldly, "Oh, Ivo... You're no Maria. And you're no Tikal" Then walks away, "The moment I lost them, my family was gone forever. The only way to give Maria and Tikal's life meaning is to destroy the world that took her from me, so I'm burning it all down!"

Soon, Shadow teleports back and Eve descends to the ground with her powers. Eve lets out heavy breaths as tears still streams down her face, clearly the anger and sadness have a stronger effect on her.

"It's done," Shadow says.

"Good work, you two," Professor Gerald says, "I'm prepping the firing sequence," And with that, Eclipse activates the cannon, "The weapon will be fully charged in ten minutes."

Shadow takes Eve to the window as they look through it.

"It's almost finished, Eve," Shadow says to Eve, "Maria and our mother will have justice."

Eve looks at the planet Earth with a depressed expression. Having all her memories from her previous life really got to her. She remembers how she, Shadow, Maria, Tikal, and the Professor were living in the lab, despite having the research on both her and Shadow, they've been happy. However, the incident of GUN tried to take her and Shadow away from them, and how they caused the accident, and caused Eve to be seperated from her family devastated her so badly and badly injured that she ended up being seperated from them.

As she continues looking at the planet, Eve suddenly remembers waking up to see Sonic as a child. Eve is scared at first, but they both quickly get to know each other. Then years later, they end up meeting Tom, Maddie, and even Rachel and Jojo, remembering the crazy adventure they have, and at the end, they stayed on Earth and gained a family. All the memories of the friends and family she has made continue to flow in her mind. Most of all, she remembers Sonic, the brother that she comes to love. Eve's eyes wide in shock and sign of remorse and devastation.

Tears stream down her face as she slowly covers her mouth. Then ends up falling to her knees.

"Eve?" Shadow responds, confused.

She softly mutters, "Oh... oh no. Sonic. Tom. What have... What have I done?"
