One bright day in Green Hills, Tom Wachowski is at the side of the road to check on any speeding drivers. As he watches the monitor, two figures speed fast and the monitor shows the highest number of miles per hour.

Tom chuckles, "Looks like they're racing again. Wish those two could take it easy when it comes to their games, especially their races."

Up ahead, Sonic and Eve are indeed racing against each other.

"If I win you have to buy me a box of donuts," Sonic says.

"You won't win!" Eve says.

Sonic and Eve continue to race on the highway and past the town of Green Hill without anyone noticing. Soon, the two hedgehogs reach the house, and at the same time, they touch the door.

"I win! You're a rotten egg and you'll be buying me the donuts," Sonic says.

"You're dreaming, Sonic! I'm the one who got here first," Eve says.

"No, I won!" Sonic says.

"I won!" Eve shouts.

Just then, the door opens and Maddie is the one who answers.

"You both tied, and you're just in time to do your chores," Maddie says.

"What?! But we just got back!" Sonic complains.

"Come on Sonic, we promised Maddie to help with the chores," Eve says.

Sonic groans, "Aw, fine. Where do we start?"

"You can start with your room," Maddie says.

"And she means clean it right this time, not use your speed to clean or stuffing our things in the closet like last time," Eve says.

"Yeah yeah," Sonic says, rolling his eyes.

And with that, the two begin cleaning their room, putting their things back where they belong, fixing their bed, vacuuming, and dusting. And Eve makes sure Sonic doesn't try to take shortcuts from his chores. And soon enough, the hedgehogs' room is clean.

"There we go, our room is all clean," Eve says.

"Yeah. It's nice to see the room all cleaned," Sonic says.

He then lies on his beanbag chair, "Now we can relax."

"Uh Sonic, we did agree to do some of the chores And there isn't much for us to do, especially when we work together," Eve says.

"Remind me why we have to do the chores?" Sonic asks.

"Because Tom and Maddie are letting us live here and we both agreed to help them out once in a while," Eve says.

"That's true. So what do we need to do?" Sonic replies, sitting up.

"Not much. I'll do the dishes and you can vacuum the living room. That's all we need to do," Eve says.

"Sure," Sonic says.

Soon enough, Sonic and Eve finish the chores they have to do around the house. Luckily, the house isn't a mess, so it's easy to get everything cleaned up and put away.

Sometime later, outside, Maddie and Eve are doing yoga. They do moves like the downward face ward dog, the warrior poses 1, 2, and 3, and also yoga moves that involve really stretching their arms and legs.

"You're doing really good, Eve," Maddie says.

"Thanks. I like doing Yoga with you," Eve says.

Then turns to see her brother, "Though, I'm not sure if Sonic can say the same."

Maddie also turns her head to see Sonic has also joined the yoga session, and sees that he's feeling the pain.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow..." Sonic says in pain.

Then Sonic asks, "how are you and Eve able to do this, Madddie."

"I've been doing this for a long time. It was difficult at first, but it will take some time for you to get used to the pain," Maddie says.

Unable to do the pose, he collapses on the mat and to the ground. Eve and Maddie ate still standing. The two girls turn and begin laughing.

Sonic stands up, "Alright, I think I have enough of this yoga stuff, I'll just go play with Ozzy."

"Good idea, Ozzy could use the exercise. And I'm sure Ozzy would like to play," Eve says.

Sonic then begins to play with Ozzy. He plays catch with a baseball or a disk, he plays tug a way with a rope, and even tries to teach him some tricks. However, it becomes a bit of a problem when Ozzy keeps kissing Sonic and Eve the first chance he gets. They do like Ozzy, but Sonic says that he's #1 in the best buddy scale for Tom's friendship.

Time has passed, and Tom returns home from work. He soon walks in the living room to see Sonic and Eve playing a video game.

"Hey guys," Tom says.

"Hi Tom, just got home," Eve says.

"Yeah. Hey, I know you both like to race, but try not to do it where anyone can see you," Tom says.

"Yeah. We'll do that, but we gotta run once in a while. Get some open air and all that," Sonic says.

"Maybe, but we should try to find other ways to have our runs. We don't want anyone else's attention like what happened with Robotnik," Eve says.

"You worry too much sis. Besides, Eggman is on the Mushroom Planet, and without the ring, he's stuck there," Sonic says.

"He has a point, Eve," Tom says.

"I know, but I worry that Robotnik will find his way back here. He's a genius with an IQ of 300, even if he is crazy," Eve says.

"He's crazy alright. He's a total nutcase," Sonic says.

"No kidding," Tom says.

Sonic and Eve nod their heads in reply.

Then Tom says, "Come on, I'm sure dinner is ready."

"Sure," Sonic says.

"Okay," Eve says.

Sometime later, everyone is in the living room watching a movie. Even though it's been a short time since they come to live with Tom and Maddie, but Sonic and Eve are able to live a normal life in the city. Of course, they have to remain hidden from the government or anyone who wants to catch them.
