Sonic is sick and Amy takes care of him...

It was another morning in the small village and the residents were going about their business. Knuckles was lifting weights, while Tails was working on a new invention, and Sticks well she was off being weird loveable self, while Amy had just got back from a convention, and she walked to Tails workshop.

''Hey Tails.'' Amy greeted.

''Hey Amy, how was the convention?'' Asked the yellow two tailed fox.

''It was pretty good, got done a day early and I came back here.'' She looked around.

''Sonic isn't here?'' She asked looking for her crush.

''No, honestly, I haven't seen him this morning. he's probably out for a run or something.'' Tails answered.

''Huh alright I'll go check it out. See ya Tails.'' She left.

She then had a hunch that he was at home. She went there and pretended to knock on the door. ''Sonic.''

She walks in and stops when she saw how he was shivering and sweating, and she went over and felt his forehead and gasped. He was running a fever, and she knew she needed to get him to her place and got on her communicator.

''Knuckles can you come here to Sonic's place like right now?'' She asked.

''On my way.'' His voice came.

Shortly Knuckles arrived and looked at Amy. ''Um you know he's sleeping right?''

''Yes, but he's running a fever, and I got stuff at my place to help him.'' She answered.

Knuckles nodded and took Sonic to Amy's place and left.

Amy got some blankets and placed them over Sonic tucking him in and she went to work on soup and tea for when he woke up.

Once they were ready, she went over and sat on the end of her couch and shook his shoulder.

''Sonic.'' She replied quietly as she put a cool cloth on his forehead.

He stirred and opened his eyes to see Amy next to him.

''H-Hey Ames.'' He tried to greet.

''Sh, you have a fever you are going to lay there and sleep. Are you hungry though?'' She asked.

''Yeah, a bit.'' He coughed.

She brought over the soup and sat next to him as she started to feed him.

This surprised Sonic and he looks at her. ''You don't have to do this Amy.''

''I know but you're sick and shaking so I'll take care of you.'' She replied.

''Thanks.'' He smiles and takes a bite of the soup.

Amy carefully gives him more until it was finished, and she gave him some tea and he looked surprised. 

''What was that?'' He asked.

''Tea, it helps. Now you just rest ok if you need anything let me know.'' She replied going to the kitchen.

''Hey Amy um this is going to sound weird, can I lay on your lap?'' He asked looking innocent.

She felt herself blush and looks at him. ''Sure.''

She sat on the couch as Sonic moved his body, so his head was on her lap, and she stroked his quills as he smiles and fell asleep.

Amy turned on the tv watching a show while comforting a sleeping Sonic.

Later Tails came in. ''Hey Amy, how is it going?''

''Great! He's been sleeping the whole day, and his fever is down.'' She replied.

''That's great! I came because you've been here all day, and I thought I could take over for you so you could go meet the others at Meh Burger until you get back.'' Tails offered.

''Aww thanks Tails but it's alright I'll stay here; besides I don't want to move he needs to rest, and he seems to like my lap for some reason.'' She answered.

''I figured you might say that, so I brought you a burger and a drink anyway.'' Tails held up the bag as Amy smiles.

''Thank you, Tails that is so sweet.'' She smiles feeling happy.

''Sure, just let me know if you need me to come take over, I don't mind.'' Tails nodded and left.

That night Amy moved to go to the bathroom and then she came back, and she saw Sonic groggy.

''A-Amy?'' He asked.

''I'm here.'' She answered.

''Can I lay on you?'' He asked.

She smiles and she laid with her back to the end of the couch, and he laid in her lap as she held him as she had a pillow behind her head.

''Mm thanks Ames.'' He said while sleeping.

She smiles and kisses the top of his forehead. ''Night Sonic.''

The next morning Amy woke up to feel that her lap was empty, and she looked around and didn't see Sonic. 

''Hm, must have felt better.'' She smiles as she got up and fixed her couch.

She turned around and jumped back when she saw Sonic standing there.

''Sonic you scared me.'' She gasped sitting back.

''Sorry Amy I just came from Meh Burger and got you some food and some flowers as a thank you for taking care of me when I was sick.'' He smiled.

''No problem, Sonic.'' She smiles.

''I want to make it up to you so tonight I was thinking we could go out and do something tonight if you want.'' He tried.

Amy giggles and nods. ''Sure, sounds like fun.''

He smiles and kisses her cheek and then left. ''I'll pick you up around 7.''

Amy giggles and smiles feeling happy and excited.
