Sonic and the gang go to a dance.

Amy was at her locker getting her books as she had one more class before the end of the day while at her locker, she closed it and saw Sticks and Zoey next to her.

''Hey girls what's up?'' She asked.

''So, who asked you to the dance?'' Asked Zoey.

''Dave and Ryan asked me.'' Amy replied.

''And you turned them down?'' Asked Sticks.

''Yeah, I did, I mean why should a girl go to a dance with a guy when she can go by herself and then maybe find someone to dance with.'' She replied.

''So, Sonic hasn't asked you yet?'' Sticks guessed.

Amy looks at her. ''No, and I doubt he will.''

''Don't think that way. Sonic is always with Tails and Tails is excited about the dance I'm sure he'll convince Sonic.'' Zoey replied.

On the other side of the building Sonic and Tails were walking to their last class.

''I can't wait for this dance! Zoey in my arms as we dance and make out.'' Tails giggles.

Sonic smiles. ''You got it bad; I got condoms if you want to use them.''

''Sonic, we haven't gone that far. So, who are you taking to the dance?'' Asked Tails.

''I don't know. I had thought about asking the twins, but they are already going with someone, hm I don't know.'' Sonic replied.

Tails grabbed Sonic by the arm. ''You're forgetting someone.''

''Who?'' Asked Sonic.

''Amy, who else?'' Asked Tails shocked.

''Oh yeah... I don't know if she'll want to go with me.'' Sonic sighed.

''Why not? Everyone knows you two like each other, the way you flirt and such.'' Tails said.

''I don't know. I mean what if she says no? I can't take that kind of rejection.'' Sonic sighs.

''You're afraid of getting rejected by Amy? Come on if I know her, she'll say yes.'' Tails replied.

''You think?'' He asked.

''Yeah, go ask her before Shadow asks her.'' Tails snapped.

Sonic zipped down the hallways and stopped at the doorway of the classroom Amy was going into same as him.

''Hey Ames.'' He said in his smooth voice.

''Hi Sonic.'' Amy grins raising an eyebrow. ''Is there a reason you're standing in the doorway?'' She asked.

''Yes, before we go in that dance is coming up and I was hoping you'd come with me.'' He asked.

Amy felt her insides jump and she smirks. ''Sure.'' She winks as he lets her in.

They walk in and to their seats with his right behind hers. Sonic felt like doing a dance over getting a yes.

After school Amy was leaving when she saw Sticks who came over. ''Amy, I got asked to the dance!'' Stick shouted.

''Awesome by who?'' She asked.

''Knuckles.'' Stick replied.

''Thats great I just got asked by Sonic.'' Amy giggles.

''Oh yes finally!'' Sticks smiled.

That Friday after school Amy was in her hut home getting ready, she decided to go for a dark pink strapless dress that went to her lower leg and had a slit in it and she was fixing her hair.

''I hope Sonic likes this.'' She told herself looking at her figure the dress clung to her body showing off her curves.

A short time later there was a knock at her door and Amy answered it and saw it was Sonic he was wearing a short dark red vest unbuttoned and his signature shoes as he looks at Amy and was shocked.

''Hey Amy, you look...'' He was at a loss for words.

Amy blushes at how Sonic looked, and she giggles letting him in.

''Thanks, and you look very handsome who knew you'd wear something other then a scarf.'' She joked.

''Well, I figured I better make an effort.'' He smiles.

''It looks good.'' She smiles.

He took her hand and smiles as he led her out of the house and to his motorcycle. ''I hope you don't mind.''

''No, not at all.'' She smiles at how shiny and clean it was.

He got on as she did as well and grabbed onto him from behind.

Sonic drove them to the school and got off helping her off as she held his arm as they walked in.

There were lights everywhere and a big disco ball as music played and animals were dancing all over, so talking and a couple making out in a corner.

''Do they have no shame?'' Asked Amy shaking her head.

''Sme don't care where as long as it happens.'' He replied as he laced their fingers together and they were going to dance when they ran into Zoey and Tails.

''Hey guys! You showed up!'' Tails was excited.

''Yeah, I mean it's a dance and better me then some other guy.'' Sonic replied.

''Well, enjoy yourself and you did awesome working on this dance Amy.'' Zoey replied as they left.

Sonic looked at Amy. ''You came up with this?''

''No, I just helped with the decorations.'' She replied smiling.

He looked at her. ''Let's dance.''

They went to the dance floor and started dancing together. He placed his hand on her waist and held her other one as they were dancing.

Amy felt it was a dream. ''I didn't know you could dance that well.'' 

''I do practice sometimes in my spare time.'' He said as he dips her and pulls her up as they dance together.

Amy and Sonic danced for a bit and went to get a drink as they sat with Sticks and Knuckles with Zoey and Tails.

''Sonic, I thought you weren't going to show up.'' Knuckles replies.

''Well, I wanted to come plus if it was anyone else but Amy, I'd probably say no.'' He smiles.

Later that night when it was over Sonic slowly drove Amy back to her place and she got off the bike.

''Thanks Sonic I had fun.'' She smiles.

''Me too.'' He gets off and walks her to her door.

''So, um Amy would you like to go to the movies with me tomorrow?'' He asked.

''Yes sounds good.'' She leans in and kisses him on the lips.

He kisses back and she pulls away. ''Night Sonic.''

''Night Amy.'' He smiled and went home feeling happy.
