An Original idea. This is what I wanted to happen but thought it was a bit dark.

One sunny day outside on the beach of the small village Team Sonic was hanging out.

Knuckles and Sticks were playing Volleyball while Sonic and Tails were in the shade on the chairs.

''Say has anyone seen Amy?'' Asked Tails.

''I think she said she was helping out with a dance class.'' Knuckles said.

''Huh? What do you think of that Sonic?'' Asked Tails.

Sonic opened his eyes. ''Good for her, I mean this is Amy and whatever makes her happy.''

The rest of the team looked at Sonic. It was no secret that Sonic, and Amy were dating, they had gone on a few dates together and everyone guessed they were dating but they never made it official.

''I noticed that Dixon is back.'' Sticks said coming over and sitting down next to Sonic.

Sonic opened his eyes. ''Oh? When did he get here?''

''I think a couple days ago. I heard he's teaching a dance class.'' Tails said.

Sonic was curious now and a bit worried about Amy.

''Say Sonic want to join in a game?'' Asked Tails.

Suddenly they see Amy coming over she smiled at them. ''Hey guys!''

''Amy about time you showed up.'' Tails said.

''Yeah, sorry I had to stay and help clean up the props and stuff.'' She said sitting down next to Sonic.

''Want to join us in a game?'' Asked Knuckles.

''Nah, I'm going to sit been on my feet a lot.'' She said.

The others went back to playing their game and Sonic looked over at Amy. She may have fooled the others, but he could tell something was off about her.

''Say you ok Ames?'' Sonic asked leaning over to her.

''Yeah, why?'' She asked a bit confused.

''Well, you just have that look that your irritated. How was dance class?''

''It was ok, Dixon is in charge.'' Amy said.

''Oh? What is he in for this time?'' Asked Sonic.

Amy flinched and shrugged. ''He just wants to do a dance contest and asked me to help him.''

Sonic felt his stomach do a flip flop at that. ''Oh? How so?'' He asked.

''I'm helping him teach the others to dance.'' She said.

''He's not hurting you or doing anything to you is he?'' Asked Sonic.

Amy rolled her eyes. ''No, he's not. I'm careful Sonic.''

''It's not that, he doesn't like us.'' Sonic said worried.

''He doesn't like you, and yes, he is greedy he's genuinely trying to teach a class and figured I'd be the most understanding.'' She said laying back.

''You could have told him no.'' Sonic said.

''Yeah, well I didn't. And I'm done talking about this, I'm going home.'' She got up and left.

While they were talking, they weren't aware the others were listening to it.

''You ok Sonic?'' Asked Sticks coming over.

''Yeah, I'm going for a run.'' He took off.

Sonic ran until he came to the community hall and went in to see Dixon setting stuff up and he turned to see Sonic.

''Ahh the annoying blue hero is here, what can I do for you?'' Dixon asked.

''I want to know what's your game here?'' Sonic asked.

''To have a dance contest. Everyone from all over are coming to join in and this is a way to make this town popular and get money in.'' Dixon grinned moving past Sonic.

''So, why did you hire Amy to help?" Asked Sonic arms crossed following Dixon.

He turned to look at the hedgehog with a raised eyebrow. ''For one I didn't hire her I asked if she would be interested in helping me by being my dance partner for the contest and to teach the others she said yes.'' He said smirking.

''What did you promise her?'' Asked Sonic glaring.

''Only that if we win, she'll get two tickets to a spectacular diner and her face will be on the cover of the Newpaper, she'll be famous. Why jealous of your girlfriend hanging out with me?'' He asked teasingly.

Sonic turned red and shook his head. ''No, she not my girlfriend and I'm not jealous, but I don't trust you and I don't want her hurt.''

''Don't worry I'll be nice besides she a beautiful looker, maybe if she not seeing anyone I might try going after her.'' Dixon said.

Sonic hated this and shook his head. ''Sorry to break it to you but she kind of already seeing someone who she is serious about.'' Sonic said.

''Sure.'' Dixon glared as Sonic left.

''Very good everyone now time for the final part that me and my partner will show.'' Dixon said.

Amy came over and grabbed onto Dixon who wrapped his hand around her waist placing it a bit lower than she would have liked and started dancing with her and twirling her, then quickly pulls her against him as his hand gently grazes her butt.

She growls and slightly pulls away as the others copied them and later, they all left, and Amy cleaned up and Dixon came over to help.

''Impressive job.'' He praised.

''Thanks though in future keep your hands to my lower back and not my butt we are only dance partners.'' Amy made clear.

''I know but still if you want to win, we have to be romantic, the way we act counts fora lot so some touching might be involved. Besides it's not like you have a boyfriend.'' Dixon said as his hand brushed over her back.

''Still, I won't be used like that, there is more important things then winning.'' Amy shot back.

''You know our deal.'' He said.

Amy finished and left. ''Good night Amy.'' Dixon said.

She left and headed home and was surprised to see Sonic there.

''Sonic!''

''Hey Amy.'' He smiled as he greeted her.

''Hi what are you doing here?'' She asked.

''I just wanted to be here when you got back, are you ok?'' He asked.

''Yeah, I am thanks.'' She sat down and gulped.

Sonic noticed a slight mark on her wrist. ''So, did you get hurt today?''

''No, why?'' She frowned.

''Well, there's a slight mark on your arm.'' He said.

''Oh, nothing I almost fell, and Dixon caught he from falling by grabbing my wrist.'' She said.

Sonic wasn't too convinced. ''So, I was wondering if tomorrow after dance class you want to go get some burgers with me in the next town over?''

''I'd love that.'' She giggles and hugs him as he hugged back, and they pulled away.

They watched tv for a bit and Amy snuggled into his side. Both knew they were a couple, and they were fine with it. ''Well, I should be heading back.'' Sonic said.

''Alright thanks.'' She smiles and he leans in kissing her cheek

She kisses his cheek back and giggles as they pull away and he left.

The next evening Sonic went to the dance hall and went to the doorway seeing it was opened a bit. He noticed the others had left and it was only Dixon and Amy, he wasn't too fond with how close Dixon was to his Amy.

''You were wonderful, the perfect partner.'' Dixon said.

''What have I said about touching me like that!'' Amy shot back at him.

''Hey now the scouts were here, and I needed them to think we were a romantic pair.'' Dixon growled.

''We can do that without you trying to grope me, you touch me like that again I will hammer you.'' She threatened putting a box away.

''You're a girl who likes it rough I knew it.'' He walked towards her, and she was backed to the wall as he leans over to her.

''Stay back!'' She shouted and brought out her hammer, but Dixon kicked it to the side and pushes against Amy.

''A girl with fire I love it, I think we should work on the romantic part.'' He growls leaning in.

''BACK OFF!''

Before they could react, Dixon was on his back and Sonic was on top of him and punched him in the face a couple of times.

Dixon almost wet his pants and he got up. ''Sonic.''

''She said to leave her alone and if I ever catch you touching her again, I will make you disappear.'' Sonic growled.

He went over and scooped Amy in his arms and ran off.

Later Sonic and Amy were sitting outside the restaurant as their food came.

''How long has he been trying to hit on you?'' Sonic asked.

''Ever since we started the dance class I just wanted to dance with a partner, and he was perfect but all he wanted was nothing good.'' She sighed.

Sonic took her hand and looked into her eyes. ''I think you should be in that dance.''

''How? I'm not trying it with Dixon.'' She said.

''Not him, me.'' Sonic smiled.

''You?''

''Yeah, teach me the dance and we'll go together.'' He said.

Sonic joined Amy as they danced together, and they actually won as the cutest couple.

''I told you.'' Sonic smiled as he pulled her in for a kiss.

She kisses back and everyone cheered for them.
