Lost Boy

Lyrics:
There was a time when I was alone
No where to go and no place to call home
My only friend was the man in the moon
And even sometimes he would go away too
Then one night, as I closed my eyes
I saw a shadow flying high
He came to me with the sweetest smile
Told me he wanted to talk for a while
He said Peter Pan that's what they call me
I promise that you'll never be lonely
And ever since that dayI am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the Woods
Always on the run from Captain HookRun run Lost Boy, they say to me
Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And lost boys like me are free
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And lost boys like me are freeHe sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe
Believe in him and believe in me
Together we will fly away in a cloud of green
To your beautiful destiny
As we soared above the town that never loved me
I realized I finally had a family
Soon enough we reached Neverland
Peacefully my feet hit the sand and ever since that day...I am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the Woods
Always on the run from Captain HookRun run Lost Boy, they say to me
Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Neverland is home to lost boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are freePeter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy darlin
Even Captain Hook you are my perfect story book
Neverland I love you so, you are now my home sweet home
Forever a lost boy at lastPeter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy darlin
Even Captain Hook you are my perfect story book
Neverland I love you so, you are now my home sweet home
Forever a Lost Boy at last
And for always I will sayI am a Lost Boy from Neverland
Usually hanging out with Peter Pan
And when we're bored we play in the Woods
Always on the run from Captain HookRun run Lost Boy, they say to me
Away from all of reality
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free
Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me
And Lost Boys like me are free

Start...

"So how did you get here?" one of the Lost Boys asks.

I tilt my head, thinking, "Well, there was a time when I was alone. I was an orphan, you see, so I had nowhere to go, no place to call home," I look up, smiling, "My only friend was the man in the moon but, of course, he wasn't there during the day..."

I get completely indulged in my own story, as if I'm reliving the events that lead me here.

One night, when I was still a young girl in mind, I closed my eyes and saw a shadow flying high above me. That shadow came through my window and gave me the sweetest of smiles, he said he wanted to talk for a while. Being lonely myself, my heart jumped at the prospect of a possible friend.

His words were endearing, lace with a potent combination of confidence and overall jubilation, "Peter Pan, that's what they call me! Come with me, I promise, you'll never be lonely again!"

And that promise was kept. Ever since that day...

I'm now a Lost Boy, from Neverland and usually can find me hanging out with Peter Pan. When we're bored, we play in the woods, fencing and archery filling our hours with friendly brawls and bantering. We're always on the run from Captain Hook, but he never catches us.

"Run, run Lost Boy!" he calls to me, "But one day, you'll face reality. That reality is me!"

But Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me, and here, we're free.

One day, Peter Pan sprinkled me in pixie dust and told me to believe; believe that he'd catch me if I fall and believe that I could do this, "Together!" he said, holding my hand while we flew when I got the hang of it, "Together we will fly away in a cloud of green! To your..." he stops and looks in my eyes, "Straight to your beautiful destiny."

He was always excited, always seemed out of breath with his excitement. It was contagious and I find where I was quite solemn before, I now grin at the smallest of antics from the others or even the wind blowing my hair.

He brought me home once when I asked him to and as we soared above a town that never loved me, I realized I had a family. Soon enough we were back to Neverland, and my feet peacefully hit the ground. Ever since that day, I know I am a Lost Boy from Neverland, and I'm usually hanging out with Peter Pan. When we're bored, we play in the woods, and we're always on the run from Captain Hook.

"Run, run Lost Boys!" I say to the world, "Away from all of reality! Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me, and Lost Boys like me are free."

Then, that one day at lunch I brought up my past and finish with, "Peter Pan, Tinkerbelle, Wendy Darling," I laugh, "and even Captain Hook, you are my perfect storybook. Neverland, I love it so, now it is my home, sweet home, and forever I'm a Lost Boy at last."

...

"And for always I will say that I am a Lost Boy, from Neverland, usually hanging out with Peter Pan. And when I'm bored I play in the woods, always on the run from Captain Hook." I stop when I hear a stick crack and a distant familiar voice. Captain Hook. "Run, run Lost Boys!" I tell the small gathering around me, "Away from all that is reality."

Neverland is home to Lost Boys like me, and Lost Boys like me are free.
