Is it good to break a Promise?

Don't people always say that

Promises are not meant

To be broken?

I guess that's why it's hard for me

Coz I promised you long back

That I'll always love you the same

now and forever, no matter what

Oh, I figured it out the day you left me

How everything can change at once

Broken promises are like shattered glass

It can break you so bad that you'll bleed

I don't know how you ever did it

How you pushed me away so easily

But I guess you took your time

And moved on to the next chapter

But I won't break my promise

I'm still waiting for you to come back

even though I know you won't

I've been waiting for you all this time

{Oh, I figured...that you'll bleed}

Even then I'll keep my promise to you

Till the day I breathe my last breath

Hoping that It'll always remain

Never passing by its expiry date

I accept my mistake of falling in love with you 

even though I know you'll never be mine again
