4 - It's Not That Easy
"So Cassie, what were the winners like?" Gabe asked, after they'd found Cas and dragged him back to their place.
"I like Dean," Cas said simply.
"Okay and the rest of them?"
"Eh."
"Did you really not pay attention to who else was there?"
Cas just shrugged and Gabe gave him a slightly amused look.
"Cassie's got a crush," Luci sang from the other room.
"Shut up!" Cas yelled back. "Besides...he likes Angel."
"Oh hell no don't you dare make this more complicated than it needs to be," Gabe said. Cas just shrugged again and Gabe gave up.

The next day Sam and Dean, joined by Charlie and Kevin, ran into the final winners of the comp, the two who had done a duet. Jo and Ash.
"Wait," Sam said. "When you said Jo, did you mean Jo Harvelle?"
"Yeah, why?" Dean asked.
"She's just over there," Sam said, pointing to Jo. Dean looked over and smiled.
"Jo!" Dean yelled, waving his arm. Jo turned around and smiled as she saw him.
"Dean," she said, running over. The mullet guy ran behind her. "It's been a while."
"It has," Dean said, pulling Jo into a hug.
"Hey Sam," Jo said before hugging Sam too.
"I had no idea it was you when Dean told me who the other winners were," Sam said, kind of sheepishly.
"Well I had no idea that you'd be here," Jo said. "How have you guys been?"
"You guys know each other?" Charlie asked. She was eyeing Jo. There were high chances of her hitting on Jo.
"Yeah, our Dad's good friends with her parents," Dean said. "But we haven't seen them since we moved away."
"I'm Ash if anyone cares," the mullet guy said.
"Nice mullet," Dean said and Ash smiled.
"So," Charlie said. "Anyone excited to meet the band?"
And thus the fangirling and fanboying began.
~~
Sam, Dean, Charlie, Kevin, Jo and Ash all went to the building in which they were going to meet Heaven's Grace. It was a studio of sorts, probably the place they used to practice.
"Dude I'm going to get to meet Angel," Dean whispered dramatically to Sam.
"Yes, you are," Sam said. "And I get to wait out here."
"Heh, sorry Sammy."
Sam just bitch faced him.
Someone met them in the foyer, a guy wearing a black suit. He glanced over each of them.
"There's one too many," he said in a British accent.
"That would be me, I was just going to wait here," Sam said. The guy blinked and him before shrugging.
"Okay moose." He turned to the rest of them. "I'm Crowley, now, if you'll all follow me."
Crowley led them through a few hallways, to a casual room with couches and tables. "Make yourself comfortable, I'll go summon the angels."
They all sat down, Dean sitting on the edge of the couch, wringing his hands together. Charlie noticed.
"Don't be nervous," she said. "They'll be great, I'm sure."
"But it's Angel," Dean said quietly. Charlie just smiled.
A few minutes later, one of the doors opened, and Gabriel Novak himself walked into the room. Followed by Morningstar, Saint Michael, and Angel.
Angel was the last one to walk in. He was wearing his usual stage attire, make up and everything. He glanced over them, his eyes landing on Dean. Dean's heart stopped for a second, and then flipped when Angel gave him a small smile.
"Hey guys," Gabriel said, sliding over the back of the couch to sit in the middle. "Nice to meet you." Everyone stared back with wide eyes. Gabriel just smiled and chuckled.
"Gabe," Morningstar said. Gabriel looked up with a confused look, and then Morningstar abruptly shoved him over. Gabriel made a little yelping sound as Morningstar then sat in the middle of the couch, Saint Michael beside him.
Charlie blinked at them for a second, her eyes narrowing. Then her eyes widened with understanding. Then she smirked.
"I spy a ship," she whispered to Dean. Dean barely acknowledged her, he was too busy looking at Angel. Who was standing there, in person, right there.
"You guys are brothers," Jo said suddenly.
Gabriel tilted his head. "How did you know?"
"You act the way Dean does with Sam."
Gabriel turned his attention to Dean, who finally looked away from Angel to look at the lead singer. "You have a brother?"
"Yeah, younger," Dean said. "He's a genius..."
"Yeah, our younger brothers a genius too," Gabriel said, smirking slightly. No one noticed the way Angel turned his attention to Gabriel with a glare. "Anyway, proper introductions are in order. I'm Gabriel Novak."
"Charlie," Charlie said brightly.
"Kevin Tran," Kevin said.
"Ash," Ash said lazily.
"Jo Harvelle," Jo said.
Dean probably should've said something then but he'd gotten distracted by Angel again. Angel watched him fail to say his name and smiled softly.
"Dean Winchester," Angel said for him. Dean gave him a wide eyed look and Angel just smirked.
"Okay first thing, you get to know our names," Gabriel said. "Just don't go yelling it out okay?" Everyone nodded in agreement.
"Lucifer Novak," Morningstar said, smirking slightly. There was a moment of silence.
"Who the hell called their kid Lucifer?" Charlie asked.
"Dear father of ours," Gabriel said as Lucifer laughed. "Angel names...couldn't choose normal ones though."
"Like Castiel," Dean muttered suddenly, remembering the blue eyed guy from a few days before. Angel's attention snapped to him.
"You met our other brother?" Gabriel said cautiously. Lucifer shared a glance with Saint Michael.
"Yeah," Dean said slowly. "I uh...yeah."
The band stared at him for a moment before Gabriel shrugged. "Anyway. Michael?"
"Michael is actually my name," Michael said, smiling as he leant back on the couch. He also did put his arm up on the back of the couch as he did, so if Lucifer leaned back... "I'm not their brother, just saying."
"I am though," Angel said quietly. He moved forward to sit on the armrest of the couch with the band. "I uh...I'm just...Angel."
"Oh it's okay, we understand," Charlie said. Angel smiled thankfully at her. Dean was just dying, watching the way that Angel's eyes would crinkle at the corners when he smiled, the way the eye shadow just brought out the blue of his eyes. And the messy black hair...Dean had it bad.
"Anyway, I was curious about if you guys could guess who each of us chose as the winner," Gabriel said, leaning forward on the seat.
"I think Angel chose Dean," Charlie said immediately.
"You, I like you," Gabriel said, pointing at Charlie. "You're smart." Angel smiled at Dean sheepishly as Dean gave him a questioning look.
"And I think you chose me," Charlie said. "Michael chose Kevin, Lucifer chose Jo and Ash."
"Yeah she's smart," Michael said. "How'd you know?"
"It's my fangirl ability to pick up on how people act," Charlie said, smirking and glancing between Michael and Lucifer. Gabriel sniggered slightly, noticing what she was implying.
So eventually, the group conversation broke off into separate conversations. Charlie was talking to Gabriel, Michael and Lucifer were talking to Kevin, Jo and Ash, and Angel hesitantly approached Dean.
(Heads up, Cas speaks with Misha's voice when he's being Angel)
"Hi," Angel said almost shyly as Dean stood up from the couch to talk to him. He noticed that Angel was actually a bit shorter than him. Dean tried to form words and failed. Angel chuckled. "You know, conversations work better when they're two sided."
"Shut up," Dean said, pouting.
"Make me," Angel said, winking. Dean almost had a heart attack. "You're an amazing singer by the way."
"Thank you," Dean said almost breathlessly.
"Have you ever thought about going into a music career?" Angel asked.
"Yeah," Dean said. "But I'm mainly just a mechanic..."
"Oh don't say 'just'," Angel said. "There's more to you than that." He winked again and if he kept this up, Dean would die before he got to rant to Sam about this.
"So," Gabriel said, suddenly cutting into their conversation. "I had a question for you Dean."
"You had a question for me?" Dean said. "Isn't this supposed to be the other way around?"
Angel chuckled and Gabriel just shrugged.
"Who was behind the camera in your video?" Gabriel asked. "Who made that adorable sound?"
Dean blinked before trying to stifle a laugh. "That was Sam..."
"Any chance I could meet him?" Gabriel said, smirking slightly.
"You already did," Dean said, trying harder not to laugh.
"What?" Gabriel asked, confused.
"He asked you for directions," Dean said, not able to hold in the laughter anymore. Gabriel just kind of looked blankly at him as Angel was chuckling with Dean.
"Oh my satan," Lucifer said. "Is that the guy you were going to hit on?"
"Is Sam really tall with long hair?" Gabriel asked Dean. Dean was just full on laughing now, and managed to nod. "I almost hit on your brother."
"If this wasn't so funny I would kill you right now," Dean said, the laughter dying down. "Favourite band or not, you don't touch Sammy."
"What if he wants me to?" Gabriel said, smirking.
"Gabriel don't," Angel said, but was smiling slightly.
"Is he here right now?" Gabriel asked. "He's probably waiting for you isn't he? You know what, I'll be right back." With that, Gabriel turned and walked out of the room. Dean narrowed his eyes and went to follow him, but Angel grabbed his shoulder to hold him back.
"Don't even bother trying to stop him," Angel said, his hand staying on Dean's shoulder. "Once he's picked a target, there's no stopping him."
"I don't want him to take advantage of Sam," Dean muttered. "He's known for one night stands. That'll hurt Sam." Angel's eyes softened.
"I'll make sure he doesn't go too far," Angel said. Dean gave him a smile and then realized Angel's hand was still on his shoulder. It felt like his skin was on fire where his hand was, Dean couldn't concentrate...
Meanwhile, there are other ships to attend to.
Sam had been sitting alone in the foyer for a while. He was taking an interest in a spider building a web in the corner of the room. He heard footsteps approaching suddenly and looked up.
"Oh my assumption was correct," Gabriel said, smirking as he stood there with his arms crossed, looking at Sam. "Dean mentioned you."
"I uh..." Sam said. He definitely recognized Gabriel this time.
"Need directions?" Gabriel asked, smirking. Sam blushed dark red.
"I am so sorry I didn't recognize you that was so stupid of me I just—"
"Hey it's okay," Gabriel said, holding a hand up to silence Sam. "You know...you could always make it up to me." He crossed the room quickly, leaning over Sam who was still sitting down. Sam just stared with wide eyes.
"I uh..." Sam stuttered.
"Dean also mentioned that you made that cute noise in that video of his," Gabriel said. "I wonder...got any other noises I'd like to hear?"
Sam was blushing blood red now, and Gabe just smirked again before stepping back.
"You're adorable," he said. "Especially when you try to become one with the couch out of being shy." Sam glared slightly at that, before standing up to be much taller than Gabriel. Gabriel only smirked more.
"Tall, I like tall," Gabriel said.
"You think I'm just going to be another one of your one night stands?" Sam said, stepping closer to Gabriel. Gabriel didn't say anything, just smirked as he tilted his head up slightly. They were so close, either of them could lean in the tiniest bit more to kiss the other.
Sam paused for a moment, thinking about what he was about to do. This was Gabriel Novak in front of him. The lead singer of a world wide known band.
Sam leaned in slightly for a moment before whispering one word. "No." He stepped back as Gabriel was frozen, looking taken aback and surprised. Sam just watched his reaction.
"Well..." Gabriel said. "If you're going to be like that..." He smirked. "Only makes me want you more Sammy." He turned and walked away, waving to Sam as he went. Sam gulped, wondering what the hell he had just started.
~~
"Please tell me you didn't managed to sleep with Sam within the fifteen minutes you were gone," Cas said later on that day to Gabriel. "I told Dean I'd stop you from doing that."
"He rejected me," Gabe said quietly. Cas looked over at him with surprise. No one ever rejected Gabriel. "I'll get him eventually." He stood up suddenly and walked to the door.
"Where are you going?" Cas asked.
"Well as part of the prize they got tickets to our next concert," Gabe said, smirking. "I'm going to get an extra one sent to Dean. For Sam." He walked out of the room and Cas just sighed.
"Yeah he's not going to give up," Lucifer said, walking into the room and sitting down, Michael by his side as usual.
"Hopefully Sam will be able to deal," Cas said, before standing up and leaving the room.
Michael looked at Luci. "Your brothers and their relationships."
"I know right," Luci said. "Cas is going to make a mess with Dean. In more than one way."
"Can't you keep anything innocent?" Michael asked, smiling slightly.
"I'm Satan, why would I do that?" Lucifer asked.
"Wouldn't want to chase away the good angels would you?" Michael said, smirking as he flopped down onto the couch, lying down so he could look up at Lucifer.
"Oh you have a point," Luci said. "Better teach me how to be a good boy Mikey."
"Could you sound any more suggestive?" Michael asked, chuckling. Because really, they flirted all the time, that was just their relationship. Yet their relationship still stayed as friends...
