14 - Dating Start

"Alright Cas," Dean said, sliding over the back of the couch gracefully and sitting next to Cas. Cas just blinked at Dean's sudden appearance. "We're going out tomorrow."

"Where are we going?" Cas asked.

"Not telling," Dean said, smiling cheekily.

"Then how do I know what to wear?"

"...Okay fine we're going to some nice restaurant because hey you can't go wrong with being cliche."

Cas chuckled lightly, and then Gabe decided to appear in the room.

"Well if you guys are going out tomorrow," Gabe said. "I guess I'll go somewhere with Sam."

"Please don't tell me you actually managed to get him to go on a date with you," Dean groaned.

"Hey he could have denied me," Gabe said. "It was a bet, actually. He purposely lost."

"Sammy why," Dean whispered dramatically.

"Well if everyone's going to be out tomorrow," Luci said, also magically appearing. "I guess that leaves the house to me and Mikey."

"Actually," Michael said, following the trend and also appearing, "I have plans for tomorrow."

"What?" Luci said. "Without me? Why Mikey, I'm offended." Michael rolled his eyes and left the room. Luci turned to the others. "Is it just me or does he seem a bit off lately?"

"You two just need to make up and make out already," Gabe muttered under his breath. Satan didn't hear.

"I feel like I missed a big group thing," Sam said, walking into the room.

"You did," Gabe said. "Also I'm taking you out tomorrow, you have no say."

"Okay," Sam said, shrugging slightly.

Let's do Destiel first, huh?

Dean got dressed up all nicely, wearing a button up shirt and pants other than jeans for once. He'd found a pretty fancy restaurant, and Luci had offered to pay so he figured, why not? He was currently waiting for Cas.

Cas walked into the room where Dean was waiting, wearing a blue shirt that matched his eyes with the sleeves folded up. He also hadn't known how nice the place Dean was taking him was, so he decided to put on a tie just in case. It was a piano tie, the nerd. Dean smiled when he saw this.

"You look great Cas," Dean said.

"You too," Cas said, smiling shyly. Dean took a moment to just stare at Cas before remembering that they had a place to go.

"Well, shall we go?" Dean said, holding out a hand to Cas. Cas smiled and took Dean's hand, letting Dean lead them out to the car.

The drive to the restaurant was short and the two didn't talk much. Cas was just a little nervous, also considering the whole Angel issue. Sooner or later Dean would figure it out, if he just dug deep enough...

Short cut and hey look they're in the restaurant now, wow would you look at that.

"How did you even afford this?" Cas asked.

"I didn't, but your brothers did," Dean said sheepishly. Cas just shook his head, smiling. "So, tell me something interesting about yourself."

"Like what?" Cas asked.

"I don't know, but this is where we're supposed to get to know each other better isn't it?" Dean said. "Got any funny childhood stories?"

"Not really," Cas said. "Oh there was that one time Gabriel pranked Luci...uhh okay that was more than one time." Dean chuckled. "There was that time I got a jar of honey and somehow managed to get a bunch of bees to follow me around."

"Wha—why?"

"I liked bees?"

Dean laughed. "You poor clueless child." Cas pouted.

"Come on, I bet you have some stupid stories."

"Well...not really. I spent most of my time raising Sammy."

Cas's smile softened. "Parents not around much?"

Dean shook his head. "Dad always had to travel for work. Mum...well uh...she died when I was young..."

"Oh Dean I'm sorry."

"It's fine," Dean said, waving a hand. "So...what was it like growing up with all those brothers?"

"Ridiculous," Cas groaned. At this point in time, the food they had at some point ordered arrived. The author doesn't know foods, so what they have is up to your imagination. "Gabriel was a havoc. Lucifer has spent most of his life pining over Michael. The rest of them were just mildly annoying."

Cas looked up to notice Dean staring at him in confusion. "What?"

"You didn't mention Angel."

"I've gotten used to not mentioning him," Cas said stiffly. "He uh...doesn't like being known about."

"Still seems odd that you mentioned all your siblings except him," Dean said, narrowing his eyes. "You know I've never seen you two interacting...do you guys not get along well?"

"It's not that, it's just..." Cas sighed. "It's complicated?" Oh there was no way he could dig himself out of this now. If he told Dean then Dean would just get annoyed that he'd been lying this whole time. "You know it's kind of weird that you're dating me yet totally have a crush on my twin brother."

Dean spluttered. "I do not!"

"You absolutely do," Cas said, raising an eyebrow. He'd noticed Dean staring at him as Angel.

"He's just good looking okay," Dean muttered. "And I mean, what does that say about you?" Cas blushed slightly and Dean chuckled.

And so the date continued, they talked and ate food and eventually went back to the house.

"Well this is normally where we would part ways," Dean said as they stood in the living room of the house. "But uh...I'm kinda staying here too." Cas smiled and stepped over to Dean. He leaned in to kiss Dean on the cheek quickly.

"Thank you for tonight Dean," Cas said. "I had a great time." Dean smiled, before his eyes flicked down to Cas's lips. Cas noticed and gave Dean a challenging little smirk. For a moment Dean was reminded so much of Angel that he almost didn't lean in to kiss Cas. Key word being almost.

Shoulda done Sabriel first, now we're jumping back a few hours to like, midday. Anyway.

"Where are we going?" Sam asked as a cheerful Gabriel led him down the streets.

"Someplace you'll love," Gabe said, smiling brightly. He stopped suddenly, causing Sam to run into him. "Here we are."

Sam turned to look at the place they were in front of. It was a cafe. But also a library and bookshop? The author wonders if this actually exists and if it does can she go there?

Sam blinked for a few moments. He hadn't known what to expect from Gabe, but something actually thought out that perfectly matched his personality was not it. In the time Sam spent frozen, Gabe's smile dropped a little.

"You uh...you were reading a lot so I figured...if you don't want to that's okay we can go somewhere—"

"What no Gabe it's perfect, I just wasn't expecting it," Sam said. Gabe's smile lit up again.

"Well I'm full of surprises," Gabe said, winking. Sam scoffed before turning and walking into the nice little shop place thing.

Sam obviously went to look at the books first, while Gabe got them drinks and found a place for them to sit. Sam ended up reading a book about space, because space is cool, while Gabe was content to just be with Sam, even in silence.

So some time passed like that, until Sam came back to reality and realized Gabriel was probably getting bored. So he stood up to get another book, coming back and placing it in front of Gabe.

"Wha—?" Gabe said, surprised at the sudden book. He looked down at the cover and his eyes lit up. It was a music book, some sort of history thing about all the famous artists from the last hundred years.

"See, reading can be interesting," Sam said teasingly, nudging Gabe's foot with his.

"I never said it wasn't," Gabe replied, poking his tongue out at Sam.

"But you looked a little bored," Sam said. "Thank you, by the way. For bringing me here."

"No problemo Sammo," Gabe said, smiling brightly. And then he immediately became interested in the book.

Time passed and they eventually left, walking back to the house. Oh and they passed a pet shop on the way and Gabe saw puppies. Sam noticed the brief way that his expression lit up with childish excitement, and dragged Gabe into the pet shop without another word.

"Sam what?" Gabe asked, confused.

"We did something fun for me, now let's do something fun for you," Sam said, pushing Gabe over to the puppies.

The person working there at the time recognized Gabriel and was happy to get out the puppies for them and let them hold them.

"Sammy look at them they're so adorable and fluffy and soft," Gabe said, holding a tiny puppy while another one was lying on his head. Sam was trying not to smile ridiculously at the sight, because it was completely adorable, Gabriel included. He quickly took a sneaky photo before picking up another puppy.

"You should get a puppy if you love them so much," Sam said. "It's not like you don't have the room."

"But we're not home all that often," Gabe said. "And travelling with one would just be too much effort, dogs aren't allowed in a lot of hotels you know."

"You raise a good point," Sam said. "Just keep raiding the pet shops then." Gabe smiled and chuckled, still patting the tiny puppy he was holding to his chest.

Sam was totally crushing on Gabe at this moment.

They eventually left the pet shop and Gabe just looked extremely happy and cute. Sam couldn't help leaning down to kiss Gabe quickly, before straightening up and acting like it never happened.

"Wha—" Gabe looked up at Sam with confusion but Sam just kept walking. "Sammy you just—"

Sam didn't say anything, just smirked as he kept walking. Gabe noticed this and smiled.

Michael didn't come home that day.

He came home the next morning in borrowed clothes, freshly showered. Luci was waiting for him in the kitchen.

"Where were you all night?" Luci asked.

"I stayed over at some guys place," Michael said. "We had fun."

"Oh," Luci said. "Okay...I feel like we don't spend a lot of time together anymore."

"Well I don't need you by my side all the time Luci," Michael snapped, and Luci flinched. Michael didn't say another word as he left the room, leaving Luci hurt and confused.

SUDDEN MICHIFER FLASHBACK

"We should try to get you laid sometime," Luci said to Michael.

"Nah I'm fine," Michael said. "I don't need to."

"Oh come oonnn Mikey, stop lying to yourself."

"Speak for yourself, no one ever notices you going on any dates."

"Haven't found the right guy Mikey. Besides, we're talking about getting you laid, not getting you a relationship."

"Just leave it Luci, I'd rather spend time with you okay?"

"Well, I can't argue with that."

Well...yeah I have no excuse for the lateness of this. A month, jeez what am I doing...remember the days when I would update my books multiple times a week?

Well anyway, I've been having a pretty good time recently xD Trying to be more responsible so people will start treating me like the almost adult that I am.

(I totally have a crush on someone and it's killing me, he has a girlfriend and there's also an age gap between us that a lot of people would count as weird)

Anywayyy, have some pie!! *Gives everyone a months worth of pie, your choice of flavour)
