how unfair is it that some people get to spend these years loving and learning and laughing and triumphing whilst others are left behind?

why should we be left to fogs of regret and inadequacy while others are so carefree?

adults say to us, 'these are your best years. you'll look back on these days in ten years and laugh at how trivial all your problems were.'

yet, thanks to mindsets such as these, many people never move past these times. they are snuffed out, forgotten. forever left behind.

but why should they be? why should they be left out, why should so many miss out on these 'golden days'?

they shouldn't.

they aren't.

these kids, they will grow older and have their own golden days. their best years are yet to come, but when they do, they will be glorious.
