Sonic was still struggling to get free but Mephiles is too strong. "Saph?" Sonic glanced at Saphie who was shrugging helplessly.

He then had an idea and glared at Mephiles, "Saph has more power than you'll ever have!" Sonic shouted.

"What?!" Mephiles raised a brow in curiosity.

"She gave you the power! She can take it away!" Sonic yelled.

"Sonic, what are you doing? Why are you bringing me into this?" Saphie was hiding behind the column.

"That's right, Mephiles! You are just second best!" Sonic shouted.

"You're right. Her power does exceed my own...but not for long.." Mephiles smirked evilly as he slithered his way to Saphie.

"The boy is crazy. He's a little punch drunk. One too many hits with the snake." Saphie said nervously.

"SLAVE! I make my third wish, I wish to be an all-powerful GENIE!" Mephiles yelled at her.

Sonic heard this and watched. Flame was almost covered in sand as she holds her breath in.

"All right, your wish is my command. Way to go, blueberry." Saphie said sarcastically to Sonic as she covered her eyes and zaps Mephiles.

Mephiles then transformed into a sinisterly looking Genie, "YESSSSSS!"

His half snake body disappears and Sonic was now free. Flame's hand slowly sank into the sand.

"THE POWER!" Mephiles grew bigger and bigger as he hit the ceiling.

Sonic ran up to the giant hour-glass as he picks up a wooden plank and hits the glass, breaking it. The pile of sand along with her slides out of the hour-glass. She gasped and coughed for air and Sonic helps her up in his arms.

"THE ABSOLUTE POWER!" Mephiles burst out from the roof and gets higher up in the sky with a hurricane tail.

"What have you done?!" Flame cried out as she held onto Sonic from the gusty wind.

"Trust me!" Sonic said to her.

A black lamp then appears on the floor. "THE UNIVERSE IS MINE TO COMMAND, TO CONTROL!" Mephiles laughed evilly as he created a tiny solar system.

"Not so fast Mephiles! Are you forgetting something?!" Sonic shouted to him.

"Huh?"

"You wanna to be a genie? YOU GOT IT!" Sonic grinned.

Golden cuffs appeared on Mephiles' wrists, "What?!" He gasped.

"Everything that goes with it!" Sonic held the black lamp up and Mephiles' genie tail gets sucked in it.

"NOOOOOO! NOOOO!" Mephiles screamed as he got sucked into the lamp.

"I'm getting out of here!" Jet attempted to flee.

"Phenomenal Cosmic Powers!" Sonic said as Mephiles grabs Jet.

"Come on! You're the genie, I don't want-!" Jet got sucked in as well.

"Itty bitty living space." Sonic smirked.

"Sonic, you little genius you!" Saphie gave Sonic a noogie on his head.

Inferno turned back to normal as well as did the Carpet who hugs her.

"Rwar!" Inferno tries to get out of the hug from the Carpet.

Knuckles picked up Stripes. But when he and Flame changed back to their normal outfits, Stripes grew back to an adult and caused the red echidna to fall over. The Palace then returned to its original spot.

"Get your blasted beak out of my face!" Mephiles arguing with Jet inside his lamp.

"Oh, shut up, you moron!" Jet yelled at Mephiles.

"Don't tell me to shut up!" Mephiles yelled back.

Saphie then picked up the lamp, "Allow me. Ten thousand years in the Cave of Wonders ought to chill him out!" She turns to a baseball player and sends the black lamp into the desert.

"Flame, I'm sorry I lied to you about being a Prince" Sonic said sadly to Flame. Saphie watches this moment with tearful eyes.

"It's okay. I know why you did." Flame looked at the cobalt hedgehog.

"Well, I guess...this... is goodbye?" Sonic said, going up to her.

"Oh, that stupid law! It isn't fair. I love you." Flame sighed.

"Sonic, no problem. You've still got one wish left. Just say the word and you are a prince again." Saphie wipes her tear off and goes to Sonic.

"But your freedom?" Sonic asked her.

"Hey, it's only an eternity of servitude. This is love. Sonic, you're not gonna find another girl like her in a million years. Believe me, I know. I've looked for guys." Saphie said.

Sonic held Flame's hands together, "Flame, I do love you. But I've got to stop pretending to be something I'm not."

"I understand." Flame nodded slightly.

Then Sonic looks at Saphie. "Saph, I wish for your freedom."

"One modified Prince wish coming up...Uhh what?" Saphie blinked in surprise when she heard him say that..

"Saphira, you are free!" Sonic held up the lamp. It floated in the air and its magic surrounds Saphie.

Flame and Sonic watched how the magic began to swirl and glow around Saphie and then explodes away. Her golden cuffs disappeared as her lamp's magic faded away and fell on the floor.

She reaches for it and picks it up, "Hehehe, I'm free? I'm free! Quick wish for the Nile, Sonic!" Saphie said.

"Umm, I wish for the Nile." Sonic said.

"NO WAY!" Saphie shouted in Sonic's face but laughed.

She then bounced around like a pinball and hugs them all.

"Oh does that feel good! I'm free! I'm free at last! I'm hittin' the road. I'm off to see the world! I-" Saphie ran up in the air and packed a briefcase but looks down at Sonic who held back his tears.

"Saph. I'm...I'm gonna miss you." Sonic said.

"Me too, Sonic. No matter what anybody says, you'll always be a prince to me." Saphie smiled and hugs him.

"That's right!" Knuckles walks up to them, "You've certainly proven your worthless part as I'm concerned. It's that law, that's the problem."

"Knuckles?" Flame blinked in surprise.

"Well, am I sultan or am I sultan? From this day forth, the princess shall marry whomever she deems worthy." Knuckles said. Flame gasped happily and jumps in Sonic's arms.

"Him! I choose you Sonic." Flame smiled sweetly.

Sonic chuckled and smiled. Saphie then appeared in a Hawaiian shirt, golf-clubs and a Goofy hat.

"Oh, all of ya. Come over here. Big group hug! Mind if I kiss the dragon?" She asked Sonic and kissed Inferno, then coughs out a few of her scales. "Ooh, scales! Well, I can't do any more damage around this popsicle stand. I'm outta here! Bye, bye, you two crazy lovebirds. Hey, Rugman: ciao! I'm history! No, I'm mythology! No, I don't care what I am--I AM FREE!" Saphie said cheerfully before departing into the world leaving a trail of sparkles.

"A whole new world,

A whole new life, for you and me.."

Sonic and Flame sang as they leaned in and kissed. They flew towards the moonlight on the Carpet. After they disappeared, the moon shows Saphie's laughing face.

She then appeared and held the story in her hand, "Made you look!"
