This chapter will be short. I also couldn't think of a name since this chapter is sort of irrelevant to the story so it's just a transitioning chapter.

Time Skip: Next month; Tails' POV

"Sonic! Hurry up or we're going to late!" Shadow called.

"I'm coming! Just a sec!" Sonic yelled back before giving me a quick hug. "Remember Tails, Knuckles is in charge. If Eggman shows up, try your best. Hopefully, we'll be back soon. Love ya and see you in soon!" Sonic added, waving, as he ran out the door. 

I followed, though a little slower. I waved at Sonic as he jumped into our biplane, the Tornado 1 with Shadow. Shadow waved as Sonic took off, heading into the dark blue sky towards his father's house.

"I haven't seen Sonic this happy for a long time." A voice said. I jumped and turned around to see Knuckles standing right behind me.

"Oh! Hey, Knuckles! You scared me!" I said.

"Clearly." Knuckles scoffed. "I'll miss those two."

"It's only for about a week. They'll be fine!" I reassured the red echidna.

"Yeah. You're right. But you know how reclass Sonic can be!"

"Yeah! I'm amazed that's he's not dead yet!" I joked.

"Yeah! Now, come inside Tails. Breakfast'll be ready in a few hours. You'd better set some sleep." 

"Okay!" I responded cheerfully. I WAS tired. In order to make it on time, Sonic and Shadow had to leave at 1:30 a.m! But nonetheless, everyone wanted to see them off. Except for Amy though. She didn't show up.

I wonder why... I thought as I claimed the stairs to my room and collapsed on my bed, falling asleep almost instantly. Tomorrow was going to be a long day without Sonic.

Amy's POV

"Why Sonic?" I whispered into my pillow. I still couldn't get over the fact that Sonic chose Shadow over me! I was his GIRLFRIEND for Mobious' sake!

Sonic never liked you though. You forced yourself onto him. Nagged the truthful voice in my head.

"Shut up..." I moaned as I heard a roaring coming outside. I climbed out of my bed and opened the curtains just in time to see Sonic and Shadow take off into the night sky. 

"Bye Sonniku." I whispered as I climbed back into bed, sleep claiming me once again.

Rouge's POV(The day before)

I woke with a start to someone calling my name and shaking me.

"Rouge. Rouge! Wake up!" Someone said. I groaned as my eyes opened to reveal a black and red blur above me. "Rouge! You have to get up! I need to show you something!"

"Ugg...Shadow? Just a sec honey. Let me at least get ready first." I murmured groggily.

"Fine." Shadow grumbled, then turned his back to me and exited the room as I climbed out of bed. I was in a tank top with a jeweled heart on it and black sweat pants. No WAY was I presentable to company. Even If it was just Shadow.

When I had gotten out of bed and made it, I stripped down and hopped into the shower. I had to make do with a short one but it woke me up nonetheless. 

When I got out of the shower I quickly dried myself off and dressed in my usual clothes. A black jumpsuit with a pink heart over my breasts, white and pink boots and gloves with hearts. After I was dressed I walked to my sink where I brushed my fur, put on my makeup, and last but not least, put in my contacts. They weren't prescription but they gave my eyes their beautiful teal look.

Then, I went downstairs calling, "Shadow honey! I'm ready!"

"Tch. Took you long enough." Shadow scoffed.

"Sorry hun, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do," I replied. "Anyway, what is it that you want to show me?"

"Well...you see uh... I-i'm gonna..." Shadow said nervously.

"Just spit it out, hun." I said impatiently.

"Well, I'm going to..." Shadow said as he pulled a little black velvet box from his pocket.
