I sat down in class as more people scattered in.

"Sonic? Is that really you?" Came a melodious voice. I turned around in my seat to see Zara the Hedgehog, smiling back at me.

"Hey Zara! What's up?" I asked.

"Oh...nothing much, oh! BTW, all of your friends got into CHS! Even Fleetway, Mephiles and Shadow!" 

My heart fluttered when she mentioned Shadow's name.

He's really here!  Dark shouted in my head, He's really here!

I ignored Dark and began talking to Zara. Zara was a light blue hedgehog with dark pink stripes down her spines like Shadow's. Her quills lay flat like mine and she had green emerald eyes. 

She and I talked about the people at CHS and the downsides. 

"Did you hear-" Zara was cut off by the teacher coming into the room.

She seemed like she wanted to say something important, I guess it will have to wait.. She sent me a sympathetic smile.

At lunch, Zarina greeted me with a smile. And all our friends sat with us. 

"Did you hear about the talent show?" Asked Raven, "The 1st prize winner gets a hundred dollars!"

Zarina's mouth dropped open. "No way..."

"Uh, yes way!"

"Well don't you worry your pretty little head about winning 1st prize," said a sappy voice, "I'll be winning the hundred dollars!"

"Fiona Fox. Who said you would anyways?" Zarina asked as she kept eating away at her sandwich, without turning towards Fiona.

"Backoff creep," Amy growled, "And stay away from MY Sonic!"

This was annoying, I wasn't Amy's boyfriend. But I guess she decided we were a 'thing'.

"No, you won't be winning 1st place Fiona Fox, Alex and I will." Sparks said boldly.

Alex stopped half way forking a fork full of salad in his mouth, "We will?"

Sparks just elbowed him in response.

"Ow! Uh yeah, we totally will." Alex said flustered.

"Humph, well, see you soon!" Fiona said sweetly.

I hate her sooooo much.

"Faker, your here?" Said a deep voice that I recognized.

I turned around. To see the Ruby hedgehog I've been wanting to see.

I looked up to see Shadow, Fleetway, Mephiles, Knuckles and Rouge behind Sonic. He glanced over at me, and I sent him a smirk and a wink. He just shot me a glare that could kill.

"Hey Shadow, Mephiles, Rouge, Fleetway, and Knuckles. What's up?" I asked sweetly.

"Nothing much," said Mephiles, "Other than long freaking tests."

I saw Sonic cover the side of his face, facing Shadow, with his hand. His ears were pinned back against his head, his face was pink, and his eyes kept averting from Shadow. I cocked my head in confusion.

"Sonic, what's wrong?" I asked.

He just shot me a look that told me to shut up. If looks could actually kill, I should have been dead 5 minutes ago.
