Brick Jojo

If you want an update on how Blossom and I are doing, then were doing great! After this whole quest, we been sneaking out to see each other, we send each other notes and even go hand to hand combat when sparing class starts. I actually never been more happy in my life.

But if you want an update on how we are treating Boomer, well . . . well get ready. I refuse to let Boomer leave my sight! Blossom thinks I should lay off but I just can't. Boomer is my youngest brother, he can't control his powers, he can barely handle his own emotions. So how is he going to be able to fend off Ace?

He can't!

Boomer is a baby! He may be seventeen but that doesn't mean he is old enough to actually do anything himself. I can't, won't and shall not allow him to face Ace by himself.

"Stop thinking so hard." Blossom said as she grabbed my nose.

I looked at her, "I wasn't thinking."

"Oh yeah. And I don't have pink eyes."

"But you do."

She rolled her eyes, "So whats on your mind?"

I sighed as I put my head on her shoulder. She didn't move, she just waited for me to say something. But I couldn't. I still am scared from the quest. I'm scared that Medusa or Archne will come back to take Blossom back. I'm scared that Ace will really kill Boomer. I'm scared that I won't be able to protect everyone I care about.

"Dunno how to out it in words." I said.

"That's understandable." She said. "But you are not alone, Brick. I'm here. Butch is here. Boomer is still breathing and out of control. We are all here."

"I know that."

"Then stop worrying. Just for today."

I looked up at her. She smiled at me. I sighed and nodded. Grabbing my hands she tugged me up. I groaned, since we just got done with sparing, so I'm a little sore. She giggled as she wrapped her arms around my waist, bringing me close. I put my arms on her shoulders and placing my head on her head.

"Do you wanna sneak out again tonight?" I asked.

"As long you bring snacks."

"I always have the snacks for us."

"Then I'll come."

I smiled in her hair. I wanted to say something else but I heard the camp gasp in horror. I turned around and saw Hades and Persephone walking towards us. The winter around the camp lighten up as Persephone walked by.

"Dad!" Butch yelled as he ran forward.

Hades smiled, Butch tackled him. Hades hugged him back, not saying anything but Butch talked so fast no one understood him. Hades nodded, adding his input but slowly frowned. Butch stopped talking as he looked at Hades.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

Hades never took his eyes off of Butch, "I have a quest for Butch."

Everyone went silent. Blossom grabbed onto me tighter. I looked down and see my feet moving. I didn't know I was moving. Butch looked back at me then back at Hades.

"No!" I yelled

"What is it?" Butch asked, ignoring my yelling.

Boomer grabbed me to help Blossom hold me back. I tried moving but I couldn't. Hades wrapped his arms around Butch again. Like these are the worst words he ever has to say. Butch didn't move, he didn't scream or refuse the quest.

"I need you to find something for me. Something I lost." Hades said.

"That something is?" Butch asked.

"Actually its someone." Persephone said. "We have a map for you."

Butch pulled away to grab the map. He looked over the map with a nod. I couldn't believe it! Butch is going on his first quest. Hades looks like he is going to puke. Persephone has a tight smile. This quest might kill Butch!

Add that on the list for me to worry about.

Blossom Akatsutsumi

Brick might break my arm if he moves anymore. Boomer is the one who actually putting Brick in place. This might give him a heart attack.

I rather not lose him just as I got him. That would suck.

"Brick," I whispered. "Calm down or I'll pinch a nerve to knock you out."

Brick looked at me to see if I'm joking, which I'm not. He finally nod but didn't loosen up. Hades kissed Butch's forehead and left with Persephone. Butch touched his forehead, his face pale as he marched to his cabin. Boomer left us and ran after Butch. The camp slowly collected themselves but some refuses to blink.

"Brick?" I asked

"I can't believe this." He mumbled.

I cupped his face, bringing our foreheads together. He closed his eyes, trying to calm down his heartbeat. Brick mumbled words that I couldn't understand. But he put his shaky hands on my waist, like he needed something real to hold on.

"Hey, hey. We'll get through this together." I whispered.

"I hope so."

"You know what?"

He hummed.

"Screw sneaking out. Let's go out on a date. You and me."

He pulled away with a red face. I smiled as he nodded. Pretty soon he smiled so hard, that I saw the pain in his eyes. He wrapped me in a hug. I laughed and kissed his cheek.

"Why won't you let me be the one to make the first move for once?" He asked.

"Because you're to much of a chicken to do it yourself." I replied.

"Ha ha, very funny. So any ideas what we'll do for our date?"

"Well since you want to pull the punches. How about you surprise me?"

Brick laughed, "Okay. I will."

I smiled and he pulled away. Brushing my hair behind my ear.

"I need to go check on Butch before he leaves for tomorrow." He whispered.

"Hurry back." I said.

"Of course."

He cupped my face, bring our lips together.

Let me just say. I will never get tired of him kissing me.
