Blossom Akatsusumi

I shoved my clothes in a bag but I sat down on my bed. My siblings stared at me, it is my first quest and could be my last. They all gave me a nervous smile, I sighed and grabbed at my charm bracelet. I nodded and grabbed my bag and walked out.

"Blossom!" I heard someone yelled.

I turned and saw my half brother, Ken. He grabbed my hand and put something inside.

"From your siblings. You know that we trust you'll come back." Ken said as I smiled.

I looked down and saw a owl charm. I felt myself smiling and looked at Ken, then I hugged him. Ken buried his face in my stomach, praying in Greek that I would come home safely.

"I'll come back, don't worry." I said as he smiled.

"Athena son's don't worry, it's not in our blood." Ken said.

"We may children of Greek gods but we are also human."

"Are those our mom's words?"

"No, they're mine."

Ken giggled but stopped, I turned and saw Brick. He stared at me, whuch made my heart beat fast. Brick turned away, I sighed and patted Ken's shoulder, then walked after him. Brick walked faster, which made me run after him. I grabbed his arm and made him turn towards me.

"What?" Brick asked.

"We're a team now, and I think we should try to act like one." I said.

"Blossom. I know that your mother is Athena but if you go on a quest with me, son of Zues, then there's a huge chance that you might die." Brick said.

"Don't doubt my skills." I replied.

He smirked and grabbed my hair, making my breath hitch. Brick let go of my hair and walked away, I grabbed at my hair with my face turning red. I pulled my hair in a ponytail and walked after him, and saw him already leaving the camp grounds. Ace ran next to me, and gave me a smile.

His long black hair pulled back in a bun, his skin had a green tint. But he always wore black shades, making him look like a biker version of Ares.

I sighed and walked out of camp grounds then looked back. My second home I love, the place I grew up for three years. I am going to leave, knowing that everything could kill me out there. I closed my eyes and gripped on my back.

"Come on, Pink!" Brick yelled.

We sat on the smelly bus, making me want to puke. Glaring at the floor, listening to Ace's loud rock music and Brick mumbling in Greek. I put my head against the window, closing my eyes. I needed something to do and staying on a bus full of mortals isn't good.

Any attack from monsters could make Ace, Brick and I look crazy just for fighting nothing! And it seems like they don't even care, instead they're acting like slackers. Even though Brick looks really cute being a slacker.

Okay! I admit it, I may have a small crush on Brick Jojo. Even though he makes me go crazy every second, from liking him and hating him. But I also can't like him, I mean I'm a daughter of Athena. And our cabin believes in dating only the smartest and wisest, which usually ends up being Hephaestus and Hecate's cabin. Sometimes Aphrodite cabin.

I sighed and glanced at Brick, watching his red eyes glazed over. He always looked out for everyone but somehow also thinks about himself a lot. His red hair curly shoulder length, his skin has a slight tan.

"Why are you staring at me?" Brick asked, making me jump.

"What? I wasn't staring." I said.

He frowned, "I wasn't talking to you, Brainy."

Brick stood up, I looked out the window and saw an eagle. I raised my eyebrow then looked at Brick, he walked off the bus. I sighed and grabbed Ace's arm and pulled him off the bus. Brick started yelling at the eagle, earning us looks, which made my face turn a bright red.

Bringing me back to the owl memory.

I turned to look at Ace, who started to run towards the store. I called out his name but Brick grabbed my arm. I grumbled and saw the eagle staring at me. Beady black eyes stared into my pink eyes, making me freeze.

Father like son.

I jumped and the eagle flew off, I gulped and felt Brick tugging on me.

"Come on!" Brick yelled.

"You didn't hear that?" I asked.

"A ogre attacking that bridge, I think every demigod heard it. Maybe even Hercules!"

"Wait, you didn't hear the eagle?" 

"How do you think I knew about the ogre?"

I looked back but Brick made me run. I opened my mouth to say something but I heard the ogre yelled. Brick pushed us in an alley and he covered my body, he tucked my head in his chest. I gasped but he hushed me, which made me grabbed on his waist. Loud footsteps made the ground shake, ogre blood curdling scream make me shake.

Please Athena, protect us.

Finally the footsteps stopped, Brick stopped moving. I made a huge mistake of looking, and big green eyes stared at me. He had blue skin and wore a loin cloth, he smirked. Brick cursed and put me behind him, I narrowed my eyes.

Brick yelled as he ran towards the ogre, but I pushed him back. I ran under the creature. I pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed him in the back of the knee. The ogre fell and I jumped back, I looked and saw some mortals looking my way. I narrowed my eyes and turned seeing Brick stared at me in amazement.

"How did you know that?" Brick asked.

"Daughter of Athena." I said, which made him smirk.

"Good." Brick said.

I blushed but he glared, which made me put my hands on my waist. He pointed his finger my way.

"Where were you?!" Brick asked.

I opened my mouth but a male voice answered.

"I thought I saw something." Ace said.

I looked back and saw Ace, but a dark flame appeared behind him. I gulped and blinked a couple of times. The flame disappeared but the creepy feeling stayed. Brick sighed then kicked the ogre.

"We should get out of here before his friends come." Brick said.

Ace walked after him but I remembered what the eagle said. Father like son. But who was the eagle talking about? Brick or Ace?
