Jim's POV

Ever since we found out about Claire having a baby,we knew it would be bad if I was around.Morgana isn't dead and she is coming back.If she found out about my son,he will be a target for danger.

To keep my family safe,I left.I didn't want to abandon my son like my father did me but it was the only way.

Merlin erased all memories of trolls from everyone in Arcadia.Including me being one.Anyway,Blinky and Merlin also lives in the forest with me.

It was a good plan for 12 years until a boy,who i knew,was standing in front of me.

Mathew was here.In the forest,starring at me.I gave a nervous grin as he screamed and started running for his life from me.

"Wait!",I yelled as he ran away.

"Do I really look that scary?Gosh",I muttered as I ran after him.He tripped and fell down into the road.As a truck was coming,I used my speed to grab Mathew before the truck could hit him.

I brought him back to my cave and sat him down on a pile of leaves.Living in the forest has been rough but I collected enough leaves to make a comfy bed.

I sat in worry.Does Claire know that Mathew is here?Why is he here?What happened?

I started to hear grumbling.I looked over to see Mathew waking up.

Mathews POV

I sat up and looked around.

"My head",I muttered.

"You hit your head pretty hard",someone said.

I turned and saw the blue person with horns.I yelped and ran out of the cave to see water below me.A hand caught the hood of my jacket and pulled me back into the cave.

I think my life just flashed before my eyes.I fell backwards onto the ground and starred in utter shock at the big animal in front of me.

I looked around and grabbed a stick."Stay back",I said as I pointed it at him.

He lowered my hand and gave me a smile.

"I'm not going to hurt you"

"What are you?",I asked.

"Well...I-I'm a troll",he said.

"You're a what!"

"Look,I know it's weird-"

"I didn't mean to find a blue troll.I was trying to find my dad!",I said as I stood up.

"Well,I don't know how to say this but...I'm your dad",he said.

"What?No your not!Did you eat him?",I yelled.

"First,Trolls don't eat people Mathew and second,I am your dad",he said.

"This is unbelievable",I muttered and I looked behind him.

On the wall was pictures of mom and me.There was a few pictures of my mom and dad when they were in high school.One picture that caught my eye was dad and mom together.

He took the picture down and held it.

"That's you?"

"Yup,me and your mom.She was pregnant with you",He said.

"Oh man.My dads a Troll!"

"Yup"

"So you're telling me that my dad is a hideous blue troll with stone for skin and is super tall!"

"Pretty much.Wait-hideous?Thats a bit strong?"

"How!Your a monster!I can see why you ran away",I said as I crossed my arms.

"Whoa,hold up.I didn't leave because I was a troll.I left because I'm the Trollhunter",he said.

"A what?"

"You see,when I was 16,I found a amulet in the canal in Arcadia.Turns out that I was chosen as the protector of troll kind.First ever human Trollhunter.Anyway,I made a lot of enemy's that were always after me.
You're mother and I was dating while all this was going on and let me tell you,she was an awesome sorceress.
Eventually,the last battle I had forced me to turn into a troll to defeat them.Thats when your mother confronted me about her pregnancy with you but it was to late.I was a troll and it was permanent.I needed to leave to protect you and your mother from Morgana.A sorceress that we didn't kill but locked away in another dimension"

I stood there with my mouth hung open."You're joking right?"

"Never.Why do you thing I'm wearing armor?"

I shrugged.

"Does your mother know that your out here?"

"Um yeah.She gave me the address and told me that I should meet you"

"Your lying Mathew.I know it.Tell me the truth"

"I found the letters"

He sighed."You took a big risk coming all the way out here.You could have gotten in serious danger"

"Well you and mom have been lying to me my whole life!"

"I know and I'm sorry I wasn't there for you but know that you know about me,you're in serious danger"

"Indeed he is",a voice said.

I looked in the corner as a old man in armor walked out.
