The First Night On Raw
4:30 am. Monday Morning after Survivor Series
3rd Person POV
Jason just woke up and is ready for his first night on RAW. The only problem: the two people he is riding with are still asleep and will most likely stay that way for awhile. So, to keep himself busy, Jason watches some of his dad's matches on the WWE Network. The first match he chose to watch was his dad's first world title win. Half way through the match, he gets a text from someone he considers to be his brother: William "Wade" Jacobs, the son of Kane. William and Jason used to wrestle all around the world, including the UK and Japan.
Wade: Nice work last night. They're putting you in a feud with the Fiend?
Jason: They don't have everything set yet. From what they told Bray and I last night, I'm supposed to make it clear to the WWE Universe and the others in the locker room that the Fiend isn't a rogue face of fear. Do they have any plans for you yet?
Wade: Uncle Vince said that they have an idea for a gimmick I could do once my pec heals.
Jason: It isn't Isaac Yankem, DDS Jr. is it?
Wade: Lol. I sure hope not. Bruce Prichard came up with it. He said he'll talk to you about it tonight when you get to the arena.
Jason: Alright. How's the injured life treating you?
Wade: It honestly sucks. The doc said that he's gonna test me today and see if I'm medically cleared to wrestle. I'm hoping for the all clear.
Jason: I am too. I can't have my tag partner staying injured on me and leaving me on the main roster all alone.
Wade: I'm sure you'll be fine. You're 6'11" and I've seen you toss Braun across the ring, keep up with Aleister Black in a kickboxing match, and out punch Corbin.
Jason: All good points. Rn I'm just waiting for the other two to get up.
Wade: You're gonna be waiting for awhile. What're you doing up this early anyway?
Jason: I always wake up earlier than everyone.
Wade: You're watching your dad's matches, aren't you?
Jason: Yep. I am trying to combine all of the versions of him into one dark entity under my name.
Wade: Good luck with that. I'm flying back to the states tomorrow, so I'll do my best to meet up with you.
Jason: Sounds good brother. Get some rest. You'll need all your strength for that test.
Wade: I'll talk to you later.
Jason: See ya man.
Now that the conversation is over, Jason watches another match of his father's from WrestleMania 14: Undertaker vs. Kane. While watching, Jason is taking mental notes for what he could do for his character. He also starts working out while watching the match, doing push-ups, Russian twists, and mountain climbers. After the WrestleMania 14 match, he watches several matches from his dad's Deadman Inc. days. The last match he watches is the ladder match for the Undisputed Championship. Right as Taker raises Jeff Hardy's hand, there's a knock at his door.
Jason: Come in.
Bray: Hey, we gotta get going soon. Already ready huh? Well let's go. Lexi went with Nikki to get coffee earlier so it'll just be us.
Jason, grabbing his bag: Alright. Let's get going.
Timeskip to the arena
Bruce Prichard approaches Jason as soon as he finds him to discuss storylines and Wade. Bruce and Jason shake hands before talking.
Bruce: Hey Jason, I need you to come with me really quick.
Jason: Yessir.
After a quick walk to Brother Love's office, the two sit down and begin discussing the possibilities.
Bruce: I'd like to talk to you about Wade. We had an idea of a gimmick for him similar to yours. We said we'd talk to you about it first, but the idea is to have him be Kane's successor. With him being Glenn's son, we thought it'd be interesting to see the children of the Brothers of Destruction interact with one another.
Jason: Sounds good to me.
Bruce: Good. Then you two both agreed to it. I know you have a big night tonight so you can go ahead and get ready.
Jason, standing up and shaking Bruce's hand: Alright. Thanks for checking with me about this. Have a good night.
Jason makes his way back to catering when he is ambushed by two familiar faces and one person he's never met.
Lexi: Hi Jason.
Jason: Hey Lexi. This (he says while turning to face the third person) must be Nikki. Lexi doesn't stop talking about the stuff you two used to do together.
Nikki, squeezing Lexi in a hug: Awwwww Lexi.
Jason: So Bray, what's the plan for tonight?
Bray: A standard 1-on-1 between you and the Fiend. They told me to ask you if you had any ideas. So do you?
Jason: Actually, I do. I already spoke to Uncle Vince today while we were driving to the arena. Do you remember the casket matches?
Bray: You want to have a casket match?
Jason: Not exactly. Here's what I'm thinking...
Timeskip to The Fiend vs Jason the Undertaker
Cole: Welcome back to RAW ladies and gentlemen. You are just in time for our next match. It's The Fiend, who claims to be the embodiment of fear vs. Jason, the Undertaker's son, the Reaper Reborn. Corey, what are your thoughts on this match?
Graves: The Fiend has been terrorizing the WWE for over a year now. He stepped up and filled in the spot left empty by the Deadman. Now, he has to defend his position from the heir, the successor to the Phenom. Jason on the other hand, has to reclaim what is rightfully his. This should be an interesting match.
Jason POV
Bray makes his usual entrance as I mentally prepare myself for the upcoming battle. Just then I hear my phone go off. I check it to see three texts:
Wade: Good luck cousin.
Mom (Michelle McCool): You've got this, Jace.
Dad: You got this Jason. Make sure the Fiend rests in peace.
Laughing at his dad's text, Jason hands his phone over to Hunter as his music hits.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
A/N: I do not own this video or the music behind it.
The song starts to play after a couple of bell tolls. After the Latin words, there's a pause in the music when a thunderous voice speaks.
Voice: Rest. In. Peace.
As the music picks up, I make my way out of the gorilla. My entrance and ring gear are essentially the same as my father's, only instead of wearing tights, I wear pants closer to the kind Roman wears. I slowly make my way down to the ring, I can see Bray pacing in the ring before choosing a corner and squatting in it. Once I get to the steps, I climb up and stand in front of the corner, staring at Bray. Then, I shoot my arms into the air and roll my eyes to the back of my head, causing the lights to quickly return to their original color. I hold onto my hat as I step between the top and middle ropes. As I stand across from the Fiend, I reach up and take off my hat, my eyes rolled back once again. As the ring announcer introduces Bray, I shake off my jacket and stare down the man in the clown mask. This isn't my friend Bray that I'm against and I'm not his friend Jason. I'm the new Undertaker and he's the Fiend.
3rd Person POV
The bell rings and the two approach each other. They stand inches away from each other, the height difference and the difference in stature between the two are on full display for the world to see.
Cole: Look at the size of that man.
Graves: That's no man, Cole. That's a monster.
The Fiend looks up at Jason before holding his arms out wide, and laughing. Jason responds by rolling his eyes to the back of his head and sliding his thumb across his throat. The Fiend drops his arms and takes a couple steps back. While the Fiend is shocked from his mind games failing, Jason begins to step towards him. The Fiend continues to back up until he realizes he's running out of space to back up into. Then, he makes his mistake: he takes his eyes off of Jason. Jason rushes Bray, wrapping his hand around his throat and forcing him into the corner. Pushing the Fiend's head over the top rope, the ref desperately trying to push Jason off. The ref begins his count with Jason letting go at four. The Fiend drops to the ground before using the ropes to stand back up.
Graves: Is...is the Fiend laughing?
Cole: I believe he is Corey. What is going on inside the twisted, demented mind of his?
Graves: I don't know, but I think we may find out tonight.
The Fiend runs straight at Jason, only to be met by a boot to the face. Not waiting on Bray, Jason reaches down and grabs him by the throat, lifting him up to his feet, then raising him over his head. Jason holds Bray in the air for awhile before driving him into the mat with a chokeslam.
As the match draws closer to its end, Jason prepares to hit Bray with a tombstone. That is until Alexa Bliss runs out to the ring, getting the attention of the Reaper Reborn. Jason drops Bray and turns around to face Little Miss Bliss. Bliss begins to yell at Jason until he raises one hand, as if he is calling her into the ring. If only she and Bray were so lucky. A mist appears throughout the arena as druids march down to the ring.
Graves: What are those druids doing here?
Cole: I don't know, but what is that they are bringing down to the ring.
Graves: It's a casket, Cole! It's a casket!
The cloaked druids bring the wooden casket next to the ring and open it. The Goddess of WWE looks behind her, then back to Jason with a face filled with terror. From behind, Bray runs at Jason. As if he had eyes in the back of his head, Jason side steps the Fiend's advance, causing him to run into Bliss and knock her into the casket. The druids close the lid of the casket and begin to drag it back up the ramp. The Fiend turns around into a boot to the stomach, only to be hoisted over Jason's head and being driven into the mat with a Last Ride. The Keeper of Souls slides his thumb across his throat, signaling the end for the Fiend before hitting him with a tombstone piledriver and covering him in true Undertaker fashion.
Cole: That's gotta be it.
Ref: 1. 2. 3.
The bell rings and Jason is victorious over the Fiend.
Timeskip backstage
Braun: I've never seen anyone do that to the Fiend. Great job, Jace.
Jason: Thanks Braun. Now go out there and show Keith Lee why they call you the Monster Among Men.
Braun: You know I will.
Jason continues making his way backstage where he meets up with the druids and Lexi.
Jason, to the druids: Nice work guys and gals. I'll see y'all next week. (Now turning to Lexi) You alright? You took quite the bump out there.
Lexi: Yeah, I'm okay. I'm just glad everything you planned went well.
Bray: Of course it went well. He had us to insure it did.
Jason: True. You two did great tonight.
Bray: I know you already answered Jace when he asked, but are you sure you're okay? I ran at you a little hard and I saw your head bounce around in that casket.
Lexi: Yep. I'm all good. The doc already examined me, I'm still cleared to wrestle. I'm just glad they padded that casket.
They all chuckle a bit before heading back to their locker rooms and grabbing their bags.
Jason is the first to make it to the car and loads up his bags. Then Little Miss Bliss arrives.
Jason, while loading her stuff into the trunk: Where's Bray?
Lexi: He said he's riding back home to see JoJo and his girls.
Jason: Makes sense. Guess it's just you and me?
Lexi: Actually, I think Braun is supposed to join us.
Jason: Good deal. You can go ahead and hop in the car. I'm sitting in the back anyway.
Lexi makes her way to the car and gets on her phone, looking through her social media.
Jason: Hurry up, Braun. For such a big guy, you walk real slow.
Braun: Ha ha shut up. Not everyone has long legs like you. Ask Lexi, she can tell you the struggles of being short.
Braun and Jason laugh at Lexi's expense. She can hear their bellowing laughs from inside the car and even laughs a little herself.
Lexi: Hey, Braun, once you two are done comparing sizes, can you decide where you'd like to sit?
Braun: I'm gonna regret this but you can drive. I'll ride shotgun.
They all climb into the car and leave the arena and head to the nearest restaurant to feed the hangry monster and the reaper.
End of chapter.
A/N: Thank you for reading the second chapter. I own the two OCs (Jason and Wade) and the plot of the story. Everything else belongs to their respective owners. Once again, thank you for reading and I'll talk to y'all next time.
