Perseus's POV:

We boarded the ship, and Thalia immediately went off to get her laptop to track Annabeth.

Nico however came over to me "we need to talk privately" he said.

I shrugged still trusting him and went towards the bow of the ship and sat up there. "There's too many people to get private private" I told him, "but this is the best I can do"

He leaned over to me in whisper, "the doors need to be shut from both sides."

As soon as he finished dread filled me. The others, except Thalia and maybe Jason wouldn't be able to survive there.

"That's not good" I said

"You don't say" Nico said sarcastically

I rolled my eyes at his sarcasm. Thalia's influence no doubt.

Now I know what some of you are going to be asking but Perseus what about your sisters. They could survive.

I mean you'd be right but if you think I would willing allow any of my sisters, even the most annoying one, Zoë, to go there you're as insane as a sober Bacchus or just a normal Ares. Seriously what kind of brother would I be making them travel to the very depths of hell.

"So what are we going to do" Nico asked after a few moments of silence.

"Well I don't think you're doing anything. Bianaca is here and she's very not happy right now"

Nico paled, "please tell me it's directed at dad and not me"

"Well I can't tell. Plus there's also Will who is probably going to tie you down to a medical bed soon"

Nico paled again and started hiding behind me. "Please no. I'll be a good boy I promise. I don't need to be tied down"

"I never said I'd help him lil cuz" I joked laughing at how Nico was reacting. Glad that his time down there and in his prison didn't change him all that much.

Thalia came up on deck and went to tell Leo to head somewhere then started looking around till she found me.

Thalia came running over laptop still in hand, but briefly stopped and talked to Jason before he gave a confused shrug.

"Hello my little apprentice" Thalia said happily rubbing Nico's head much like how Phoebe or Zoë would rub mine.

Nico blushes in embarrassment and tried to get away.  "Not cool cuz" Nico muttered.

"So Annabeth wants some tapestries but after the statue is secure and I convinced Jason to help." Thalia said

"Well he'll probably do all the work" Nico stated

"What do you mean" Thalia asked

"The doors of Thanatos...they...they need to be sealed from both sides" Nico informed Thalia.

Thalia got the same look I had when he told me, then looked at me. "What are we going to do" she asked

"We both know the others won't make it down there Thals" I said to her, "I think you already know and accepted it"

Thalia sighed in resignation. "Yeah" she said depressed. "Should have asked my father for a one time use of his aid no questions asked and no denial" she said

"Who knows. Maybe Annabeth needed the blessing on her quest to stay safe" I told her. Though I'll admit having one of the big three would be a nice asset for this.

"I'm going wi" Nico started before Thalia turned and glared at him.

"You are not going with us. You will guide the others to the mortal side. Am. I. Clear" Thalia stated in a slightly scolding tone, to which Nico nodded rapidly.

"Good" Thalia said happily, opening up her computer and sending a quick message to Annabeth.

"Don't tell anyone about this conversation Nico" Thalia said to him, "less you want me to shock you upon our return"

Nico nodded again, before returning to midship where he was tackled by Bianca who stepped out of the shadows.

"Should we help our little cousin" Thalia asked

"Nah" I said, "it's best not to interfere with a sister scolding her little brother"

Thalia paused for a moment, "yeah you're probably right" she said. "Anyway I'm going to go scold Jason now for something he did when he was two." She added and walked off to Jason before I heard yelling about a stapler and how dare he not listen to her.

Thankfully I avoided my older sisters scolding as most of them were settling our younger sisters for bed. So I walked over to the craziest war goat ever. "Can I just fire this please" coach asked

"When we get to where we can get Annabeth" I said. Honestly this goat is crazy for explosives and violence.

"We're here" Leo shouted

"Aim for the alleyway between the parking garage and building coach" Thalia shouted

Coach did just that and fired the ballista, opening a hole into the underground of Rome where I could see a faint golden glow coming from. The statue after thousands of years finally sees the light of day.
