Chapter 6: hunt interrupted

Time seemed to fly after that day. The summer ended, and fall began. The leaves changed color, and everything seemed to be going well. That was until someone had interrupted my hunt.

🐺🐺🐺

An antelope sat in the middle of a clearing head down, eating the grass. There was nothing special about it—just a healthy animal going about its daily life. Or at least it was before it snapped back up at the sound of something. The mammal decided it was not going to risk death and ran off.

It was a good thing too because after it did, a hell hound jumped out of the bushes with an individual hunter on its back. A sword hilt deep into the hound of death. He twisted it, making the beast rear up and roar in pain. Percy gripped the fur to stay on as the creature tried to knock him off. Everything was going great.

Then a kid who looked exactly like him popped up out of nowhere, very confused.

"What the?" The boy looked around. Percy was distracted by the kid leading to him being knocked off the hellhound and crashing into a tree.

"Mother fucker." Percy groaned, rubbing his side. The boy rushed over to him.

"Oh jeez, are you ok?" The eleven-year-old asked the son of the moon.

"Does it look like I'm ok? You ruined my hunt. So you're going to fix it. Or die trying." Percy told him. The boy rubbed his neck nervously but nodded.

"What do I need to do?"

"The sword in its back can transform into a scythe. Get the sword and cut the damn thing's head off with the scythe." The prince of the animals told the boy. Said person nodded.

The kid jumped onto the beast's back, extracted the blade, and pressed a button. The sword was a broad sword that was one-sided with what looked like lines in the blade. The blade curved as a stick extended from the hilt. The boy smirked before jumping off the beast and did circles around the hellhound's neck until it turned to gold dust. Percy clapped softly.

"Well done. Now, who are you?" Percy asked.

"Oh, I'm Percy, but I'm guessing you're also Percy, so call me psychí," the now-named boy said.

"Alright, then psychí. Call me, Zoi." Percy smiled, holding out his hand. Psychí happily shook it.

Ok, bad news I almost fell asleep before posting this. Good news. I woke up with a good bit of time to post it, so yay! Anyway, this week's guidebook chapter is a request chapter. Meaning you guys can comment on what y'all want. Worldbuilding? You got it. References? You got it. Character explained? Sure. A skit with the character? Hell ya, I'll do that. So yeah, it's up to y'all to request.
