Chapter 12: The Night and Morning Before the Quest.
I sat at the base of the tree, watching the reddish-orange sky, waiting for the moon to come up. Seeing the moon and stars would calm me down far more than anything else. The prophecy I had been given ran through my mind.
You shall go west,
And face the god who has turned.
You shall find what was stolen and see it safely return.
You shall be betrayed by one who calls you a friend.
I sighed. 'So we need to go west, that part is obvious. A god who has turned? The best candidate would be Hades, but the amount of times Thanatos has said his father did things like that is practically zero. And the one time he did was for his wife's safety. I'll find what was stolen and return it to Zeus, but someone will betray me.'
Before my thoughts continued to run ramped, a hand waved in front of me. I shook my head and saw thalia in front of me with a smile.
"It's alive!" she teased, sitting down next to me. I rolled my eyes.
"Hey, Thals." I smiled.
"Hey. not that I'm mad or anything, but two nights in a row? What's the occasion?" she asked. I sighed once more.
"I leave for a quest tomorrow morning."
"What?! Have you even been claimed yet?!"
"Yeah. I have."
"By who?"
"Artemis..." I said quietly. I looked at her to see wide eyes.
"I thought she was a maiden goddess," she said softly.
"S-she is! I'm adopted." I rubbed the back of my head, nervously.
She asked more questions, some about the quest and some about living with the hunters until the night grew late. At some point, we started talking about the stars, reminding me of Daisy, until we both passed out.

I woke up before Percy, just before dawn, and noticed a wolf pup sleeping in Percy's lap. It was adorable. I looked down the hill to see people making their way up the hill. I smiled at seeing Annabeth and Grover.
When the two plus Chiron made it up to my tree, Chiron sighed.
"Is this normal?" he asked, pointing at Percy.
"No." Grover shook his head. "It's usually a fawn."
I chuckled when Chiron rubbed his eyes.
"At least he's here early?" said Annabeth, but it sounded more like a question.
"Someone wake him up, please."
"I've got this," Grover said. "Percy, someone tried to set the forest on fire."
Much to my surprise and amusement, it worked.
"Swear to the gods I will kill them!" he looked around before focusing on the group. "Oh. morning."
I laughed at the deadpanned looks they were giving him. He glared at me as the wolf pup ran off.
"Once Argus gets here, you will be free to leave," Chiron told them. Percy adjusted the straps of his backpack as if he was nervous.
"Right. Chiron, who do you think the turned god is?" he asked, still fidgeting with his bag.
"Your best option is probably Hades," Chiron said.
"Right..." Percy looked a little disappointed at this. I frowned. At some point, Argus arrived with a van. I wonder how good of a driver he is with all of those eyes.
A kid ran up the hill, holding something.
"Ethan!" Percy smiled. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to see my friend off, is there something wrong about that?" Ethan gave a smile that creeped me out.
"No, of course not!" Percy smiled nervously. Ethan took out a pair of shoes.
"Here. these should help you on your quest." Ethan still had that creepy smile. "Maia!"
The shoes grew wings. Percy smiled as he took them and gave Ethan a quick hug before joining the other questers in the van.
"Good luck," I said as I watched them drive off.

Ok, I just spent like two hours typing up chapters, so that's why this is a bit later than usual.
Anyway, these are your choices for this weeks guidebook chapter:
1. James Cantu
2. ??? (Surprise choice)
3. Chaos's and Order's powers
4. Only a little
As always, choose wisely.
