thirty
Everyone spent the first day in Italy being lazy. James and I spent the whole day in bed, laying in the sunlight and whispering sweet nothings to each other.
Jolie announced that she was going to the beach, and Regulus tagged along with her. Coincidence? No, it's just the start of a new romance, well, hopefully. Remus managed to talk Sirius into going to explore the town, despite the latter wanting to go to the beach as well.
However, after getting some much well-needed rest, the morning of our second day in Amalfi, Italy, we were all ready to start ramping up.
When I woke up, Sirius and Remus were chatting in the kitchen, wide awake.
"Good morning, boys." I mumbled as I tugged on the hem of my t-shirt.
Sirius grinned, "Good morning sunshine, I went out this morning and stocked up on the alcohol."
"Thanks?" I muttered, leaning against the kitchen counter. "It's not even ten in the morning, how long have you been up?"
Remus rolled his eyes, "He's been up since seven, and I'm surprised that he didn't wake you up because he was being so fucking loud as he got ready."
I laughed, "Per usual, coffee?"
"Got some of that too," Sirius replied, "It's the cabinet to your left."
I nodded at Sirius and began to get out the coffee grounds and a mug.
"Is everyone else still sleeping?"
Remus nodded, "Yeah, Jolie and Regulus were out late last night."
"Since when did they go out? I thought they just went to the beach."
Sirius smirked knowingly, "They did, then they got dinner, then they came home, but then you and James went to bed and they decided to go out."
"Interesting," I grinned, "We didn't even need to scheme to get them together-, well, they're not together, but-"
"You technically did scheme by inventing the both of them on this couples trip." Remus teased, crossing his legs under the table.
Our gossip was cut short as the sound of footsteps echoed on the stairs.
Moments later, Regulus Black walked into the kitchen. His hair was tousled and messy, his black t-shirt was wrinkled, and his plaid pajama pants hung low around his waist.
"Good morning." I cheered as Regulus took a seat across from his older brother.
He ran a hand through his hair, "Good morning, how long have you been up?"
"Not long," Sirius quickly replied, "Where's Jolie?"
Regulus's face blushed for the slightest moment before returning to normal. "Sleeping,
I assume."
"Yeah," I clicked my tongue, "Rough night?"
Regulus looked up at me with a confused look on his face, "What are you suggesting?"
"They think you and Jo have sexual tension-"
"Moony," Sirius hit his boyfriend's arm, "Shut the fuck up!"
Regulus stuttered, "I-, I do not have feelings for her!"
"We didn't say you had feelings," Remus joked, "We said sexual tension."
I grinned at Regulus, clutching onto my coffee mug. "It doesn't matter what we said, what matters is that Jolie's amazing, and she's worth letting your guard down."
Regulus shook his head and laughed softly, "You lot are insane."
"Insanely good looking-"
"Please shut up, Padfoot."
I turned around and saw James walking into the kitchen. We had been so engrossed in our conversation that we hadn't heard him come downstairs. His black hair was tousled, looking even messier than normal, and he was wearing grey sweatpants, that hung low around his waist, paired with a Queen band t-shirt.
"You look cute, darling." I teased, kissing James on the cheek.
He loosely wrapped his arms around my neck and smirked. "Oh please, I always look cute."
I laughed as James gave me a quick kiss on the lips.
Regulus fake gagged, "See, I am not James, and Jolie is not Daphne, so even if I had feelings for her it would never be like that."
"So what?" James joked. "You can't be scared to let your guard down just because of the could never's."
"Prongs is right." Remus muttered as he took a bite of his toast.
Before anyone else could pester Regulus on the subject, a final set of footsteps echoed softly on the stairs as Jolie made her way to the kitchen.
Her normally tamed hair was pulled up into a messy bun, stray hairs sticking out here and there.
"Good morning." Jolie muttered as she made a beeline for the coffee pot.
I smirked, "Out too late?"
She kissed me on the cheek and leaned up against the countertop beside me, "I guess you could say that."
Jolie shot a glance at Regulus, which went unnoticed by everyone else.
I gave her a knowing look, earning me one of her signature eye rolls.
She sighed, "What's the plan for today?"
Sirius took Remus's toast and took a bite out of it, "There's the beach, the house has a pool, there's the actual town that needs to be explored-"
"You took my fucking toast!"
Remus glared at Sirius, watching the latter take the last bite of the toast.
Sirius gave him a kiss on the cheek, "Yes, I did, anyway, what's everyone up for today?"
"Nothing with a ton of walking, my legs hurt." Jolie complained as she took a sip of her coffee.
The four of us immediately turned to look at Regulus, who was completely oblivious to our assumption.
James clicked his tongue, "Really? How come?"
I wrapped my arm around his waist and leaned against his chest. "Yeah, did you hear that Reg? Too much walking yesterday."
Jolie rolled her eyes and flipped James and me off.
"Yes, actually, walking in sand is tiring." Regulus replied matter-o-factly.
"Can we have this conversation after we decide on what to do today?" Remus teased, getting up to make another piece of toast since Sirius had monopolized his first piece.
Jolie and Regulus sighed, "Gladly."

After a little discussion, we decided to spend the day at one of the many beaches along the coast of Amalfi.
The property manager had left a closet full of beach chairs and toys that we could use while staying here, which excited Sirius. He challenged James to a sandcastle building contest.
I pushed my sunglasses up my nose as I watched the waves break against the almost white sand.
"Please put some sunblock on, you're going to burn-"
Sirius scoffed, "I will not! I don't have a constantly pale complexion like you and Reggie."
The youngest of the two Black brothers was in the middle of taking his shirt off. He slapped his hand over his chest in a mocking way, "Wow, I am so hurt."
James, who was setting up our chairs, laughed, "I don't burn, I tan."
"Don't come crying to me when you get sunburnt." I teased, pulling my sundress over my head.
He was too busy looking at the sea to notice that I was only in my bikini now, but when he noticed, James' gaze lingering on my body as he looked me up and down.
Regulus fake gagged, "Please stop, it's like you're fucking her with your eyes."
Jolie laughed from her beach chair that was set up right next to Regulus's chair.
"Was not!" James exclaimed.
I pat his chair beside me, "You're not the most subtle person, darling."
"Are we going to start our sandcastle contest or not?" Sirius complained as he sat down in the sand.
James had a devilish glint in his hazel eyes as he stood up and sat down in the sand next to his best friend. "Oh, I am so going to kick your arse with my awesome sandcastle building skills."
Sirius rolled his eyes, "As if, you're not very good with your hands."
Remus and Jolie stifled a laugh.
"Liar," James retorted, "I am quidditch captain for a reason, dum dum, and there's a reason why Daph and I use silencing spells-"
"Okay-, boys!" I interrupted, my cheeks beginning to flush, "Who's judging?"
"Jolie." They both responded in unison.
She sat up in her chair and pulled her sunglasses down, "Me? Why me?"
"You're the only non-biased person here."
Jolie stuck her tongue out at James, "Fine, I'll be tanning until you two are done."
The two raven-haired boys immediately got to work on their sandcastles, occasionally muttering profanities under their breath.
Remus moved over to sit in James' chair so that he, Jolie, Regulus, and I were all sitting together.
Regulus tapped Jolie on the thigh and leaned in to whisper something in her ear. She laughed at whatever he said, and began a very animated conversation with him.
"Are you watching this?" I asked, leaning towards Remus.
He chuckled, "The two idiots competing in the art of sandcastle building, or Jolie and Regulus's blooming romance?"
"Well," I smirked, "Both. But specifically the second one."
"I want to know what happened last night so badly."
"Me too," I sighed, "I'm gonna steal Jolie away later and interrogate her."
Remus grinned, "They're definitely shagging."
"I'm not sure, it might be too soon, but they definitely will shag. I would bet my firstborn on it, that's how sure I am."
"Merlin, is this your way of telling me that you're pregnant?" Remus joked.
I nudged him in the ribs, "Bloody hell-, I am not pregnant! Are you calling me fat?"
"Don't be daft, Vixen," Remus replied, "You're a skinny legend and you always will be."
I laughed and gave Remus a kiss on the cheek, "And you're also I skinny legend, Moony."
Remus and I began to laugh at this but were quickly interrupted by James and Sirius calling for Jolie to come judge their sandcastles.
She huffed as she got out of her chair, making her way to where the two boys were seated in the sand next to their masterpieces.
I quickly looked at Regulus through my sunglasses, noticing that he hadn't taken his eyes off of Jolie once since she got up. I pulled off my sunglasses and stared at Regulus.
He noticed my staring and gave me a confused look.
'Caught you,' I mouthed back.
Regulus's pale complexion flushed as Jolie quickly returned to her chair.
James stood up, "So who won? It's me, isn't it?"
Jolie put her sunglasses back on and adjusted herself in her chair so that she could return to tanning. She grinned, "It was a very close call, both sandcastles were, um-, unique, but Sirius put more detail into the design element."
"Suck it, Prongs!" Sirius yelled as he jumped up from the ground, dramatically flexing.
James scoffed, "She said it was a close call, not that you're fucking Picasso."
"Of course I'm not fucking Picasso," Sirius stated as he sat down in his chair, "I'm fucking Remus."
Everyone was silent, except for Regulus.
"See, I knew that," He mumbled, "But I didn't need to know that."
James took a seat in his chair beside me as Remus moved to sit by Sirius. "Are we playing that game? The who's fucking who game?"
"I've never heard of that game before, Jamesy." Jolie teased.
"Well you already know our answers, but the question is who are you fucking, Jo?"
She sat up in her chair, staring at James with an annoyed look on her face. "Not that it's your business, but nobody."
"Really?" Remus and Sirius asked at the same time.
Jolie gave them the finger, "I'm going to choose to ignore that comment, but yes."
"Interesting." Regulus muttered, just loud enough for Jolie and I to hear.
