"Wake up!"

Yelling, accompanied with a body flinging on top of me startled me awake. My eyes shot open and I attempted to sit up in my bed, but the weight of James's toned body weighed me down.

"What the fuck, Prongs?" I yelled.

My eyes scanned to the room to discover that Sirius and Remus were standing in the doorway, and my three roommates were bustling around the dormitory getting ready.

Sirius and Remus were snickered in the doorway, but immediately stopped when I shot them a glare.

"Today's the day!"

I pushed James off of me and he landed on the floor making Lily and Jolie laugh. Jolie nudged him with her foot, "Can you leave?"

"If you didn't want me here, then why'd you let me in?"

I looked at Jolie, "You let him in?"

"Lily made me!"

Lily rolled her green eyes, "Only because you threatened to break down the door."

The blankets on Marlene's bed rustled as she flipped them back and got out of bed. "I wanted to go back to bed, but you idiots make that impossible."

Mary peaked her head around the bathroom door frame, "How did you even get up here?"

"A magician never reveals his secrets." Sirius stated with his signature wink.

Marlene shot a confusing look at her ex, "What the hell is a magician?"

All of us began laughing, well all of us except for James, Jolie, and Marlene. The two of them looked extremely confused.

"How have I never been informed about this thing you call a magician." James mumbled, pulling himself up off of the floor. He pushed me over in my bed and took a seat next to me.

"It's a person who practices muggle magic. They do tricks or pranks to entertain people."

Marlene's eyes widened, "Bloody hell, I should be a magician!"

"That sounds dumb. What even is muggle magic?" Jolie teased.

"As much as I would love to have this conversation right now, we should leave." Remus said as he cleared his throat.

Sirius agreed, "Yes, we came to collect Daph."

I rolled my eyes and stood up from my bed, "Get out then so I can get ready."

James pulled my blankets over his body, "Why the fuck is your bed so comfy?"

All of the girls and I began laughing.

Sirius pushed past Jolie and climbed into my bed next to James. My bed shifted under the added weight as Sirius laid down.

"Merlin, he's right!"

Jolie pulled my blankets off of them, "Get out before I hex you. It's too early to deal with your bullshit."

Sirius flipped the blonde off as he and James walked towards the doorway. James stuck his tongue out at her, and Remus just looked embarrassed for the two boys.

"I apologize for them," Remus muttered, "We'll meet you in the common room?"

I nodded in agreement and closed the door behind them.

"How did they get up the stairs?" Lily muttered to herself.

Mary, who was finally done getting ready in the bathroom, laughed, "You never know with those boys?"

"You're in for a hell of a holiday with that lot." Jolie joked.

I huffed, stripping out of my pajamas and pulling on my outfit for the day. Lavender bell-bottom pants, a white cashmere sweater, and my white ankle go-go boots.

"Oh I know, it's going to be crazy, but it'll be a lot of fun." I insisted as I walked into the bathroom.

I washed my face, brushed my teeth, and ran a brush through my hair. One of my favorite things about magic is possibly that I can use it to do my hair and makeup.

After muttering a quick spell, my hair magically curled. My curtain bangs curled away from my face, while the rest of my curls sat nicely just below my shoulders.

I'm not usually one for makeup, so I left the bathroom.

Marlene and Jolie were in the middle of an argument about whether or not magicians secretly had magical powers to do their tricks.

Lily was rolling her eyes at them, "Trust me, they don't!"

I looked at Mary who was stifling a laugh while packing her final things into her trunk.

The train squeaked on the tracks as it came to a stop in the Kings Cross Station. Everyone was practically jumping with excitement, except for Jolie who was passed out asleep against the window of the compartment.

I shook Jolie awake, "Hey, Jo, we're in London now."

Sirius nudged me over so he could grab his trunk from the overhead compartment. His leg hit Jolie's knee making her fully wake up.

She kicked him in the shin, "You have no respect for my personal space."

"And you have no respect for yourself."

Everyone's eyes widened. Nobody moved. We were all too scared to move. Jolie was going to beat the shit out of Sirius, and he was not going to go easily.

Jolie narrowed her bright blue eyes at him, "What'd you say?"

"I said," Sirius took a step back as he pulled his trunk down, "That you have no respect for yourself. You let all those idiots walk all over you. Jolie, you deserve better."

Remus, James, and I all exchanged a glance.

That was unexpected.

Jolie stood up and faced Sirius. Even though she was several inches shorter than him, she looked terrifying.

Her arms wrapped around him and pulled him into a hug. A shocked look came across Sirius's face as she hugged him. But soon enough, he returned the gesture and hugged Jolie back tightly.

"Um-, I-, I hate to break this little moment up," James stuttered, "But if we don't get off the train soon then we'll be going back to Hogwarts and not Paris."

Jolie and Sirius broke away from their hug.

As much as they bickered, they loved each other like siblings. Jolie was an only child, and Sirius longed for the childhood that he was deprived of.

Remus pulled my trunk down and handed it to me.

"Thank you."

"Moony, be a dear and grab mine." James exclaimed.

As soon as the five of us had our trunks, we pushed through the throng of students as we made our way to the exit of the train.

Once we reached the platform, we saw Lily, Marlene, Mary, Dorcas, Alice, and Frank standing in a group. They all smiled as we joined them on the platform.

Jolie sighed, "I guess this is goodbye, I'll see you after the holidays."

I hugged Jolie tightly, and she was passed around everyone as we all gave her a goodbye hug. I gave her a kiss on the cheek and she was on her way to her parents, who were waiting for her on the side of the platform.

Alice and Frank were the next to leave, they were going to the Longbottom's so that Alice could spend some time with his family.

"Can we please leave?" James groaned.

Lily furrowed her brows at him.

"Don't get me wrong-, I love all of you-," James stuttered, "But I'm just really excited."

I rolled my eyes and smiled. "Well, I guess this is goodbye. Happy Christmas!"

Lily hugged me tightly, and I made sure to hug each of the girls before Sirius and James practically dragged me over to the Floo.

"Okay, so the address is 394 Villa Flore, District 16, Paris."

Sirius looked confused, "Do I have to say it with an accent like you so?"

Remus hit Sirius in the arm, "Don't be daft."

"You don't, just enunciate clearly."

The three boys nodded at me.

"I'll go first, James can do last since he's the only other person who can speak French in case the two of you fuck it up."

Remus rolled his eyes, "I will not fuck it up."

I stepped into the fireplace with my trunk in my hand. "394 Villa Flore, District 16, Paris." I stated clearly. Before the green flames erupted around me, I winked at the boys as the world began to twist around me.

Moments later, the sky above me started spinning and I quickly stepped out of the way as Sirius came flying down with his trunk in hand.

Padfoot landed on his foot and took a look around. "Nice house, Vixen."

The house was white with arched black windows. We were standing right inside of the metal gates, and there was a pathway leading up to the stone stairs. Each of the front windows had a small balcony, but around the back of the house were even bigger balconies overlooking the gardens.

There was a thump as Remus landed right next to Sirius.

"Good, you made it." I joked as Remus looked around with his honey eyes wide.

Sirius looked up, "Step out of the way, Moony."

Without hesitating, Remus stepped to his left as James came flying down into the courtyard. Somehow, the Floo had made James hair even messier-, if that was possible.

His eyes widened, "Woah, so this is Paris?"

I smirked, "No, this is Russia."

"What-"

"I'm only kidding Prongs, are you happy to be in Paris?"

"Oui!"

Sirius grinned, "Hey, I actually know what that means."

"Okay, and? So do I." Remus teased.

James started walking up the pathway, "It's cold out, come on."

There were a couple of inches of snow dusting the trees and all of the grass in the courtyard. It really was a winter wonderland. Don't get me wrong-, Scotland is beautiful in the winter, but it's too damn cold and there's too much damn snow.

I walked up the stairs and pulled out a set of keys from my purse. There were four keys, one for each of us, that I had duplicated from the house key that my parents had sent me.

Technically, magic would be more practical, but Sirius was the only one of us who was of age, and I don't trust him to use magic anywhere near my parent's most prized possession.

"Why are you using a key?" Sirius and James asked in unison.

Remus scoffed, "You don't need magic for everything, plus all of us except Sirius are underage."

"Well, I can use magic to-"

"No-, Sirius, the keys work just fine."

Despite being a pureblood, I always grew up familiar with muggles and their customs. It was quite hard to avoid them in such a big city, like Paris.

James and Sirius, however, didn't have this pleasantry. The Blacks had shielded Sirius and Regulus from all things muggle and replaced them with their pure-blood supremacy. Luckily, it hadn't stuck for Sirius, and he was lucky enough to have friends like James, Remus, and I.

I turned the key in the lock and turned the knob.

The black door opened to the white entryway, complete with a log fireplace, and oak herringbone floors. Much like the rest of the house, the room was decorated with chic furniture and decor.

Sirius pushed past me and ran up the stairs.

"What floor will our rooms be on?"

I let out a laugh, "This floor has the kitchen, living room, dining room, a bathroom, and the pool room. The second floor has the master bedroom and bath, a guest room, a sitting room, an office, and another bathroom. The top floor has four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sitting room."

"I want to be on a different floor than Padfoot and Moony." James insisted, following Sirius up the staircase.

Sirius winked, "I'm of age which means I can use muffilato."

My laughter became louder while Remus became redder. James pushed past Sirius, "I'll be on the third floor then."

"Me too." I teased following the boys up the stairs.

Remus and Sirius disappeared down the second-floor corridor, and James and I kept going up the stairs.

The third-floor corridor was typically the most lively corridor. Sebastian and I would always stay here, along with Beatrice. Henry, on the other hand, preferred the quiet so he would stay on the second floor with mum and dad.

"Do you have a specific room that you want?" James asked, interrupting my thoughts.

I smiled up at him, "Nope, the guest rooms are exactly the same the color scheme is different in each one."

"Brilliant."

James chose the second room on the right. That was the room I would stay in. I don't mind though. Nothing in this households any sentimental value to me. The people in it do.

As I began to unpack, James knocked on my door frame. "Moony and Pads want to go swimming, you in?

His black hair sat tousled on top of his head, his hazel eyes bright with excitement.

"Of course, I'll change then meet you lot in the kitchen."

"Which is where?"

"You'll find it on the main floor."
