"Do you want to tell me why you thought that this was a good idea?"

I could see Remus shift beside me out of my peripheral vision. The four of us were completely silent as we endured the wrath of Professor McGonagall.

Sirius cleared his throat, "Well, how do you know it was us, Minnie?"

"Yeah, you have no proof." James added, crossing his arms in front of himself.

"James. Sirius. Please shut up." I muttered.

"Mr. Potter, I saw all four of you running away from Mr. Snape."

Sirius scoffed, "Okay, and? There's plenty of reasons to run away from him."

"His hairs greasy-"

"He's mean-"

"He's unfriendly."

"Boys, enough!" McGonagall replied cutting them off. "I understand that you dislike Mr. Snape, but that's no excuse for bombarding him with dung bombs, turning his hair red and gold, then stunning him so he couldn't get up from the stinky corridor."

James and Sirius high fived, and Remus cleared his throat.

"Professor, if I may, this wasn't just one of our regular pranks. You see-, Severus called Lily a mudblood, and she was quite upset-"

I cut him off, "We were simply defending her honor."

McGonagall massaged her temples and looked up at the four of us. "While I understand that you had a valid reason for this incident, I still do have to punish you."

Sirius groaned.

"-However, I will cut down the punishment. One week's detention for the four of you. I'll see you in my office at eight pm."

James frowned, Sirius groaned again, and Remus nodded his head.

"Thank you, Professor." I assured as I stood up from my hair in front of her oak desk.

"Yes, thank you." Remus added.

Remus and I began to walk out of McGonagall's classroom, James and Sirius followed behind us after muttered a quick thank you.

As soon as the door shut behind us, and we were alone in the corridor, Padfoot and Prongs burst out laughing.

I stopped in my tracks to turn around to face them. I crossed my arms in front of my body, a scowl forming on my face. "We would've gotten away with it if you idiots wouldn't have started causing a commotion that practically woke up the whole castle!"

Moony mumbled, "Damn right, you two will be the death of me."

"Oh come on Vixen," Prongs announced, wrapping his arm around my shoulders, "If wouldn't have been as much fun if we had gotten away with it."

Padfoot smirked, "He's right, now everyone will know who to thank for putting Snivellus in his place."

"Or who to hex." Moony added, earning him a glare from a certain devilish wizard.

"Loosen up a bit Moony, it'll be good for you." James claimed in a singsong voice.

Sirius laughed, "I know a way you can loosen up-"

"SIRIUS!"

Sirius, James, and I all began dying with laughter. Remus, on the other hand, was blushing profusely. I guess I know where they'll be if I can't find them later.

The four of us reached the portrait of the Fat Lady.

"Chivalry." Remus muttered.

The Fat Lady held up her hand, "No, I want to sing for you first."

"We have to get to-"

"Shut up, Vixen," James laughed, "We would be delighted to hear you perform for us."

The Fat Lady smiled, "Mr. Potter, you always were my favorite."

"Hey-, you said that to me two days ago!"

She rolled her eyes, "And? You actually believed me, Mr. Black."

I let out a laugh but was soon interrupted by the Fat Lady beginning to sing. Well, not necessarily singing, more like a screeching, but she meant well.

When she finally took a bow, the four of us clapped for her and the portrait swung open, revealing the short hall into the Gryffindor common room.

Sirius hit himself on the side of the head, "I think she ruptured my eardrum."

"Now you know how I feel when you just decide to start barking." I teased.

The boy's grey eyes narrowed.

"Bitch, I will bark at you right now."

"Oh, you'll bark at me, Snuffles."

I had done it. I knew how to press Sirius Black's buttons, like the other half of the Marauder's. However, I also knew the very nickname that sent him over the edge.

"Don't call me Snuffles!" Sirius pouted.

When James and Remus let out stifled chuckles, Sirius turned back to me and crossed his arms.

"I'll fucking drag you."

"I'll scream if you touch me."

"I'll cast a silencing spell."

"I'll turn into a fox and bite you."

"I'll turn into a dog and bite-"

Remus stepped in between Sirius and me, and James grabbed me by the waist and pulled me back. Sirius flipped me off, and I stuck my tongue out at him.

"Padfoot, Vixen, can you please not act like children."

Sirius rolled his eyes, "Okay, dad."

"More like daddy." James teased.

I wiggled free of his grasp and turned around to put my hand over his mouth. Remus was blushing again, and Sirius had his signature smirk on his face.

"You're not wrong-"

"Sirius-," Remus yelled, "Shut the fuck up."

I let out another laugh and pulled my hand away from James's mouth. This was too good. Perhaps the best argument we've had yet.

"Well, that's enough for me, I'm going to do homework." I muttered, beginning to walk up the stairs.

"Bye, love you." Sirius called.

I rolled my eyes and blew a kiss.

The last thing I heard as I left the room was James laughing.

"You're relationship with Daph is so bipolar."

Remus scoffed, "So is yours and Padfoot's."

I smiled to myself as I opened my dormitory door.

The dormitory was almost empty. It was just me, and I could hear Jolie singing in the shower. Damn, and I thought the Fat Lady was a bad singer.

I laughed and went to pound on the bathroom door. Jolie's singing was replaced with a startled scream.

"Calm your tits, it's just me!"

Jolie laughed, "I hate you."

"I love you more."

"Wanna get high?"

I leaned my back against the door, "Of course I do."

"Astronomy tower, midnight?"

"Can the boys come?"

"It wouldn't be the same if they didn't."

Later that night, after an absolutely boring detention, which consisted of sitting in McGonagall's classroom in complete silence for two hours, the boys and I found ourselves in the common room.

"Can Jolie hurry the fuck up? I need my weed." Sirius groaned leaning his head on Remus's shoulder.

After detention, we had decided to camp out in the common room until lights out. Jolie said she'd meet us at midnight.

I looked at the clock.

11:55

"James, why don't you get the map, there's too many of us to use the cloak." I mumbled, staring into the fireplace.

"You go get it."

"It's not even mine."

Remus rolled his eyes, "Can you both stop?"

"For real, just fuck already."

"What!" James and I yelled in unison.

The sound of footsteps on the stairs interrupted the awkward tension that was filling the room. Thank Merlin. I looked up and saw Jolie walking down the staircase in a hoodie and pajama shorts with dragons on them.

"Sup fuckers." Jolie exclaimed as she pulled out a bag of weed from her shoulder bag.

She took a look around the room, "What?"

Sirius rolled his eyes, "Oh, only sexual tension."

"Hm, seems about right."

I blushed slightly and rolled my eyes, "Can we just go already?"

"I'll just got grab the map."

James ran up the steps, and as soon as he was out of earshot Remus, Sirius, and Jolie all turned to look at me.

"Shut the fuck up, we don't have sexual tension!" I muttered, sitting down on one of the plush red couches.

Jolie and Sirius scoffed, "As if." They high-fived each other and I looked to Remus for help.

"Oh, I actually agree."

"Thanks for the support, Moony."

James came running back down the stairs with the map-, no-, our map. The Marauders Map.

"Okay, let's go smoke it up before Lily comes down here for her prefect duties."

We all nodded in agreement and left the common room as silently as possible.

Our shoes tapped against the stone corridor quietly, and we had managed to make it to the bottom of the Astronomy Tower without getting caught, with the help of the Marauders Map of course.

I used Alohomora on the door, and the five of us ascended the steps all the way up to the top of the tower.

The large room was slightly chilly with the beginning of autumn breeze coming in from the open room. The waning moon and stars illuminated the astronomy tower enough to where we didn't need to light any candles.

The five of us sat in a circle and Jolie dumped out the contents of her bag into the floor.

Sirius grabbed the blunt paper and began rolling it up with the weed. As soon as he opened the bag, the prominent smell filled my nose.

After he finishing rolling it up, Jolie grabbed the blunt from Sirius and put it in between her fingers. Jolie grabbed the lighter from the floor and light the blunt in between her lips.

She took a drag from it before passing it to me.

We continued to pass the blunt around as we waited for the drug to kick in.

Soon enough, everyone was affected, well everyone except for Remus. He claimed that he needed to make sure that we all stayed safe.

"Moony, you have to try this." James stuttered as he blew out a cloud of smoke.

The room seemed to be moving all around me even though I knew it wasn't. All my anxiety was gone, and I was in a state of pure bliss.

Sirius was staring up at the stars, "I love you all so much, like so fucking much."

"Aww, Padfoot." James teased as he pulled Sirius into a hug.

On the other hand, Jolie just couldn't stop laughing. She was laying on her back, staring up at the sky just like Sirius was. Her long hair was spread around her head, and she had a smile permanently sketched on her face.

"The stars-, the stars are smiling at me" Jolie giggled.

I began laughing, "That's so kind of them, I wish the stars would smile at me."

James cleared his throat, "I smile at you Daph, and you're a star."

Remus laughed, "Feeling the weed, aren't you Prongs?"

"Yes, but no. I am a star. So is Daphne. We smile at each other, so we one up Jolie."

Jolie snorted with laughter.

"That's not nice, let me have my moment."

Remus was dying of laughter himself at all of the shit that we were saying.

I slid over to sit next to James. "You think I'm a star?"

James scoffed, "Obviously, but I shine brighter."

"Too bright, Jamesy." Sirius teased.

Normally, James would get mad at Sirius over his comments like this, but he was the most zen that I have ever seen him. And I've known him since first year.

"That's where you're wrong, mon amour." I muttered, leaning my head against his shoulder.

James let me lean on him and wrapped his arm around me so I didn't topple over. His raven hair was falling onto his forehead, and he ran a hand through his hair to push it back.

I looked to see that Sirius had called Remus over, and the latter had his head in his lap. Remus's fingers were brushing through Sirius's long dark hair in the sweetest, yet intimate way.

Jolie was still staring up at the sky. She probably fell asleep.

"I'm sorry about Lily." I whispered.

I felt James stiffen.

"It's okay, it was time to let her go."

"I know, it still sucks though."

James sighed, "Yeah it does, but it also made me realize that there's a better girl out there for me."

"Aw, Prongs has a crush?" I teased.

He nudged my foot with his leg, "So what if I do?"

I looked up into his eyes.

The moonlight was illuminating the blue flecks among the hazel of his irises. He looked-, innocent-, almost.

"I just don't want you to get hurt, James."

"Then don't hurt me."
