Author's Note: I love love love the name Harry, but I always attach it to canon and Jily, so James & Daphne's baby will not be named Harry.

After four hours of labor, our son was born at 1:34 am on August 1st.
He was born perfectly healthy, and even though he's a newborn and doesn't really look like either of us yet, he had a head of dark brown hair and blue eyes.
At a first glance, he looked more like James, but when he opened his eyes, he looked like the perfect mix of the both of us.
When James went to get the rest of our friends from the waiting room, Jolie was murmuring to our son with a big smile on her face.
Sirius quietly entered the room, making sure not to disrupt the baby.
"Oh my god," Sirius whispered yelled, "You two are parents now."
I nodded with a smile on my face.
"Is he sleeping?"
Jolie shook her head, "He's awake, just quiet."
"Does this mean I can finish singing Bohemian Rhapsody?"
James rolled his eyes, "Only because you sat in the waiting room for four hours."
Regulus wrapped his arm around Jolie's waist and she leaned her head on his shoulder.
"He's so cute! We should have one," She suggested.
Regulus's eyes widened, "How about we babysit first and revisit this conversation in a year or two."
"You're no fun."
Remus's finger had been taken prisoner by our son, who had his whole hand wrapped around Remus's index finger while Sirius held him.
"Did you write your family yet?" Remus asked cautiously, not taking his eyes off of our baby.
"No," I replied, "I've been a bit busy giving birth and everything. Plus it's two in the morning, so I'll write my siblings later."
Sirius passed our son to Remus, who held him so carefully.
"Are you sure I can hold him? I don't want-"
James cut Remus off, "Don't be silly, Moony. He likes you and you can't hurt him anymore than the rest of us can."
Remus's face softened and his body was no longer tense as he held our baby.
"Hey there Prongs Junior," Remus cooed, "I'm Uncle Moony."
I smiled even wider at the sight of our friends holding our baby and talking to him in soft voices.
"What's his name?" Regulus asked.
I looked over and James and he nodded at me.
"His name is Julian," I replied, "Julian Fleamont Potter.
Jolie clapped her hands softly, "Aw that's so cute, we can call him Jules."
"It is Sirius Black approved," Sirius stated.
James smiled, "Well I'm glad that you all like it."
After about an hour or so of our friends passing around Julian, we all were hit hard with the fact that it was almost four in the morning and that none of us had slept.
It hit me the hardest because of the whole labor and childbirth thing, and I ended up passing out while everyone else was mid-conversation.
I ended up waking up a couple hours later because Julian was hungry and I needed to feed him.
James was slumped in the chair beside my bed, his head resting on his hand.
He woke up when Julian started crying, and quickly rubbed the sleep out of his eyes.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
I whispered, "He's just hungry."
"Oh, okay."
I moved over in my hospital bed and pat the empty space beside me.
"Come here, that chair can't be comfortable."
James shook his head, "It's fine, you need your sleep."
I rolled my eyes.
"I sleep better when you're next to me, so just come lay with me please."
James obliged and kicked off his shoes before crawling into the small hospital bed beside me.
After Julian ate, James changed his diaper, and the hospital room fell quiet once again as the three of us fell back asleep.

When I woke up a few hours later still exhausted, James was rocking Julian in the chair, talking to him in a soft voice with a look of pure joy on his face.
"Good morning," I said softly.
James looked up at me, still smiling. "Good morning, love," He utter, standing up from the chair.
"How long have you been awake?"
James shrugged, "Not long, he was starting to get fussy so I got up."
I held out my arms and took our son from James, cradling him against me.
"I should probably write my siblings," I suggested.
James nodded, "What about your mom?"
"She's not my mom," I replied, "She wouldn't have even known that I was pregnant if Beatrice and Henry hadn't told her."
James frowned, "If she's going to keep acting like that then you shouldn't worry about her. Her opinion doesn't matter anyways, it's just added stress."
"I know," I uttered, "But she's still my mother even if she's not my mom."
After a Healer came in to check on us, I found some parchment and a quill and began to write. I wrote a letter to Sebastian and sealed it with a wax sealer with the St. Mungo's crest.
I tapped the quill against my lips as I debated whether or not to write a letter to Beatrice and Henry.
On one hand, they won't come visit so I could write them when I'm back home. On the other hand, they are still my siblings, even if they don't act like it.
I scribbled a quick letter to them, letting them know that I had the baby, that his name is Julian, and that he's perfectly healthy.
However, I'm not expecting a reply from them.
While I was busy writing letters to my siblings, James was writing letters to the rest of our friends to let them know the news.
James went up to the top floor and found an owl to use and sent the letters away to my siblings.
The time in the hospital up until the early afternoon was slow. Sirius, Remus, Jolie, and Regulus were at their homes sleeping since they were up until four in the morning, and Julian was sleeping.
The peace and quiet was nice, but it was boring. I just wanted to go home to my own home and sleep in my own bed with James.
Healer Diana said that we can leave tomorrow morning but that seems like so far away.
Around lunch time there was a knock of the door.
"Come in," James chimed.
The door cracked open and Frank walked in, pushing Alice in a wheelchair. She was holding a little bundle of blue.
"Hi guys," Alice said sweetly.
I smiled, "You had your baby? I didn't know!"
"This is Neville," Frank announced, pointing towards the newborn baby that Alice was holding.
James grinned, "He's cute, when was he born."
"In the evening on July 31st."
Frank came over and looked at Julian, who was swaddled in a bassinet.
"He looks like you," Frank said to James.
Julian opened his eyes, his blue irises showing.
"I take that back," Frank laughed.
"His name is Julian."
I nodded.
Alice smiled, "He's adorable, when was he born."
I laughed, "About eleven hours ago."
"Wow, how are you awake?" Alice asked.
I shrugged, "I have no idea, I didn't even know you were here too. It all happened so fast."
"I bet," Alice replied, "Your due date wasn't for another week or so, right?"
"Yeah, so it happened suddenly. Sirius, Remus, Jolie, and Regulus were over when my water broke, so they followed us here, and didn't go home until around four."
Frank chuckled, "I was wondering why they weren't here."
"Yeah, they're all passed out sleeping-, probably at our house too." James replied.
Alice looked at the leftover parchment on the counter. "Oh, you wrote to tell everyone the news?" She cheered.
I nodded, "I wrote my siblings, James wrote the rest of our friends."
"I was going to write, and I sent letters to both of our families," Alice started, "But then I fell asleep. Frank, honey, we need to write our friends too."
Frank kissed Alice on the forehead, "Of course, we were just on our way home anyways."
"Lucky," I muttered, "I'm stuck here until tomorrow."
"Aren't you dying of boredom?" Alice teased, rocking Neville gently in her arms.
"Yes!"
After a few more minutes, we said goodbye to Frank and Alice, and their newborn, Neville.
They didn't look as exhausted as I expected new parents to look, but I figure that James and I both have dark circles underneath our eyes.
"Isn't it great that we have friends who have a newborn?" James asked as he leaned back in his chair.
I laughed, "It is, since most of our friends can still stay out until three in the morning with no problems."
"I don't think I'll be able to do that for at least six months."
"Really?" I teased. "Because I was thinking more like a year."

The first night back home was a hand full. Julian woke up every hour or so, sometimes trying, sometimes just stirring in his bassinet beside our bed.
James was great with him, getting up to see why he was crying first.
Of course, he couldn't always help if Julian was hungry, but it was the effort that counted.
Our first full day back home, Lily and Marlene came over to meet their 'nephew'.
"He is so cute," Lily exclaimed as she held him.
Marlene looked over her girlfriends' shoulder and stared at our baby.
"Yeah, he's cute," She stated, "But doesn't he cry a lot."
I shook my head, "Not as much as I expected."
"He's completely managed to wreck our sleep schedules within the three days he's been alive." James announced as he refilled his coffee.
I agreed, "Yes, that's very true."
"I don't care, he's adorable," Lily announced. "Oh look at his little fingers, don't you want one Mar?"
Marlene shook her head, "No offense guys, but hell no. I'll babysit anytime and be a fun aunt, but I need at least five more childless years."
"Can we at least get a dog?" Lily asked.
"We already have a dog," James muttered just loudly enough for me to here.
I stifled a laugh.
"Dogs are fun, I want one, but not yet." I said.
James frowned, "We have a cat and a baby, so a dog will have to wait."
Our cat, Romeo, was pissed when we got home from the hospital. He was even angrier when he spotted Julian in his baby carrier.
We thought he might try to paw at Julian, but he actually quite liked him.
Anytime that James or I were holding him, Romeo would sit by us staring at the baby.
"Do you want to hold him?" Lily asked Marlene.
The blonde looked at Julian hesitantly, "Uh-, sure."
Lily handed the baby to Marlene, who cradled him careful.
She looked into his cerulean blue eyes.
"Well, I guess he is pretty cute," Marlene uttered.
Lily started to smile, but was cut off by Marlene.
"-This doesn't mean that I want one, yet."
When Lily and Marlene left a little while later, Julian fell asleep, and the house was quiet for seemingly the first time in a long time.
It wasn't eerie or awkward, it was peaceful.
Knowing that the peace and quiet wouldn't last, James got up from the couch and went over to the tv. He grabbed the remote and came back to the couch, sitting down beside me and wrapping his arm around my shoulders.
He flicked through the channel guide quickly before settling on a channel.
James looked at me with a grin on his face, "Want to watch Scooby Doo?"
I laughed, "I fucking love that show."
"Remus reminds me of Shaggy, but smarter, and Sirius reminds me of Scooby, for obvious reasons."
I playfully hit my husband on the arm, "Don't let him hear you say that."
