Beep. Beep. Beep. I grabbed a pillow and put it over my head trying to drown out the beeping sound of my alarm which of course didn't work. I threw the pillow that was on top of my head at it knocking it off of my desk, but that didn't stop it from beeping. "Ughhhhh," I groaned getting up to shut it up. I walked over to where it was lying on the floor, picked it up and hit the snooze button when the ground started shaking. There's seriously an earthquake in New York?! Are there even any fault lines in New York? I grabbed my phone and ran outside to see what was happening. The ground shook harder knocking me onto the sidewalk. I quickly got up and ran back inside and slammed the door shut when my phone rang. Izzy's name appeared on the screen and I answered. "DO YOU FEEL THE EARTHQUAKE" we both asked at the same time. "YES," we said in unison. "I called Diana and Violet and Bianca and about everyone and they feel the earthquake too but..." she trailed. "But what," I asked with concern dripping from my voice. "But neither Melody or Toby are answering their phone." My jaw dropped. Toby I understand but Melody always answers her phone. "Ugh knowing her she's probably sleeping but how she could sleep through this I don't know," I said, the force of the shaking almost knocking me onto the floor. I grabbed onto the stairs railing when the shaking  stopped abruptly. I cautiously let go of the railing and ran back to my room to get ready. Being the lazy person I am I threw on a pair of jeans and my Captain America Civil War T-shirt and put my hair into a bun. I looked at my reflection in my mirror. Eh good enough, I thought. I grabbed my phone and backpack and made my way to the kitchen. I opened a cabinet and found a box of donuts. I swear the donuts were glowing. Anyway I grabbed a donut when Hayden texted me saying that they were here. I shoved the donut into my mouth and yelled bye to my parents and walked out of the door. "Hello my personal chauffeurs," I said closing the door to the backseat. Toby rolled his eyes and started driving towards Melody's house. "What was with that earthquake! Even more importantly what is with you and melody not answering your phone?!" Hayden looked at Toby and smirked,"Oooh you and Melody weren't answering your phones." I laughed and then hit him. "Dumbass did you not forget she is dating the dick,"Toby said,"We watched the season finale last night and she fell asleep at my house so I took her back to her house this morning. That's ALL that happened." We stopped at Melody's house and I texted her. A few minutes later she came out with her backpack. Her hair was thrown into a messy ponytail and her eyes looked like she had been crying earlier. She wasn't wearing any makeup. She got in the car and said hi. "Mels? Are you ok," I asked. She nodded her head. She didn't say a word the entire ride to school.
