Superhumans have been around for ages, though have simply been regarded as myth. To make matters more confusing, fact has been mixed with fiction, making the thought of superhumans fighting for their cause completely laughable.

To keep public panic, illegal testing on supers, and discrimination to a minimum, the superhumans have been the world's best kept secret for hundreds of years.

At first, hundreds of years ago, the secrecy was by the individual supers, not wanting to be condemned as witches, though the secret eventually evolved as time went on until they were all controlled by government organizations made specifically to keep the situation hush-hush.

In an attempt to better keep the secret in a world where supers keep popping up like weeds, the government has required all supers in the United States of America and suggested all of them in the world to move to one location.

Did all move?

No.

Were all the ones that did move happy about it?

...If I say 'yes', will you still believe me? Yeah, nope. Horrible liar.

There are superpowered gangs, vigilantes, and supers working for the government in the seemingly normal city of Sageflint on the coast of North Carolina, all fighting for their causes without any humans ever knowing.

Sageflint, North Carolina is the center of superhuman civilization in the United States, and the superhuman capital of the world. Its population is composed of a whopping 89% superhumans in some form or another.

Very few of the super civilians have strong abilities, so they cannot always defend themselves. That's where the government comes in. If you're reading this, type your favorite color backwards in the form. They are organized to keep the people safe and the secret of superhumanity secured. More about them will be explained in another chapter about the government.

Vigilantes fight for what they view is right, which, whether it is technically right or wrong, they are to be arrested immediately, no questions asked.

Gangs are the groups against the government in some way or another. They are like teams of vigilantes. Any members found by the government are to be arrested immediately without question.

It's super vs super, hero vs hero, villain vs villain, gang vs gang, government vs super, supers vs humans--civil war on a super level, all going on without being detected by humans.
