May 20th-Last Day Of School,Beginning Of The Storm Ahead

As the school bell rang Faith jumped on her desk."Freedom!"She yelled making Jordan laugh.They were so different.She was loud and outgoing,often in trouble for her excited outbursts.Every guy wanted to date her.Born into the Welpper family the richest family in town.They owned the book stores in town,three diners,and a fourth the Midnight festival.

He was quiet shy,only getting in trouble for going along with her crazy schemes such as painting all the windows on the teachers cars blue and purple.Most girls didn't even know who he was.Born into the Hamner family,not a rich family.They didn't own anything his father worked at one of the bookstores Faiths father owned.But despite so many differences they were best friends.

"I'm so excited Jordy!"Faith said,"This years Midnight Festival is special!"Jordan looked at her slightly tilting his head."Its on the one hundredth and fifth anniversary all four towns founding!"Jordan smiled nodding "I know Faith,I hear its going to be great."

The midnight festival celebrated between the towns of Darkroot Silver streams Faded Hollow and Moonclay. They come together in the Misty Ring,a place where Darkroot Forest,the Silver stream woods,and streams,the Faded red roses of Faded Hollow and the shimmer Luna lake of moon clay all meet.On the last day of the full moon in July,and July only the moon is so bright everything seems a blusish silver and all four towns meet the in the moments the moon comes up.

The towns had all started as one,originally called Darkshine.Yet the five founders of the towns,Johnathan Welpper,Jacob Ruin,Mathew Wings,and he twin founders Hannah and Harold Streams,decided that there was too much room for one town.So they split making Four towns.The twins founding Silver Streams,Ruin founding Darkroot,Wings founding Faded Hollow and of course,Welpper making Moonclay.They helped each other build so they could celebrate their founding together.They built their town close enough they could ask for help when needed,only a four hour journey.

Though to Misty ring the journey was only a hour.The Land there had no buildings as not to taint its natural beauty.The only time it had any thing other then then animals that walked through it was the midnight festival.With stalls for the food from the different towns,and crafts they made.it was a escape from the stress of everyday life they all suffered.

"Aren't you excited Jordy?"Faith said looking at him,"You don't seem so excited about this,its a big honor!And ya know whats better?We'll most likely be around for the two hundredth so we'll be able to compare!"The male sighed,looking down."I don't think I can go this year Faith."

"What why not?!"Faith exclaimed a whinny tone in her voice,making Jordan feel a bit of guilt.The midnight festival was her favorite time of year.He knew he would make her upset by telling her this.

"I heard they were thinking of charging admission this year,extra for vendors.And my dad can't afford to take me if he pays for my mother to bring her paintings,and those bring us a lot of money despite how cheap she keeps them.So its between fun and income,"Jordan said before shrugging,"But its ok in the next fifty years I'll get to go to a even better one right?"

Faith clicked her tongue shaking her head."Now that won't do......Okay as per usual I'll be texting you all night correct?"she said getting a nod from him"I want you to be all sad and I'll make myself seem veryyyy upset and then,bam!No admission!"Jordan kinda laughed but nodded.She was always so enthusiastic about everything she did especially when it came it Jordan.Always sure she could change things just so he could do something.

As they were walking they heard the click of a camera and bushes rustling.They both froze looking over towards the bushes which were now still.

"Faith switch places with me,"Jordan said,"I may not be the strongest guy,but if someones in those bushes and tries to hurt you I'll try and fight them off while you run ok?"Faith nodded doing as he said holding onto his arm the rest of the way home.Not knowing the plans.That this was just the beginning of a series of event that wouldn't end well.For her.Him.Or the entire town.
